I was referred to this place by a co-worker and I'm glad I went! The burgers are not too pricey. Prices are comparable to other chain restaurants. Why buy a burger at a chain restaurant when you can buy one here!? Truffle fries are delicious! Me and the boyfriend had them as an appetizer. The fries that come with the burgers are really good too! They're the thinner type of fries and still taste good even when they are reheated. Their mac and cheese is really creamy and cheesy. And their buns for their burgers are croissant-like, hard to explain...you just have to try it! -1 star for not serving burgers after 10! WHAAT!? Eureka! I have found it! Never have I known about the amazing atmosphere, service, and food regarding Eureka! until I went to this place several years ago with my boyfriend. After several visits to this place, I consider this to be my go-to dining burger joint for craft beer and food munchies whenever I am in the area. First and foremost, Eureka! has a lot of space available to sit in whether at the bar or at the table. The wait to get seated normally takes 30 minutes when it gets crowded, especially at night. However, they would let you know when your table is ready when they call or text your phone number, so that's a huge plus in terms of convenience and service. The beer selection is amazing with great craft beer such as the Allagash White. The tricerahops DIPA was my beer of choice. Since we went for in at around 5 PM, their everyday happy hour menu was applied. We were able to get a couple of $ off from the beer menu and ordered truffle cheese fries for $5, which tasted delicious when the gooey cheese melts on the crispy truffle fries. For burgers, I selected the special bone marrow burger with salad on the side. The burger was juicy and cooked to perfection while the salad was perfect with the right amount of flavor and portion. THE FOOD Everyone at my table ordered a burger, because, duh, this is a burger place! I had the Pearl Street Blues Burger, which is ground beef with grilled mushrooms and onions topped with blue cheese. I ordered it medium rare, and it was fabulous. The patty was so tender and juicy, and the blue cheese made a wonderful complement to the burger. I love how the tang cut through the sweetness of the caramelized onions. It's a huge burger, and I managed to finish all of it. That's how good it was. Also, the shoestring fries that came with it were delicious. For appetizers, the table ordered Truffle Fries and Crispy Dry Rib Chips. I love anything with truffle in the name, so I was all over the fries. Nobody else was into it since they all had fries of their own, which meant more for me! I balk at dropping $11+ for a hamburger but, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I had read much about the Fig Marmelade Burger that I had to try. From their menu: Homemade fig marmalade, melted goat cheese, crispy bacon, garnished with minced tomato, onion and arugula dolloped in a spicy porter mustard. I had the burger cooked medium well and it came out perfectly. Fries were good and complimented the burger nicely. There is usually a 20 min to hour long wait. You can sit at the bar and the counter adjacent to the bar and eat there. It's a little cramped but, you don't have to wait for a table. Quite a few beers on tap, but none of them are home brewed. Sounded like a good collection of beers ranging from $6 and up. Also noticed the number of rye whiskey bottles behind the bar for mixin up a good manhattan.... Good service on a Friday night and didn't feel rushed. Seems to be a well managed restaurant. There USED to be a no corkage fee IF you bought wine next door at the wine shop. Apparently it was too popular, brought too many patrons in , so they cancelled the policy. This place must be making mad $ and it surprises me that they did away with this. Since I've already tried Back Abbey down the street, my friend suggested Eureka Burger for my next visit to see her in Claremont. Considering how embarrassingly hung over I was that afternoon, I think a burger was the perfect choice. I got the LULU burger, which consists of a ground lamb & beef patty mixed with onions and cilantro, served with melted brie cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and sweet mint aioli sauce. I honestly expected a bit more out of the patty itself. In relation to the burger, it was fairly small and tasted just like plain beef, which made it really hard to decipher the lamb in the whole mix. Although I'm not a huge fan of brie cheese (actually hate it most of the time), it went well on here in melted form. The aioli sauce adds a nice sweet contrast to the entire burger. The burgers come with a huge side of fries. To make it more interesting, you can get truffle sauce for an additional $1.50, which is VERY worth it! The truffle sauce is amazing and I probably wouldn't have eaten all those fries without it. It's made out of melted gruyere cheese and truffle oil and is now in my mind the most perfect dipping substance for fries. Although the burger wasn't as impressive as I expected, what did please me is the service. Our waiter Brandon sat down with us at our table, which is the first time in my life I've had that happen. I feel like it makes the entire dining experience more personal and down to Earth. He explained everything thoroughly, was very upbeat, and constantly made sure our meal was satisfactory. Tonight's $70 dinner was extremely disappointing. Our dinners came out COLD. Not once, but twice. We waited a very long time for them to be remade hot. Only to get cold burgers. Cold sides. Again. When we asked for the manager to notify her, she just kept offering a free dessert, even after telling us MULTIPLE times that she was very aware there was an issue because we were far from the only ones having issues with their food, and she had already addressed her kitchen multiple times tonight. I've been waiting for this place to open since last fall. They're finally here. Last night was the grand soft opening and they did not disappoint. (Check out their website! They certainly make the burgers look like something you want all over your face, and unlike the smiley star fast food chain, there is no false advertising.) The decor was simple, modern, and earthy. Once summer comes around the patio area will be a popular place to sit. I had the Jalapeno Egg Burger cooked medium. It was really good, not great, but really good. It's just a tier below my favorite burgers (back abbey, bison bleu cheese, Slaters 50/50.) My only complaint was the burger was a bit overcooked. I may have to order medium rare on my next visit. The cooks could very well still be getting accustomed to their new kitchen, who knows. Hopefully they get it ironed out sooner rather than later. The beer selection is awesome. The bar features dozens of unique, local on-tap brews and my survey of the bottles in the bar yielded not a single corporate brand name--everything was unique and artisan and hand-crafted. The menu is great. Our lollipop corn dog appetizers were pedestrian but the mediocrity ended there. My amber brew was exceptional, the fig marmalade/goat cheese burger fan-effing-tastic and both my kids ordered the jalapeno bacon burger in a flour tortilla wrap--which was not a roll but a sort of pocket wrap--really well done! First time here although have heard good things for years. Quick lunch consisted of protein salad and Cobb salad for my business partner. I wasn't expecting much from quinoa and kale so it was satisfactory. Nothing special but thought everything was pricey. I'm sure their rent isn't cheap. I am mostly disappointed in having to sip my Arnold Palmer through a paper straw. What a bunch of typical liberal Claremont snowflakes. Give me a real plastic straw and screw California politics. BTW, the waiter asked if we wanted straws. Guess I should be happy we were not charged extra. read more

It's good but nothing special. Feels a bit overpriced/ it's priced as fancy(for burger) but isn't top notch.
