I wasn't impressed with the food I had the Napa chicken sandwich. The chicken was bland nothing notable. My side salad was a stand out though very fresh and well made and their lemon vinaigrette was delicious and refreshing. Although they don't give you enough dressing. I may give this spot a second chance to impress me but so far it's just ok. read more

Amazing burgers. Think they are still slightly understaffed. My friend got there 15-20 prior and got cocktail quick. When I got there took over 30 mins after ordering a drink to get to the table. Reservations highly recommended here, especially if it is a weekend. Great place to meet with friends, wether it is day or night. And the quaint square has so many other options for dessert, walking and browsing the small business shops. read more

Had burgers and cocktails. Old fashioned was done well and their house margarita was tasty. Appetizers were also good. The wings are worth a try. The cowboy burger was done quite nice. Medium rare was spot on. I loved the sweet potato fries too. The sweet maple syrup was also a nice touch. The service was friendly and courteous. Hard to find these days, so I genuinely appreciated that. The staff all seemed happy and terribly pleasant. Will be coming back again. Hats off to the manager who was extremely friendly. One of my favorite places to grab a burger and a drink. I usually suggest this place when I'm meeting up with friends. They have a nice patio area, and have food/drinks for everyone. It's also close enough to dessert places that you can walk to after you eat. I haven't had a burger I didn't like here. They're also kid friendly which is a bonus for us. read more

Eureka has some of theee best sweet potato fries I have ever me had. The sweet flavorful glaze the put on top is so good!! Last time I went I got the tacos and my friend got a burger and we both got beer flights. This is a great stop for a delicious and filling meal. Meh. I used to love this place. The riblets and a side of sweet potato fries were everything! But they changed their menu--NO MORE RIBLETS. I'm not a fan of their burgers I'd rather go to the Back Abbey for a good burger. So instead I ordered a steak salad. Now this was my fault for getting the garden salad and adding steak. I should have just gotten their listed steak salad because I ended up spending an extra for $14 for a bad steak on top of a bad salad. I must have have it incorrectly or perhaps the menu pricing was deceiving (yes I was trying to save a few bucks, just because It's a stupid salad.) Anyway I ended up paying $8 for a trash salad on top of $14 for a trash steak. If I wanted to pay for a $22 salad I'd be at Ruth's Chris. Needless to say I will never come back here unless RIBLETS are back on the menu. Until then this place is now worthless in my book. Sure I love their old fashioneds but I'm pregnant at the moment so I can't even enjoy that right now. *sigh* please bring back riblets and be clearer on your menu pricing. Thanks. read more

My son, his girlfriend, and I went to Eureka at Happy Hour. We were able to sit on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful weather with our food. The happy hour specials were good potion sizes, were fresh from the kitchen, and delicious. I had the chicken nachos and a charcoal lemonade. I was surprised on how great tasting the lemonade was despite its black color. I would go back in a New York minute. read more

EBETT was our server and just completely let us down. Messed up our order, our glass of water had food floaters, my order took forever to come out and it was wrong. Never asked us if we needed anything. I know it gets busy but to drop the ball this many times made us feel unwelcome. Claremont Location First, the quality of the food has kept me coming to this restaurant for over 10 years, the location is rustic and fun. It feels like you are in another city, staycation vibes!!!! The inside of the restaurant welcomes the outdoors indoors and it almost feels like I'm eating on a wooden deck in Tahoe! Second the service is above and beyond. I was there with my girlfriends again last week and had the best service from a waitress named Mikayla! I just saw her walk in so hopefully she's our server again! Fingers crossed. The food is tasty and the cocktails are delicious. Good ambience and friendly service. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the last time I was there, I jabbed the inside of my mouth with a piece of wood as I bit into my burger. It made the inside of my cheek bleed. The manager offered to get me a new burger but I was already almost done. What bothered me was that he was very nonchalant and said, "sometimes the wooden toothpick that keeps the burger together breaks off'". As if it wasn't a big deal. That same night as I brushed and flossed my teethe before bed, I found another piece of wood between my molars! All I could think was what if I would've swallowed it and damaged my throat? Beware of ordering anything that has a wooden toothpick holding it together. read more

I recommend Eureka unconditionally. We were seated in an outdoor dining area with gas heaters and lots of pretty lights. The food was excellent. The service was top notch. We each ordered dessert and enjoyed it very much. Reservations are recommended. A great experience all around! read more

Have they changed their menu drastically or something? I used to get cheddar instead of American cheese because I’m lactose intolerant and it’s literally the only cheese I can eat. If that’s the case, then I don’t see the point in coming anymore.

