Been on my list for a hot minute and finally made it in. Popped in on a Saturday evening around 6:30 ish and sat at the bar. Plenty of seating and the side I sat on had four tvs with various sports on. I went with the bacon jam jalapeño burger and y'all it was delicious! The jam was more sweet than spicy and the flavors were amazing. Onions rings as the side which also were crispy and the right breading to onion ratio. Service was friendly and prompt...with the ambiance enhanced once the live signer started to perform. I'd love to go back and try other things as well as get another bacon jam jalapeño burger! read more

We parked a few blocks away and walked down to Sixth Street, which was a nice area to be in. From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Our server made sure to let us know happy hour was going on, which was nice. The drinks were a good start. I had a really nice margarita and my mom ordered the sweet tea, which she enjoyed. For food, I ordered the brussels sprouts off the happy hour menu and thought they were good. For entree's My mom got one of their burgers and I ordered the fish and chips. My mom really enjoyed her burger. As for me, the first piece of my fish was fine. When I went back to eat the rest I realized the fish was actually undercooked, which was pretty disappointing. What I will say is that the manager handled it really well. She came over, removed it from my bill, and brought me another round of margaritas. That kind of service recovery goes a long way and I appreciated it. Overall the ambiance was nice, the drinks were good, and most of the food hit the mark. The fish and chips were a miss but the way the staff handled it made up for it. I would give Eureka another shot. read more

It's been years since I've been to a Eureka (in Berkeley) but I decided to check out their happy hour after checking out the Ariana grande pop up. The fish and shrimp tacos ($4 each), brussel sprouts ($7), and truffle fries ($4) were all delicious and prepared quickly!! No notes! Portions for the brussel sprouts and truffle fries were great. Wow, it's been such a long time since I've been to Eureka. I was downtown a little early for an event. So I popped in to Eureka to kill some time. Just grabbed a cocktail real quick. The cocktail was called Wild Child. A little vodka, watermelon, and a spicy rim. Wicked good. The watermelon flavor was refreshing, and with that habanero spice rim really complimented the sweet. Overall: 3.4/5 We came back on two separate occasions (dine in and take out), and the food wasn't as good as the first time we dined here. Farmers' Market Cocktail ($15.50): Our waitress recommended this gingerbread cocktail, but it fell short of expectations. The gingerbread flavor was barely detectable, though they did serve it with an ice cube shaped like a gingerbread man. Wagyu Bone Marrow Burger ($23) + Beer Battered Onion Rings ($3): A medium rare beef patty with bone marrow shiitake butter, grilled onions, horseradish mustard aioli, and roasted tomatoes. Unfortunately, the patty was dry and lacked juiciness, and the bone marrow shiitake butter flavor didn't come through. The burger as a whole was surprisingly bland. I'm not even convinced the tomatoes and grilled onions made it in, as it tasted like a bare bones, basic burger. The onion rings were decent and crispy. Double Smash Burger ($20.75) + Sweet Potato Fries ($3): Garlic dijonnaise, red onions, dill pickles, and American Swiss cheese. This was an improvement over the Wagyu Bone Marrow Burger, with noticeably more flavor, though I wished it came with lettuce and tomatoes. The sweet potato fries would have benefited from being air fried, as they would taste better crisped. Lettuce Wrap ($18.25): You can choose between chicken or tofu, and we went with chicken. The gochujang based sauce gave it a great flavor that we really enjoyed. That said, some of the lettuce had blackened edges and one piece had a bug on it. They really need to wash and inspect the lettuce more thoroughly. Crispy Glazed Brussels Sprouts ($12): The orange chili glaze and chimichurri created an amazing flavor profile. However, the Brussels sprouts were anything but crispy despite being air fried, which is probably because they were extremely oily. Purple Haze ($6): An interesting and enjoyable drink. read more

My friends and I came here late on a Sunday night after watching the bats at Congress Bridge. It is not a far walk and it looked pretty popular compared to other restaurants we had passed while exploring the city. The hostess greeted us warmly and we were quickly seated. Our server was lots of fun and patient with us as we took our time determining drinks and meals. We started with their nachos appetizer to split, which was really good. The chips were evenly covered with toppings, and it was just enough to get us through until our meals. My friend and I split their special burger that day, which was a green goddess burger and swapped the regular patty for a veggie patty. It was great! The veggie patty reminded me a lot of falafel, which is one of my favorite foods, and it went really well with their green goddess dressing and other toppings. We also both got their sweet potato fries as a side. They come with a spicy aoli that went very well with them. The rest of the group got the same burger, the Bone Marrow, which was a mix of regular beef and waygu. Everyone said it was probably one of the best burgers they've ever had in their lives! The vibes of this place were great, the staff was great, and the food was the greatest part of all. When we come back to Austin, this place will for use be on our list to stop at again! read more

