    Green goddess burger
    Bridget K.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was a great place for lunch! I sat on the patio with my dog. It's protected but not fully zipped up, so I did see a bee while I was dining. The table I was seated at had enough room and was comfortable. To drink, I had one of their rotational 16 oz beers on top. It was a refreshing ale. I would recommend getting a beer here, since it's one of the things they are known for. To eat, I had the special green goddess burger. The avocado was creamy and the sauce was flavorful. The beef patty was cooked to perfection and was well seasoned. The fries were fried well and tasted good too. Finally, I had the peanut butter pie. It took awhile to come out, but the waiter made sure to take good care of me during my visit. I asked for his recommendation, and I'm so glad I did! It's rich and tastes almost just like a Reese's peanut butter cup but with great texture from the candied nuts. It was beautifully presented too. Try Eureka in UVillage if you're looking for great beer, burgers, and atmosphere!

I wanted to like this place! I had passed by tons of times. Unfortunately this spot fell flat for our visit. Service: 2/5 Food:2/5 Location:4/5 They seated my party outside which was fine- but in the corner of the patio where our seats could barely pull out. Which isn't great- but to add... someone in my party was bigger, has mobility issues and uses a cane. This seemed obvious, and felt like the host should have acknowledged this upon considering what table he would take us too. We scooted the table to help, but ultimately were uncomfortable. Upon taking orders, the waiter was pretty kind, and prompt, He however talked up the food- only to have our order arrive cold, with not fresh fries, and my burger overdone. Flavors were mild for the price to plate ratio. This was all the more emphasized as we were trying this place out to celebrate someone in our party. I am not eager to come back for such a mid experience. The spot appears like it's often mildly busy- so perhaps this was an "off staff or off day" but I won't be rushing back any time soon on my own.

Had the ahi stack for lunch. Loved it!! The flavors were great. Unfortunately the wonton crisps that came with it were very greasy. Hope next time they'll be better!

    Lettuce Wraps, Nachos

Stopped here for some drinks and appetizers and it was good! We chose to sit outside and it was cute and clean. The Dragonfruit mojito was yummy, size was a bit small but still good. I really liked the lettuce wraps, the sauce was spicy and sweet, and the cashews added a nice bit of crunch. We also got the nachos, which we added guac and avocado to, and it was delicious! The refried beans and chilies were a good twist. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Would love to come back to try some other things!

Happy Hour Eureka burger with fries

They have a pretty good happy hour here. I got the Eureka burger and fries for $13 and a bail breaker IPA FOR &6 that I thought was a pretty good deal. The staff all seemed very nice and welcoming. It wasn't very crowded on a cold and wet Thursday when I stopped in. Seems like this would be a good place to watch a game or meet up with friends. If you sign up for notifications on their app, they give $15 off on your next visit (within 2 weeks I believe).

First time here since like 2018. Last time none of my classmates were particularly impressed with the food (and prices haha). Welllll, tbh it all seems pretty similar! Lol. Got take out this time and oddly enough, the food I got this time tasted a lot better than last time when we dined in. The seared salmon was seasoned and cooked well. The Mac and cheese balls were alright, not the best arancini/mac and cheese balls out there. The ahi Caesar salad was a nice touch and I was just surprised that they included that as an option for a side (wasn't charged extra for the ahi). Overall, would I come back? Eh maybe in another 7-8 years lol. IMO it's ok and maybe a fun place to grab a drink/HH w friends.

I ordered the Barbecue Bacon Burger with fries on the side, as well as a Shirley temple. The Shirley temple was honestly okay, not super flavorful. The burger however, was very good. I enjoyed the flavor and addition of the crispy onions. My only critique would be to add more of the barbecue sauce, there wasn't enough for how thick of a burger it is. The fries were also good. I did also try the starter of Brussel sprouts, although I do not think I would get them again. I think there were too many additions to it. Servers were kind, and mostly quick to help. I would say the ambiance was perfect for a restaurant such as this. Overall, I had a good experience and would go back.

