Hubby and I used to patronize The Wedgwood Alehouse for the last 35 years. We were truly sad when they closed. We waited with anticipation to see what the new restaurant/bar would be like. We were pleasantly surprised. We came in on Thursday evening just after 5pm. Only a few other customers inside at that time. It's seat yourself with menus already on the table. We were promptly greeted and offered beverages. We ordered our favorite IPA Bodhizafa. It came ice cold. The menu seems to be lacking very many entrees. It's very appetizer heavy. So we ordered Buffalo Wings and Fish & Chips to split. The prices are also a little on the high side but I guess that's standard everywhere nowadays, especially in Seattle. But for the price the quality of food and portion size were on point. Even splitting we had leftovers. It is a very "upscale sports bar" feel inside. Murals of the Sonics, Mariners & Seahawks emblems adorn the walls. 4 big screen TV's spread throughout the interior. The bathrooms got a much needed major renovation during the remodel process. Now they're sharp & clean & modern looking. If I had a complaint other than needing more entrees on the menu it would be the hard wood chairs are uncomfortable to sit on. Also no salt & pepper on the table. Instead a container of red pepper flakes. I'd switch those. Look forward to going back to try breakfast on a weekend.

Soulless. This feels like AI designed it. Other than that, the food is fine. Service is fine. Fox News on the TVs.

Ask the Community - Wedgwood Public House

Is it just me or do their prices seem exceptionally high ($15 quesadillas, for example)?

I haven’t had them. Maybe they’re worth it.

Really good bar food- we had the coconut shrimp, the burger, the pulled pork, and the fish and chips.

We live 3 blocks away. So you'd think, that for Sure the Noise wouldn't be a problem. Right? But When ever they have a "Concert" (mind you this is a small brewery with a parking lot which have bands play on weekends. These bands play outside, so that not only their patrons inside the bar can hear, but that their Parking Lot (filled with patrons) can hear the music as well. And this goes on for 5hrs. We live on 33rd, and every time they have a concert, they not only play for the Bar, but they play to the entire community!!! I Love Music!! But I can't love This Music! Most of the bands are bad, but the ones that are good are still ruined by how loud they choose to play the music! It's one thing to listen to good music, but it's a totally different animal to have a Car sitting outside your house blasting Ghetto Punk Rock. (Wouldn't even matter if the music was good! If we didn't pay for it, why should we be forced to listen to it in our own house!!) We shouldn't have to struggle trying to listen to and watch our tv without subtitles, and not being able to do so because the Bar 3 blocks away has decided to hold a Concert for their small venue like a stadium!! T hat is a little bit A lot Too Much!!! Soo, Dear Hellbent From the Lake City Community: We hope you get over yourselves soon, because your "Joy" is disrupting the entire Lake City Community!! Same as those Preachers dressed in purple shouting over a megaphone and speakers on the corner of Lake City and 130th who had the entire neighborhood calling 911, because it was soo intrusive. And what's funny is that You Guys called 911 about them too. (You told us) When you live 3 blocks away from a bar and it sounds like you're in the front row, there's something wrong there. Why should an entire community pay for your lack of effort in your Sound Department? Seems to me that it's You guys who should curb your sound rather than expecting the entire community to curb our routines in our own homes....just saying. I know, I sound like a Karen. And Maybe I am, but in this instance, we pay too much to live in a home that sounds like we live above a dive bar who take payment from a small handful of people at the Cost of an entire Community. Where is Our Cut?? Seems like We Pay More than You Hellbent!! What do We Get Out Of Your Gains?? Sent by an Irked and Concerned Citizen.

I'd been to the State park before (before it became a hotel and bar) so I had a bit of an idea of where this cute little speakeasy bar might be, plus we also wanted to walk around & see "everything" before having our drinks. I will say that I would have ended up here much sooner (I've been wanting to go check it out for the past year or maybe even 1.5 years) but the fact that you either have to have a Discover Pass or pay $10 per car for parking, was what delayed me in making it to this bar. I truly feel that the Tonsorium Bar should validate parking and then they'd have a lot more customers. I already knew that the food and drinks at the bar were going to be pricey, and didn't want to pay the $10 parking fee on top of that. I finally found a friend who had a Discover Pass and who also wanted to check out the bar, so I did eventually make it! Once inside the building you need to find stairs and go downstairs. If you see an old barber chair, you know you've found the bar! They had live music when we went (and it was really good too), not too loud, not too quiet, just the perfect volume. The staff uniforms seem to be a green dress shirt or blouse, and all the servers & the bartender were nice and helpful. The fries were very good but a bit pricey ($9 seems a bit much for fries) and I enjoyed my cocktail. They also had quite a few items on their non-alcoholic menu (nice for those who don't drink or the designated driver) but I wish they would get some non-alcoholic rum as that is my favorite, and sadly that was one of the few things they didn't have. If you are vegetarian or vegan, you will probably love this place, as they have a lot of foods on the happy hour menu as well as the dinner menu to accommodate. Foods seemed to come from the restaurant upstairs and it was nice to see them bring the foods past us and get an idea of what all the menu items looked like. I kind of wished I'd gotten the steak salad, as that one looked really appetizing when they brought it out. Since this bar is "downstairs" there isn't really a view of the grounds, like the bar upstairs has, but this is definitely the "popular" bar, probably cause of it's cozy feel and speakeasy vibes. Looking forward to coming back when the weather gets warmer and maybe combining a walk/mini-hike around the grounds with a trip to the bar.

The place wasn't busy so didn't understand why the food took so long. Then we had some rude employee come to our table and said he called animal control because of our dog. We had checked on the dog a few times while we waited over an hour for a salad and flat bread. That was the last straw. Never going back again.
