When we got there, they told us they aren't seating anyone.. which they could have told me on the phone when I called. We were with our daughter and this had really frustrated us, if they told us on the phone they aren't seating anyone unless you had a reservation we wouldn't even have gone there still. Walked past the table with empty glasses and would say nothing. The table across from us has to literally get up and go find her at one point. I highly recommend this place. Its huge and has plenty of seating for groups. The service is great and the people are friendly. I ordered the regular eureka cheeseburger and it was AMAZING. Cooked perfectly and filled with flavor. The special sauce that comes on the burger is delicious. The burgers come with fries and they are downright delicious. Perfectly cooked salted and seasoned. My family tried the blues burger and cowboy burger and they said it was amazing. No complaints. I will definitely come back. read more

The location was in the heart of downtown. Plan to search high and low for parking. In the summer time it's a great spot to dip in a cool down. Did it yesterday. It took a while to cool down because we sat by the window. However the window seat provides something to look at, people watch at its finest. The host and server were nice and seemed to be working really hard. As it got busy we lacked quicker service but that's to be expected. Be patient. We made happy hour. Their happy hour was 5 stars. Food and drink was great. It was 3 of us and we spent $25 each, had some left overs, so I kinda feel the 2 dollar signs is deceiving. Wow. Absolutely excellent place! If you're looking at starters, the mac & cheese balls are stellar (and I don't even like cheese!), trufflé french fries are super savory and the chicken nachos are bomb-tastic! You really can't go wrong with anything here. If you're looking at lighter options, the steak salad is very crisp, steak itself is great & and the creamy bleu cheese is just delicious! My boyfriend and I always share both the bone-marrow burger (it's melt-in-your-mouth heavenly!) and firecracker chicken sliders --easily some of the best items on the menu. Not only is the food fantastic, but the staff is always super-attentive and professional. This is hands-down one of my top favorite restaurants! read more

What can i say about the event last night that hasn't already been mentioned by the Yelp Elites who attended the event, it was great success and lot of fun..!! The food was fantastic & had options to tingle every taste bud. Always feel special at these events when there is a special Menu designed to appease every appetite. Now as every Yelper, well most, would tell you, is it's the service and the staff in the front of the house that really sells the delicious dishes to the clientele. I have to mention this specifically, the staff here is friendly, professional, fun & on top of their game. Very situationally aware of what is going on at every table, & with every customer. They are continually moving around serving & clearing tables and making sure you have clean silverware & dishes to enjoy the flavor packed menu options. The drinks were made right, the vibe is trendy & classy, music is lively & not too loud, the location is in the heart of Austin! Truly a great dining experience, excellent for large groups, this place can easily handle your party of 20-30 people, no questions. Our second disappointment in Austin. They killed the chicken. Our chicken sandwiches were dry/over cooked. Nothing worse than that. I ordered beef dip sandwich. Meat was dry...haha even dipped in au ju. The bread was good. read more

Meh. Grabbed a quick lunch here. Food was ok the service wasn't attentive. I clearly said no mango on my tacos. Even mentioned it was an allergy. The tacos arrived with mango. Noticed when I had a mouth full of taco. Could not find my server to get it changed out. Grabbed someone who took care of it but no apologies from anyone. The food here was not amazing yet not underwhelming. It had its peaks. The issue with this restaurant is the wait time in service. Our waiter was scatterbrained. It took him way too long in everything. Multiple tables in our section had the same experience. We all questioned where our waiter would disappeared to. Ask for a check, it would take another 10 minutes. Then another 10 when he returns to process tour bill. Restaurant was not crowded at all. The building itself, not for casual dining. This place sits right in the heart of 6th street. We stopped in for dinner midweek and had no issues finding a seat at the bar. There didn't seem to be much of a wait to grab a table either. They have a wide selection of over 20 beers and whiskeys. Many of the whiskeys they have, I personally haven't heard of except for a couple. Some of the whiskeys they have, once they are gone, they don't reorder them I'm told. They also don't let you sample any of the whiskeys, but they do offer you a whiskey flight. If I recall it was 4 whiskeys of your choosing on their list for $20. The ones that I did choose I wasn't in love with. We ordered the following: Bison Burger (bacon-infused jalapeño jam / charbroiled tri-color peppers / grilled red onion / smoked mozzarella) Jalapeño Egg Burger (fried egg / cheddar / bacon / chipotle sauce / pickled jalapeños) The burgers were money. A good portion of food for the price. They do have more food options than just burgers btw. read more