They just changed which burgers are available. I'm pretty sure cheese options are all still there for the regular burger.

My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We came on a weekend and it was super busy (as it should be honestly with how amazing the food and service are). We got the blackened salmon with penne pasta and baby potatoes, and the flat iron steak with bow tie pasta and herb brown rice. The steak was cooked perfectly medium. The bow tie pasta is served cold and has a vinegary flavor to it, definitely a distinct taste, but I personally loved it because I enjoy sour/vinegary flavors. I can see why it might not be everyone's favorite though, but I personally really enjoyed it. The salmon was also super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Same with the penne pasta and potatoes. Honestly everything was just made really well and good. For the sauce, we got their popular jalapeno garlic sauce and it paired well with absolutely everything. Needless to say, this place was really good from head to toe. I also got to meet the owner and he was super friendly too. I seriously wish they would open one closer to my area. Parking was really easy and the ambience was lively with sports playing all around the bar and plenty of seating.

The portions are generous, especially the sides, which are much larger than expected. I've only been there twice so far, but both visits were positive. The blackened chicken is really good, and the jalapeño garlic sauce is a standout--it adds a lot of flavor without overpowering the meal. Four stars because there's still more of the menu I'd like to try, but I've enjoyed everything I've had so far.

Need a place with delectable burgers, a plethora of alcohol, and fulfilling appetizers, then Eureka! is just for you. With multiple dishes and drinks, Eureka! just screams tasty. Having excellent service and mouth watering choices, this is one of the places where the customer is happy and the food is at the peak. Eureka is a unique place that specializes in burgers that are each tasty in their own way; coming also with a side of fries or salad. Each burger can be cooked from medium rare to well done, but instead of tomatoes and cheese it has something else. If you don't like the burgers, there's a Shredded chicken taco which has diced pineapples and tomatoes. There is a Balsamic steak salad with flat iron steak decorated on the side.For the side dishes there is a Bulgogi , bulgogi is pieces of beef and pieces of vegetables on the dish. If you order a corn dog,with unique shape like a lollipop, with an incredible dipping sauces, like ketchup, spicy mustard, and ranch that has a unique flavor making you want to savor the taste. Also if you order the fries separately, which is similar to the burger fries, then you can have a dressing that compliments the fries with a soft texture. While I was there, I ordered the Cowboy burger with a side of fries. The contents of the burger has soft onion rings, crispy bacon, with a creamy cheddar cheese, and a housemade beer barbecue sauce. The bun has a light soft texture making it easy to bite into. The patty can be cooked, as you like, in a variety of options as mentioned before. As you bite, the juices from the patty sink in and flow throughout your mouth. The service was excellent. They had a kind attitude. The people were always checking up to see if we liked the meal and gave us some suggestions on what to eat. The first time I went the only thing I was upset about, is that I couldn't finish . Eureka! I found a sub-par restaurant with unusually high prices! Look, I friggin love burgers, so much so that I don't mind paying quite a bit for something as simple as an all beef patty between a bun. But seriously though, this place is kind-of-not-so-great. To begin, we ordered the drinks since they boasted a amazing bourbon selection. To our suprise, the drinks were a little weak, and not that great. Then we ordered the truffle fries appetizer, and by then, a theme started to develop, and that theme of course was mediocrity. The fries were soggy, and the cheese sauce was pointless since this aint a dang fondue. Finally got the Pearl Street whatever burger (after waiting like 20 minutes, but I wont hate since it has only been open a few months), and once again..Meh. To little blue cheese and onions, so much so that I really couldnt taste it. The wife liked her soup, but thats weird, since the place is supposed to be a burger joint. Overall, this place is unremarkable in most every regard. They should really work on consistentcy and put more effort into making people feel that this place is not just an overpriced Red Robin, because even they gave me enough cheese on my burger. Note- Go to Holsteins at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas, I think they got this gentrified burger crap down pat. At the end of the food court, across from downtown Claremont seat Eureka Burger. The interior of the restaurant is surrounded by oversize windows making dining environment light and airy. They have a full bar and happy hour seemed very popular. You can ask for outdoor seating in their spacious seating area with a gorgeous view of the mountains. On their Starter menu, I ordered the Eureka Truffle Fries. This order was a supersize order of fries infused with truffle oil and had melted havarti cheese and green onion on them. Delish for sure. Their dinner menu offered a wide variety of dishes from sliders, Angus steak to gourmet hamburgers. I order a Fig Marmalade Burger and my guest order the Cowboy Burger. They looked so incredible we cut our burgers in half and shared them so we could taste both dishes. The buns were soft,light and airy, grilled to add to the flavor of the experience. The goat cheese that was on the fig marmalade burger gave a sweet unique taste and the crispy bacon and shoestring onion on the Cowboy burger was off the chain. Loved it. Oh, the sweet potato fries and Panko crusted onion we so good, I can wait for a return visit. read more