Ended up here because I had some inKind credits. It wasn't bad at all, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way to return to, mainly because I don't live in the area. Everything was satisfying but nothing really stood out or stuck with me. The burger was decent, and the staff was cool, very much the same college kid vibe across the board, which honestly worked for the aesthetic. With Shake Shack so close, it's hard to see myself choosing this spot again, but overall it did the job.

So tragic to report that they removed the steak salad from their menu and have reduced portion sizes significantly. I've been getting the steak salad for years and, although they still have all the ingredients available to make the steak salad, they will not just make it for you - you must start with an entirely separate salad and create the steak salad from scratch which jacks up the bill. It was truly more complicated than it needed to be. The sweet potato fries were dropped in quantity, served in an upright cup that resulted in saggy yucky fries with honey drizzling down the fries. Once our salads were served, we realized they were smaller than before, missing all dressing, and the "cucumber" on our salads were merely pre chewed bits here and there totaling one to two actual slices of cucumber. The toppings were sub par, which didn't help the already suffering salads. It was such a disappointing visit to Eureka, but our waiter was lovely despite the terrible menu changes and serving sizes. Thanks, Emmanuel, for being the best part of our meal!

My first time here and we had a great experience with our server Emmanuel. He was so kind and offered us the most delicious seasonal drink. Would definitely come back just to be served by him!

    Gingerbread old fashioned

Advertisement for the gingerbread old fashioned lured us in! Assuming it's a seasonal drink. Very packed after a Huskies game but we were seated in their heated patio fairly quick. Had one main waiter but had multiple staff check on us which was great. I like to taste different things when I eat out and we ordered apps and shared their burger. They even offered to cut in half for us before it came out. Burger was cooked perfectly and the soft buttery buns helped it all melt in your mouth! Wings won the gold! Came out crispy and didn't even ask for it double cooked as I usually do. Service. Food. Atmosphere. All excellent but as busy as they were!

I've ate here a few times with different friends over the past few years. What I like about Eureka! is they tend to close their doors later than other restaurants in the area making it a good place to grab a late meal. Service is typically friendly, and a decent-sized menu. We usually get shared plates here like the nachos. There's a lot stacked onto the chips like grilled chicken, beans, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cheese, sauce, etc. They're pretty good but on the smaller side compared to other places that have nachos to share. The wings here are just okay, if you're craving them then go ahead but I would probably spend my money on other items. I'll have to come back for a burger sometime, but this place has a nice atmosphere to sit back and relax after a long day. Maybe will grab some cocktails here for the next visit.

Nice that they have regular test, low test and no test drinks depending on how much alcohol you want. Food was very tasty, we had the lobster pasta and the fajitas. The tortillas were very flimsy so messy but still nice flavor and good amount of food.. started with the hummus which is what I was told to try there and yes a creative hummus plate... which brings me to the only hiccup... The chef gets creative at times and apparently edamame is in season so randomly added to the hummus even though not on the menu. Found out half way through then had to verify what beans they were and couldn't eat rest of dish. Server was awesome about it and wasn't a problem but if you have any allergies be aware the menu MAY not be exact so make sure you ask if there are any "enhancements" if you have any known issues. The next time I was here, I made sure to get here incredibly early to get the lamb neck korma pie…read more I made a reservation at 5:30 to guarantee it. Based on availability, I probably could've walked in around an hour later and been fine, but didn't want to risk it since they only make like 30 in a day. To my great surprise, the dish came out just a couple minutes after ordering. It seems like the pie is already pre-made and they just pour korma over the top before serving. The server assured me that one would be for one person, so we each got one. From the moment it's presented, this looks like nothing you've seen before. The colors of the beige korma washing over the sturdy brown pastry is just a visually striking image. What's even crazier is there's so much that's obscured by this initial plating - things that you find out as you dig into the dish. After the first layer of pastry, the dish descends into a massive layer of lamb neck meat. And when I say massive, I mean the meat is so densely packed together into this pie you're left wondering how they fit so much into what's not a big shell diameter-wise. So, how is everything? It's amazingly good, at least for the first 3/4ths of the meal. I have to start with the pie crust, or the pastry shell, which is just perfect. The way it retains its shape, refusing to break down until real pressure is applied, is ridiculous. The texture is incredibly sturdy, and the taste is phenomenal. No matter what was placed inside this crust I would still enjoy it. It's crunchy, buttery, the inside wall is flaky, and the absolute highlight here. The korma is also very good. While certainly a westernized version of the sauce, lacking any spiciness and turning way more on the sweet side, it's still got enough flavor to be a great complement to the main pie. I do think a more acidic and spicy would've help offset the fattiness of the center item, but this sauce was still delicious on its own. Lastly, the lamb neck was great. Super fatty, of course, but braised to perfection, resulting in meat that's tender and melt in your mouth. Like I mentioned, there's an insane portion of meat here. Of course, this is all great until about 2/3 to 3/4th through the pie, where you begin to really feel the effects of an insane overload of fat. I can eat a lot of food, but this really started to wear on me. Here's where I have some slight issues - I think a) the inability to counteract the fat present and b) the amount of lamb neck needs to be toned down a bit, as ironic as asking for less meat might sound. One might have the attitude that if they're paying so much, might as well give them the most meat possible - but in my opinion, the best dishes are truly about balance. And when you can't expect someone to eat a dish and feel good about it afterwards, that's not the hallmark of a great dish. This could've been avoided if the server had mentioned that one pie could be split between two people, but that's not what she recommended. This resulted both me and my companion not finishing the meal, which I absolutely hate to do, but I was left with no choice in this case. The other part is the price. Each pie cost $50 each, which is a significant amount. Additionally, there was a 22% automatic tip even for a party of two, which is just way too high. The server didn't even tell us about this automatic tip which resulted in unintentionally tipping more on the tip pad. I would not hesitate to refer to this restaurant as overpriced. Overall, it's a truly inventive dish that's one of my favorite things I've eaten in Seattle, but the price and portion complicate things slightly. 9/10

