Eureka was a random choice, but we decided to eat here because it was happy hour, and it didn't look too crowded on Friday, 5:30pmish. I was a bit skeptical when our waiter brought my beer and spilled some onto my sweater that was hanging over the empty chair next to me... He gave an awkward nod, walked away, and never came back. I was expecting a napkin or even an apology - but neither were given. The food came out shortly after: nacho average nachos, fish tacos (2), taco salad (too much beef and it is probably healthier to just get a burger!), and jalapeno burger. Everything was delicious, and portions generous. Fish tacos had a lot of mango salsa. Nachos were huge - guacamole was good! The hot sauce that came with the burger was really good too, it went well with the nachos. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and will probably come back again for happy hour. But I'll make sure I clear the way for my beer! read more

Previously, I had good experiences but this time I had to send back my French fries for being cold. After I completed the rest of my meal and several minutes passed my new fries were delivered. Happy hour they said good american food they said...WELL THEY IS WRONG After being overwhelmed by the Saturday dinner crowds at the beloved DTF decided to go across the street to Eureka for HH. Ordered the riblets, fish tacos, nacho average nachos, & mussels. My taste buds have never been so disappointed and confused in my life. The mussels must have just been dumped cuz they came out cold and salty af. The riblets though flavorful were so dry i wanted to rub some aveeno on that. The fish tacos were flavorless and dry as well. Nacho average nachos were actually pretty average despite its name though it was probably my "favorite" amongst the sheer disappointments. Love this place! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was phenomenal. Our server, Karissa, was able to answer every question we had about the menu, and she made perfect recommendations. On top of all of that she had the brightest smile on her face the entire time! She really added that extra bit of fun that you want when trying a new restaurant for the first time. I've come to eureka a handful of times but this was the first time that I've visited after they've reopened from covid. I like their system of taking orders via your phone to limit contact between servers and guests. The system of using your phone was pretty novel and I enjoyed being able to look through the entire menu through my phone. The one thing that bothered me was the lack of vegan options. The only vegan option is the beet burger and I've never seen the menu changed to include more vegan options. Also the beet burger seems to change every time I order it; and this past time the burger was really bland. I wish there were more vegan options and that their beet burger could be revamped to be more flavorful. read more

Food is spectacular for what appears to be just another trendy bar. BBQ bacon burger was exquisite and properly portioned for a reasonable appetite. Fries were above par and the steak salad was also a home run. Reasonably priced besides the kids meals that seem outrageously priced: $7 for 3 slices of a chicken breast and 8 cubes of watermelon. I got IDed by the waitress, I assume because it's so close to campus they are sticklers with this. Friendly staff, great food and wide selection of brews and beverages. Such a great find at U-Village! Heading to a breakfast spot before a Husky game and found Eureka. $5 bloody Mary's and mimosas, and really good food. The potatoes were the best part, crispy and perfectly seasoned. And the truffle fries were some of the best I've ever had! My daughter had the bison burger and it was perfectly cooked and so good. We were really happy with our food here after a long shopping day. If you come here, you mush try the grilled scesar salad, it is the best scesar salad we have ever tried. The salad is topped with fried pancheta and tomatoes. Also, the restaurant has interesting decor. We will definitely come here again. read more

Off to a rocky start: the chicken tacos were mostly cabbage, little meat. When asked I told the bartender they were disappointing and what would she request instead. Got the bison burger, which was amazing, definitely recommended. And she even took the tacos off, even though that was never my intention. Great way to make up for it. read more

Went here because another restaurant that we wanted to go to was way too busy, and we were starving! Pros: seated quickly, server and the girl she was training were nice, the hot wings appetizer was very good...sadly it pretty much ends there Cons: the onion rings I got as a side had no flavor, so I didn't eat them, the burger I got was the jalapeño burger with a fried egg and for something with jalapeño in the title, it too was very bland. As a side note, when I went into the ladies room, a gal server came out of the stall and decided to skip the sink....luckily she was not our server. Finally, when we were ready to go it took quite some time for us to get someone to grab us the check--the place was busy but very well staffed. Bottom line: good if you're starving and everywhere else is busy; but for this restaurant, a little salt would go a long way. read more

I have been to Eureka on multiple occasions at the Seattle location, and once at the Santa Barbara location. The Santa Barbara location has better quality food- specifically burgers- by far. That said, the overall brand of Eureka is one that is mired in a lack of consistency, timeliness, and overall customer engagement. When my friends and I go to Eureka, we expect to get water around 15 minutes after we sit down. Be cautious if you do not order when the water arrives; the wait to get any appetizer or entrèe will make you regret a quick run to the Royal Arches nearby. However, the worst part of the experience(s) was the fact that my previous parties and I have had to consisently ask for our burgers to be brought back out due to the burgers either being severely undercooked or burnt to a crisp. Anticipating the usual 25-minute wait for the main part of the meal and pondering upon the bailout of another burger if things go awry is not what you would expect, especially in the University Village area. The waiters and waitresses are usually very cordial and accomodating, but when you see multiple open tables and no service coming around with food for eons, then you know something is structurally wrong. Hopefully Eureka gets it together; until then, I will not be dining there. read more

