I had my nails done last Sunday and the gel polish was peeling of after 3 days. I have called them and was told I should have called them earlier. So this means that the gel polish is only meant to stay for as long as a a normal polish I can do at home. I had Gel polish before and it stayed perfect for weeks. Totally not happy! read more

Last time I will be coming to this salon. I went for a pedicure and a Gel X manicure. I sat in the chair for the pedicure and Cindy was the one who was assigned to me. She was nice at first, however when she asked what type of polish I wanted, she began to argue with me. When she started cutting my cuticles on my toes, she began cutting my skin on purpose next to my toe. I told her multiple times that it was painful, exclaimed "Ow" and she didn't stop until the nail tech who was doing my manicure told her to stop as well. After that, she half-assed my pedicure, gave me a disappointing massage, and barely acknowledged me. If I decide to go back, I'll have to ask for anyone but Cindy. :( read more

I brought my sisters as a Christmas present - one got a full set and the other a pedicure. The sister getting the full set showed her nail tech a reference picture of nails with gold sparkle nail polish tips. The tech ended up putting gold foil on her tips, but my sister was unaware that that's what was happening until we got the receipt. The total ended up being $78 because of that gold foil. She was not notified of the cost before the application, and the foil is not what she asked for. I am a low-income graduate student so I only brought enough cash for a reasonably priced short, coffin-shaped set. I had to have my sister pull out cash to cover the difference. They gave us a $7 discount, but the whole thing just felt shady. I didn't dispute at the time because I didn't know the whole story until my sister told me. We still tipped all of our technicians, but ultimately feel scammed and taken advantage of and won't be returning. They sent us a survey after to rate our experience but their automated reply to a rating of "very unhappy" asked that we call them to work it out. That just seemed very impersonal and like they truly didn't care to do the effort to follow up. We learned a lesson, and hope that in the future they are transparent and gain consent before applying an expensive product. ***Note to the owner's response: It is extremely unprofessional to refuse accountability and constantly blame your customers for your business problems. We can see your unprofessional attitude in every comment you make towards a bad review. In regard to your response, my sister would NEVER ok a price like that, and that is incredibly disrespectful and condescending for you to shift the blame onto her. Also, she wasn't the one handed the bill- I was. She, as well as several other family members, have been regular customers and have told others about your business. But our family will no longer be using your salon and we will be sure to let others know as well. Your responses on this app are evidence of your lack of care. Came in a month ago to get my nails done for a wedding, my technician cathy was awesome, gentle, and friendly. I rarely get my nails done and she was patient with my stiff fingers. The nails felt slightly heavy at first but eventually i got used to it, in fact, i enjoyed the fact that it was slightly thick because it lasted longer for me without breaking or lifting...would definitely go to her again and recommend her! Last night, a month later, i finally decided to get the nails removed. My technician this time was lynn and lets just say i hated my time with her. I came in just to get the nails removed, no manicure or anything. This service is $10. Lynn did not know what the hell she was doing. She was rough, she hurt me, and she looked puzzled! My last technician was next to me with another customer and i had showed her my nails and how much i loved them, i was in a good mood until lynn began working, then my mood went sour. Though lynn kept a nice attitude, it didnt make up for what she did and how she did. Cathy came over to us and showed lynn an easier way to remove the nails on one finger, she did it fast, less painful, and she kept the length of my nail! However, lynn just didnt know how to do it, instead she used a nail cutter, a cuticle cutter, and the buffer tool, and a fake nail! She was just hacking away at the nail...even a chunk of it flew out and almost hit the customer next to me! Lynn left my nails jagged, uneven, flaking, sore, some nails are extra brittle and thin, whereas, some nails are thick (i think there are still product on there), she lifted my actual nails on a few fingers, theres even bubbles in the middle of my nail bed, and didnt care about keeping my natural length! I just kept my mouth