This is an update to my previously glowing review... OMG my experience today at Eureka was so sad! No more California chicken sandwich! Instead they replaced it with some chicken sandwich with a grilled tomato on top and a "juicy sauce" as the waitress said. No thank you! I don't want your mediocre sandwich with sauce to replace quality ingredients. Though I was told I could add avocado to it...for $1.50! So disappointing. The CA one had avocado on it and was the same price as the new sandwich. Anyways...the wait staff was nice as always. I ended up ordering chicken tacos. There was like 3 tiny shreds of chicken...some of which were literally as hard as plastic...they were not edible and I had originally thought I got bones in there. The tacos had a heap of cabbage and the tiniest slice of avocado. I will admit...the sauce was good. My fries had waaay to much onion powder on then or something, and they tasted super artificial...stale too. It makes me sad when good restaurants reduce quality while raising prices. I noticed today that other menu items went up in price too. SHAME. I guess they thought they were too popular and want less costumers. read more

I am thoroughly disappointed in what the menu changes. I use to come in at least 3-5 times a month. They have an awesome beer selection, which is a huge plus. But call me a creature of habit or whatever you will. When I use to come here, I loved to get the reaper wings, onion rings, and the bone marrow burger. Well they got rid of the reaper wings, and the onion rings. I can understand maybe not selling too many of the reaper wings because of the heat so you get rid of those. But getting rid of onion rings?!? Then there is the bone marrow burger, which use to be a masterpiece. My favorite gourmet burger! Well , they changed the sauce to a horse radish sauce and gave it a new sesame seed bun, and it just tastes awful now. Service is always great, beer is always good and fresh. But, I understand restaurants make changes when business is slow, but I have never been to eureka without it being a full house on any day of the week. So why the sudden changes? Bad changes at that. I know I am just one person and don't expect this review to change anything. But I will no longer be giving Eureka my steady business. Time to find a new gastro pub. read more

I recently visited Eureka Burger and tried their Salmon Kale Salad and Cowboy Burger. Both dishes were outstanding! The Salmon Kale Salad was fresh and flavorful, with tender grilled salmon on a bed of crisp kale and mixed greens. The combination of flavors and textures was perfect, and the dressing added just the right amount of tanginess. It was a healthy and satisfying option that I would definitely order again. When I first moved to Claremont the only place to eat was really The Press. While The Press is still a great place to hang out and The Back Abby is another option, Eureka has really taken over. I have never been there and not had to wait, it is always a wait BUT their cowboy burgers are great. They have a great selection of beers of all types and it is fun to try them by ordering a sampler. Their patio is good for dinners but not during the day because it is too hot. The staff has really improved from when they first opened. I am picky about what beer I drink and they seem to have the right suggestion. The last few times I have visited I have been talked into ordering whiskey. A few nights ago the bartender (Billy?) actually visited our table with the bottle and gave us a lesson on whiskey. It makes my check go up but hey, its the experience right? Without Eureka, Claremont would not be the same. Tip: Ask get there before 5pm or you will be competing with me for a seat. read more

