For all those in the greater west Austin area, there is now a place that does ramen justice. Just to be certain, I decided to dine here two days consecutively and it did not disappoint. Day one I had the Miso and on day two I had the black tonkotsu. Staff is friendly, the place is comfortable, price is good, and the portion is better than most. If you want good ramen I think you should go here.It has a lot of choices from normal ramen to spicy ramen.Also you can come for the sushi. The one downside to this that it is really filling so I think they should add sizes for the food.But overall I think this place is really good. read more

My friend recommended this place to me and it definitely was worth the try, I got their spicy chicken ramen and a spicy salmon roll. Both were absolutely delicious and I made them disappear like magic. The ramen broth was nice and creamy with not overwhelming spice. The sushi was average but I'm not complaining. I like their giant electronic menu you see right when you walk in and the interior was fairly nice. Their chairs are just giant wooden blocks so not exactly the most comfortable. Ambience - new store that has a very unique feel. The furniture is all made from plywood planks but it isnt uncomfortable really. Each table has a caddy with chopsticks, napkins and spoons, which is a nice touch. They have 2 menu boards with one being electronic with pictures and the other has all the descriptions. The whole vibe thou is really cool. It kind feels like an actual ramen shop in a small town in Japan. Very simple yet homie Menu - the menu consists of ramen, poke and some basic sushi rolls. They also have some other smaller items like gyoza, shumai and mochi. The menu is a decent size with about 10 choices per main category. They have some signature items in each category but also have some of the most basic or popular dishes as well. The menu is pretty varied and looked good. Not to big but not small either, looked very well rounded. Service - was greeted immediately by a younger gentleman as soon as I walked in. He asked if I knew what I wanted and then went on to give recommendations based upon preferences to spicy, non spicy, hot and cold dishes. He was a friendly guy and did give some good information. He was also super chill, like he was just being himself. Not some kind of fake smile let me read the script kinda cashier. I also observed a younger lady with hair down to her.....rear. Anyways, she seemed really nice as i saw her interact with other guests. Thankfully I only saw her in the dining room and at the cashier. Because he with hair being that long could mean big trouble if she was in the kitchen, since it wasnt up in a bun or anything. My wife has super long hair like that and we have her hair all over our house lol. Anyways, service was good. Everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves and overall friendly. Food - I opted for the Black Tonkatsu ramen based off of the cashiers suggestion of the best ramen. Well.......I really hope this isnt their best dish. Because if it is, then this would be a very disappointing. So my food comes out pretty quick, which is fine. Comes out looking good and nice and hot. I mix everything and let it cool down a bit. I first tasted the broth with the spoon and was left quite perplexed. At first I thought maybe I didn't mix it up enough or I got water instead of broth. The broth itself was very subtle and didn't have any real noticeable flavor. It was kind of like a Vitamin Water. You taste the water but it has a very subtle flavoring of your choice. The broth was very much like that. The noodles themselves were pretty good, had a nice flavor. There was also a ton of noodles. The other ingredients were pretty small in portion as well. So most of the ratio was all water and noodles. The one really awesome thing about the bowl was the pork. This pork was awesome. It was so tender and had a ton of great tasting flavors. It just melts in your mouth and explodes with awesome sauce. The pork was great. But with that being the only thing that had in flavor in my book, led to a slightly disappointing bowl. Overall - I really liked the vibe and flow of this place. I'm not saying my food wasnt good but it was pretty flavorless even though it was recommended to me as a "not spicy but very [bold] and flavorful bowl". For me, it was almost quite the opposite. So maybe it wasn't prepared right or maybe it was described to me wrong. But I pray that if it was made right that this isnt their best ramen bowl. I will still come back and try a different item as I really enjoyed the vibe and staff. And maybe I can find something better or more to my liking. But if that's the best you can give.......well. Found this as we were in the mood for pho but everything was closed. We were not disappointed!! It was so delicious! Exceptionally flavorful and fresh, and the staff was very friendly which I personally appreciate. They gave great suggestions on what to order since we had never been, and they were able to substitute wheat for rice noodles with no issue (I have some health issues and gluten free is something I have to do). The spice in my husband's had kick but was not overbearing (he could still enjoy the other flavors). We liked the clean, simple atmosphere. I wanted to love this place. Noodles are not fresh or made in house. So $11 for what? In Los Angeles you get home made everything for $7. Tonkatsu Black was so salty. I think it is really hard to find a ramen place that does not put tons of MSG in their ramen like Tatsuya and Michi. I stopped going to Ramen places in Austin area for a year until I found this place. My girl and I ordered two Black Tonkutsu Ramens. Both of us agreed on the broth is great and rich but too salty for some reasons. The review stars would go up if they could do better on the broth. Worst experience ever. I ordered $50 worth of food though Uber eats. I got one out of 5 items I ordered. And the one thing I got was the completely wrong ramen. After trying to call the restaurant for 40 mins, they finally answered & we're very rude! They said it was Ubers fault and to call them. Second ramen place I've had in tx. Coming from CA, their prices are great! I had a seafood bowl for $15 which had a whole large shrimp, 2 asari, 2 mussels, and 1 bay scallop. This place is far from traditional, and if it werent for the prices with the food quality being below standard it would have been a 1-. Let me put it in other words. A negative review is never a welcome thing to write. It means there was a real problem with your meal, as it was with our order from EurAsia Ramen. First, the order was simply wrong. I ordered a Bento box, and did not receive either the gyoza or the spring roll. The edamame was not salted. The California rolls were poorly made, too sweet, and unseasoned. The chicken teriyaki was literally inedible. It was overcooked to shoe leather, and its seasoning, too, was way too sweet and just awful. My husband ordered a fish cake that never arrived; perhaps it was hanging out with my gyoza and spring roll. The carelessness of the food preparation and presentation was overwhelming. I tried to call multiple times to address these issues, but could not even get a pick up. I suspect this is because the folks working at this location have simply given up on taste, quality, or caring. read more

Man, I've tasted better noodles and broth from microwave top ramen. I do have to admit, I went one time and the ramen tasted good. It was good enough to bring me back again. The second time it was terrible. I chalked it up to a bad day and went again a few weeks later. Worse then that second time. The noodles were still hard and uncooked, the broth was watered down, the onsen egg fresh from the microwave was terrible. I grew up in Hawaii, surrounded by good food like ramen, and this was the worst I've ever had. Makes me want to open a ramen place cause I know I could do better. We love this place! I think if it was up to The Teenager and I, we'd order from here once or twice a week. The ramen is very good, I always order an extra egg. My favorite is the Black Tonkatsu. Hubs likes their spicy ramens. Teenager likes the Black Tonkatsu as well as the Back to Basic. We always get tasty dumplings, and often some sushi. The packaging for delivery and takeout is excellent. The leftovers keep really well for next day ramen noms. Is it Tatsu-ya? I ordered the spicy vegetarian ramen and it was the most bland ramen I've ever had-- Zero spice, zero flavor. It tasted like I tried to add flavor to a cup of noodles ramen at home, terrible. There was also nearly $10 in delivery and convenience fees added. So almost $30 for crap ramen. I suggest you go somewhere else. read more