I had just rolled into Austin with a couple of work colleagues and we were starving. I jumped on to Yelp and found this spot that was right near our hotel...and I was glad I did! When we first arrived at around 7 PM we were kind of surprised at how empty this place was, but we decided to proceed in. By the time we left, it was packed, so I guess we just beat the rush. We started our meal with the Crispy Glazed Brussels Sprouts. I'm not a huge fan of Brussels sprouts, but these were pretty good. We all ended up selecting burgers for our entree, which appeared to be their specialty. Our server highly recommended the Bone Marrow Burger. The thought of it kind of grossed me out, but one of my colleagues tried it and thought it was great. My other colleague went for the Fresno Fig Burger and liked it a lot. I'm a big turkey burger fan, so I had the Turkey Chipotle burger and it was excellent! This place doesn't have the same level of "charm" as some of the other places around downtown Austin, but they make a great burger, so if that's what you're in the mood for, it is worth a try. read more

I had heard great things about Eureka! I was looking for a low-key, burger place in Austin. My colleague and I were in town working the SXSW EDU conference and each day we got out of work around 5 PM. We were thinking of making a reservation, but since it was so early we were able to walk right in and be seated. It was happy hour, which was great because the happy hour menu is very similar to the regular menu but with amazing prices. Each day during the week they have specials, and since we went on a Tuesday, it was half-price wine. They had a pretty good wine selection so I got the most expensive Cabernet, which was $16 a glass so only eight dollars for my wine, which I considered to be a bargain. I also tried the cauliflower bites that were on the happy hour menu for an appetizer. I got the turkey chipotle "naked" because I didn't want the bun, however I did upgrade to sweet potato fries. I tried to add avocado as I saw that was an option, but I guess my sandwich came with avocado already, so that was unnecessary but I did like that it was an option. My colleague got a beer off of the happy hour menu and the corn dog lollipops and the Eureka! burger naked with cinnamon sugar flavored sweet potato fries. The place got very busy pretty quickly. I was happy to of gotten there when we did. Shaun was our server and she had mentioned that she teaches elementary or kindergarten during the day and comes here to serve at night! I thought that was awesome and I always respect a hustle! She was great and got everything to us in a timely way. There were families, coworkers, dates, and a whole big table reserved for someone 16th birthday there. Eureka! has many locations and is fun for all! The food is good, the service is good, then the environment is fun, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Visited during a Friday lunch with co-workers. It's a large space with plenty of seating. Food was solid; I don't think you can go wrong with getting a burger and fries here. The place can get a little loud since the walls and floor are all hard surfaces. But I don't think that's a reason to not visit this place. Staff was friendly, easy to understand, and quick with orders. All in all a nice restaurant to visit on 6th street. read more

Came here with a group of 6. I really like the decor, cleanliness really nice. I had the veggie beet burger with fries. It was all right a little bland but nothing out of the ordinary. All my friends had meat burgers. They did not complained at all, lets just say they were happy. I on the other hand, after leaving and making our way to the bridge to look at the bats, my stomach started feeling weird - just upsetting. Something did not feel right about 45mins or so I had to go to the RR and let's just say it all came out the same way it went in. Now I'm still baffled, how do you mess up a veggie burger!? Never in my 15 yrs of being a vegetarian have I vomited after eating a veggie burger... I've been here before and can vouch for their amazing happy hour. We went this past weekend for Sunday brunch before the Spring Pecan Street Fest (it's right at the beginning so you just hop right to the fest). The hubby and I are a low carb plan and what a perfect spot to pick! We had the Osso Buco Riblets - which were awesome and came with a delicious Firecracker Aioli, then the Jalapeño Egg Burger (naked = bunless), which they put on a bed of arugula and for our side had the broccolini. It was so nice to not to have to sub a million things and there were so many options on our plan. The staff was super friendly even though we had a couple of hiccups with some or our friends orders, everything was corrected. We will for sure come back! read more