There is no online sample menu for LB's breakfast that I was able to track down, so from memory they are currently offering: the English Breakfast (standard size), the Full English (which is 2x the English - pics included in post for comparison), steak and eggs, a biscuit breakfast sandwich, the Scotch egg (same as the one on the dinner menu), and an assortment of smaller plates (Bubble & Squeak, English muffin with rhubarb jam, porridge with fixings, etc.). They are also serving Bloodies and a variety of N/A beverages. Overall, we liked the English options - the standard size is plenty of food for the average appetite. I did not care for how strong the warming spices were in the black sausage; the spices were the predominant flavor - I like to taste the minerally undertones of the other ingredients. That's just a personal preference though! Bubble & Squeak was very tasty - a fun vegetarian option, or a good side for the table to share.

It was so insanely flaky and crunchy - just the absolute perfect level of each. It had such a satisfying dark brown color rather than the light brown you see on other fried chicken. You could tell this was truly fried in as much oil as possible - which you could also tell by how the breading was even slightly damp with oil and the bottom of the carton was still somewhat wet from the oil each bite of the breading was just absolute perfection the inside of the chicken was also astoundingly good - which i wasn't expecting. the first time I took a bite of the chicken meat itself - i was shocked by how well it tasted. This wasn't your boring old bland chicken you'd find somewhere else - it had fat to it - and even if the breading didn't exist I would still really enjoy eating the chicken the only thing i wish for is the breading had some spice to it - there pretty much wasn't any of that my next absolute favorite part was the buttermilk biscuits that i got as a side. These were baked so perfectly - with a tough exterior but a soft interior. The butter dipping sauce added to this was the best part of the entire meal - it was so addicting it was impossible to resist what drags this down slightly, though, is the greek fries. I didn't think these were good at all - while they were seasoned well with pepper throughout - the cheese was a) not well distributed and b) pretty infrequent. Also, the fries themselves were pretty hard to the touch but not crispy and didn't have any softness inside. The white sauce didn't taste very good either I will say the buffalo sauce that I added as a side was quite good What puts this meal over the top is the massive portion size. It did cost a good amount (24 dollars) - but 3 of that was the greek fries which I'll skip next time in favor of a side that doesn't cost extra. The pieces of fried chicken were MASSIVE - there was so much food contained in that basket. I wasn't even able to finish this entire meal. Given that you get this much fried chicken + two sides for a decent price, the value here is pretty damn good