This place is great! The food is top notch (the only thing I wouldn't recommend is the veggie burger--It gets an "A" for creativity but I think it's made with beets or something and it's kind of weird eating a hot pink/purple burger with a taste you just can't identify ;-)) and extremely flavorful from the salads to the yummy appetizers to the highly inventive burgers. My top three picks are the " Mac N' Cheese Skillet," the "Your Mama's '80s Style Taco Salad," and the "Tortilla Burger." Honestly though, pretty much everything is scrumptious! :-) I love sitting on the outside patio because it's really relaxing and there's always a nice breeze even when it's super hot out. I prefer the outside seating to the inside seating anyway because the tables are quite close together on the inside and it can get quite loud and hard to have a conversation. After loving the Redlands location, I had to check the Claremont spot. It is amazing. HUGE outdoor dog friendly patio, great warm/hip indoor area, overall great vibe. The cocktails are handcrafted, and well thought out...you can definitely tell someone put their heart and soul into the cocktail list. All of the beers are craft, and amazing. Pretty big draft selection, which is always nice. This place is so far from a generic chain, and that is what I love. I ordered a lettuce wrapped pearl street blues burger with a turkey patty. It was ON POINT. One of the best turkey burgers I have had. The fries were delicious as well. The manager was there, walking around making sure everything was running smoothly. It is always nice to see management REALLY caring about what is going on, not just there to put out fires. I will be back to this place and I recommend it to all! read more

What a fabulous place....... great food and wonderful service!!!! We had family visiting and decided to take them to Eureka Burger because my wife & I always love the burgers, fries and beer! The 4 of us ordered 4 different burgers and beers and shared the truffle fries, and everyone of us was completely happy with our order. The reason that I'm giving 5 stars is not just the food but the service we received was 5 star AMAZING!!!! Our server was SYDNEY! Now lots of restaurants can make good food but not all restaurants have great servers and when I'm paying for a meal I'm paying for great service as well and boy did we get it! From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, Sydney made us feel like we were the only patrons in the building!!!! We highly recommend Eureka Burger, thanks to Sydney!!! Service was very friendly and attentive. They have limited drink specials. Most draft and bottled beer is $1 off. Even without the special, their beers are very reasonably priced. Ordered the Jalapeño and bone marrow burger. Delish! Not sure what all the waitresses wearing tight spandex leggings is all about though... some girls were see through and you could see their thongs! Kind of a turn off for me (who has a bf). It was a bit awkward. Standard dress attire for all restaurants should be black pants. Dickies. Not hard to enforce in a ritzy town like this. Black leggings just don't cut it....unless, thats a selling point for the college guys here or a tip maker. Idk, but something should be done about that. Was just.... out of place here. 9/10; I absolutely love their burgers here. I think I got the Western BBQ Burger? It had an onion rings on it I'm pretty sure... I had gone here previously for our friend Christian's birthday and it was just as great then so the entire menu is most likely a delectable escape into the world of your taste buds' wildest dreams. Word of advice though would be try and make reservations ahead of time because it seems to get very busy on weekends. Camille and I lucked out and got counter seats near the bar, but if we wanted a table it would have been a 45ish minute wait. Fun fact: this was the first spot in the "first date" that Camille ever took me on. My friends and i came here for lunch on 3/28/13 at 1:35. We have never been here before and were excited until our server was rude. My friend simply asked after he ordered, if he could have his burger cut in half. The server looked at him like he was stupid and said we have knives here, implying we wont do that for you, you can cut your own burger. The female sever could have simply said you know let me check with the cooks and see if we could do that for you. Instead she was rude and said we have knives you can cut it yourself. So there was 5 of us sitting in the booth in the very back of the Eureka just shocked how rude she was. Since we already ordered we will eat the food but will never come back.