The dry rub wings with a side of buffalo & blue cheese dressing over ranch was perfection!. The truffle fries are great! The Ceasar salad is a great side. I really like the shrimp tacos. I kept it simple: Caesar salad, dry rub wings, fries, and a bold 12% stout. The kind of order that sounds casual but hits like comfort food perfection. The wings were crispy with just the right smoky-spice kick, the fries disappeared embarrassingly fast, and the stout was smooth, rich, and strong enough to make you slow down and savor it. And then dessert showed up and stole the whole show. Bourbon barrel cake with ice cream. Warm, buttery, slightly boozy, with that cold ice cream melting into every bite... one of those "okay this is dangerous" desserts you keep eating long after you're full. Easily the MVP of the night. Excellent food and service! My husband and I stopped in on a holiday, and we found a great bar with outstanding food. We tried the dorito crusted shishito peppers with Parmesan, which came with a delightful dipping sauce. Absolutely delicious; we ordered on a whim and could've gone for another order easily. We each had a burger; my husband had the BBQ bacon burger with truffle cheese fries. I had the fig burger with honey-cinnamon sweet potato fries. Both were just fantastic. The drink menu is ample and delicious. You are just about guaranteed to find something you like! Also worth calling out that bartender was super friendly and full of suggestions. Eureka! is nicely located in downtown ATX near many of the hotels. They are open late, which was the main draw for us to stop in. There is ample seating and great options for bigger groups. Service was quick and kind. I loved that all salads/bowls could be made into wraps!!! The mediterranean salad as a wrap was a HIT and the fries were nicely flavored. We got their Brussels sprouts (delicious) and the fries with truffle cheese. The cheese was so good that we ordered more to go with our burger fries. I love their fig burger, so I haven't branched out to order anything different yet. The goat cheese and sweetness of the fig pair perfectly with the arugula and bacon. Had an incredible experience here being served by Lorena. We split the Cobb salad and the fish tacos and upgraded to green beans on the side of the fish tacos and they were delicious. Lorena was very kind and took care of us promptly and made sure we were fully taken care of the ambience was clean and welcoming and comfortable. Although I could have done without the truffle fries and the extra $3 charge. It was drenched with truffle oil, which was overpowering. The burger meat was good, but it was nothing to rave about. We also ordered the macaroni and cheese balls, which were actually good and would recommend. The service was great. The hostess seated us right away without any wait since there were hardly any people in the restaurant. Our waiter was helpful and very friendly. The ambiance was nice except we sat by the front window by the hostess stand, and we witness two homeless men fighting. There is a large full bar in the center of the restaurant, which has a lot of cocktail selections. The nachos were nachos and had a respectable amount of heat from fresh jalapenos. I thought the fries were excellent - good texture and not greasy. Service was a little inconsistent. They were not busy and did not appear short staffed, but it was difficult to get the bar staff's attention for another drink or more food. I'm all for a vegetable-based patty, I adore beets, and the fact that it's made in-house is to be celebrated, but crispy, it is not. Austin did not disappoint when it came to food. One of our stops was Eureka. We sat at the bar and the service was great. I don't remember the margarita we had but it had cucumber in it. It was so refreshing. We ordered the nachos , wings and mac n cheese balls. The nachos were good and the salsa had a slight sweetness to it. A nice touch. Went for lunch with a few co-workers. The food is good, we ordered various burgers and a chicken sandwich. The service however was super slow! Like to the point we almost left as they took forever to take our order or come back for us to be able to pay. They were severely understaffed and the waitress did her best. Ok, so I've visited Austin in the past and I wanted to try something new. My granddaughter (13 yoa) selected Eureka! and I'm so glad that she did. We walked in and were greeted by a hostess who was warm, pleasant and engaging. We were seated right away so I took a spin around the bar. The bourbon (& whiskey) offerings were impressive. They had a large selection at fair prices. So we are 8, 13 & 60. You might imagine that all of us have different expectations in food, service and entertainment. It all started to come together for us when Katie S. stopped by and introduced herself as our server. This young lady is a master of her craft. She was enough of everything and not too much of anything. Katie was friendly & engaging and she is intimately familiar with both the food menu and the alcohol offerings. She made subtle suggestions with the children but when I told her I was torn between two selections, she made a recommendation that was decisive. She offered an explanation for her suggestion and it made sense to me so I went with it. Not being familiar with local IPAs I asked for a suggestion to pair with my entree which Katie had selected. She hesitated ZERO! I am telling you, this woman is a true professional. Both were excellent!! The food arrived and in total it included; kids Mac-n-Cheese, spicy fried chicken sandwich and the pastrami reuben with a side of Mac-n-cheese balls 2 beers and a slice of carrot cake. The food was, across the board, 9 out of 10 we were completely satisfied. You'd be wrong if you're thinking, that's basic food, how hard could it be? While these selections sound like standard fare, they were each elevated in their own way. That said, Katie S was the star of the show! She stopped by often, but didn't hover. She made recommendations decisively, with tons of confidence and self assurance. My youngest was enthralled with Katie and engaged her in conversation. Katie was reallllly good with her. She seemed enthusiastic and interested, but cut it off eloquently keeping the child's feelings intact. Eureka! is firing on all 8 cylinders! Give this place a try for the food, drinks, and service.