We are vegetarians so Eureka being a burger place might not give you an idea that they do serve vegetarian options.The food was good and was healthy( something you would not expect, when you are eating at a rustic restaurant). Great ambience, music always fits the mood and at the perfect volume. Management works in tune with staff. Love coming here for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommend the jalapeno egg burger paired with the bodhizafa ipa from georgetown. Huge whiskey selection craft whiskey selection. My roommate and I went to an event here where they taught us how to make their famed holiday beverage: The Gingerbread Old Fashioned. The employee that taught the small course was engaging and friendly. The drink was also surprisingly easy to make! Even though the group was small, the manager was more than happy to spend time with us and provided us with many of their delicious appetizers! We dined on the extended patio and used the online system on our phone to order to our table. There were a couple of glitches in trying too order but the General Manager came over and helped us navigate the new way or ordering during this time of Covid. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy and satisfied. We had my older mother-in-law who did not understand the new way of doing things and the General Manager was patient and so helpful. This place is a good places to hang out w friends or even out for a date. We came by at 9pm, ordered their happy hour food with mahi mahi taco and chill wings. The food itself was good, tasty and service was nice. I was actually kind of impressed cuz I didn't expect much when came in here. I Come here often and love it every time! I usually get the Moscow mule, which is my favorite! I love the ice in it. I always try to get something different to eat to try new things. The most recent time I went I was having a difficult time deciding, but Kelly was very helpful in giving me recommendations, I got the friend chicken sliders which were very good and filling. I have to say that my main complaint about this place was the atmosphere. They were blasting dance-y music so loudly that I had to yell over it to talk to my boyfriend across the table. It was noon on a Sunday. It's just too much. There are old ladies and families with little kids all over the place and they are bumping some crazy top 40 at full blast like we in da club. The servers seem to all rock the dramatic smokey eye look which adds to the "where the hell am I?" effect. The bathrooms were disgusting, toilet paper all over the floor, and so many people in line to use the ladies room that every time someone opened the door to get in somebody got smacked with it. I am seeing a theme here. The food was okay. I got the kale salad and it was basically just kale tossed in olive oil and lemon juice but was still tasty enough. My boyfriend thought his burger was pretty good and I enjoyed a few of the fries I snagged from his plate. Service was fast and friendly enough. I'm just not impressed. read more

We checked out Eureka! this weekend. Very good burgers! We had the truffle fries, and the jalapeño egg burger with sweet potato fries. The truffle fries serving was a lot larger than we expected but they were delicious! The burger was very good too. The sweet potato fries have honey and cinnamon sprinkled on them. A definite must try but I'm not sure if I would have them again. I also had their sour cocktail which was also delicious. I think this is a great burger joint overall and we will definitely be returning. read more

At least it was open late- Eureka! had a lovely atmosphere and very friendly waitstaff, if not ones who were a little green and unprepared. There wasn't anyone at the front desk so we weren't sure if it was open to begin with, but were seated almost immediately. Luckily for us, we weren't too hungry and only ordered three things- truffle fries off the happy hour menu, panko crusted onion rings, and the kale salad. Even so, the portions were undesirable. The fries were probably bigger than the salad, and there were only four onion rings. Not to say I was complaining about the lack of rings. The fries were over seasoned with all of the flavor in the middle and much too intense. Unless bathed in katsup they were too overpowering to eat more than a few. The waiter took them off the bill for us because we couldn't eat them. The onion rings were very mediocre. The onion itself was delicious and flavorful, but the panko breading was flavorless, greasy, and left a weird gritty texture that made the best option to peel it off and just eat the onion. Which is exactly what we did. The kale salad was the highlight of the meal. The kale was fresh and flavorful and crunch, and it was dressed in a light and tangy vinaigrette. Throughout it were probably too many crasins and walnuts, along with some raw fennel and cheese. I didn't know it was possible to make fennel and cranberries flavorless, but thank god the vinaigrette picked up their slack. The cheese was mild and something more pungent, even a little bleu, would have complimented the salad a lot better. All together the meal (onion rings, salad, coke) was $18. Overall it was a very mediocre meal coming from someone who doesn't look for ambience and amiability first. Though there was a good environment, I won't be dining there again. read more

Their beer and drink selections seem good, but very overpriced. Their selections aren't that unique or unlike popular beers from popular breweries that you could find elsewhere for a better price (especially on the local breweries) The service left a bit to be desired. Our group ordered several happy hour items/ appetizers. One of which was the mac and cheese. They brought the food with no silverware or napkins for anyone. Since the rest of us had ordered nachos and tacos, I suppose they maybe forgot that one of us would need a fork, but they should've at the very least brought napkins for everyone. After borrowing a few chips from the nachos to use as a mac and cheese scoop while hoping our waitress was going to get us silverware, we gave up and had to go ask the hostess for some. I only ate some of the fish tacos and the nachos, so I can only review my thoughts on those. The fish tacos: I liked the things that accompanied the fish (avocado aioli and the mango salsa) on the tacos, but the fish itself was awful. It was dry and chewy (clearly overcooked) and tasted extremely fishy (therefore not the freshest) The fishy taste overpowered the other flavors and lingered even after washing it down with some overpriced beer. The nachos: They weren't kidding when they said "Nacho Average." There was not a lot of cheese to be found on them. The main topping was some sort of sauce that tasted a lot like the sweet and sour sauce you see on the so-called Chinese food at Safeway.