shut because i just wanted to hurry and leave! Now i know i only wanted the nails removed, however, that service with the results i got were NOT WORTH $10, probably $5 at most so I decided not to tip. NEVER AGAIN! WOW if I lived in Riverside, this would be MY go-to spot to get my nails done. Helen & Cee were amazing. They offered me a beverage soon as i sat down in the chair & i was surprised. --(I had some traumatic experiences where my cuticles would get cut bc a nail tech accidentally cut me with the drill & would say it's bc my nails were so small) -- I let Cee know I was kinda scared & she was so accommodating to my concerns & comfort & she was hella quick & precise down to filing & painting perfect square shape tips. Helen definitely made my legs feel so relaxed & pampered from walking @ HHN. Very kind & sweet ladies. The woman at the front desk surprised me with a gift bc it was my first time visiting them & soon as I recieved it I was like, now I see why y'all were awarded top nail salon! i'm being nice with this review.. the salon is cute Tammy did my pedicure. for nail techs..quality over quantity. if you don't want to do your job, the just say that. i got the #2 for my pedicure. that's with callus remover. Tammy told me that she couldn't take the callus off cause i needed to come in more often. NO TF I WILL NOT! I'm paying for a service. She barely scrubbed my feet to even remove the callus. Is it cause i'm black? Yes, I pull that card all the time. It's annoying and dysfunctional at this point to even act like it's not the pink elephant in the room. Got a gel pedi on Nov. 15, 2021 & a few hours later noticed little fuzz & I tried to wipe it off & ALL my toenails were sticky, so I called the shop ((after multiple calls because no one answered)) I was asked to come back to fix it. Came back the next day ((Nov. 16, 2021)) & she sprayed alcohol on my toes & just put clear/top coat on them. The next I look down on the floor my whole left pinky toenail polish came off in 1 piece!! I had super glue nearby so I just used that to reapply. But today Thursday Nov. 18, 2021 the same thing happened to the toe next to the pinky on the left AND the whole polish from my right pinky toe. So I'm after a couple days of a $60 nail service AND gave her a $10 tip 3 gel nail polish came off & I had to go back for no topcoat being applied. Annie did my nails this time, and she was amazing. I love my nails extremely short because I'm constantly undoing car seats and it's just easier. She got them to the length I wanted and I wasn't nervous during the cut down process like I normally am due to the nail technician having to cut so close to my finger tips. They are also amazingly shaped. Perfectly square but not sharp. She also knew it would be best to do them a bit thicker so they wouldn't break and they still look amazing and you can't even tell they're thicker. Worst service ever!! I would not recommend this place at all if you want to get your nails done. I first got rushed into a seat without even getting a chance to pick my nail color. I told the nail tech I wanted a gel manicure and he proceeded to simply just cut and file my nails after buffing them for a while which made them very fragile. He then proceeded to say my nails couldn't be shaped in a square oval shape since they're fragile (which he made them fragile) and so he forced me to get dip on my nails to strengthen them and he still didn't get my shape right. After that, no base coat was added and he starts with the color and only adds ONE coat. I also asked for chrome and it doesn't look like chrome at all. It just looks like glitter. Once he was done, there was top coat all over my cuticles and the polish was also on my cuticles. My 7 year old sister could do better... To add on, my service was only 20 mins it felt super rushed for something that was supposed to be a manicure. I only got color, no cuticles being removed or soaking was done. I shed tears because of how angry I was to pay $65 for something that's worth maybe $25. My friend also got her nails done and the person doing her nails cut too deep into her cuticles and left her bleeding from 2 nails and didn't clean the blood up properly. My other friend, had air and dust bubbles in her gel nails and they look chunky because of how many coats they did to cover the bubbles up. Would not recommend this place. My friends brought me here as they are regulars and I wanted to try a new spa out, and the first thing I noticed was how nice everyone was. All of the nail techs were professional, helpful, and engaging in conversations. All stations were clean and organized and I did not feel as if they were rushing on my nails, despite them having lots of customers for a Monday. Erick did my gel manicure and I loved the results. No air bubbles, even coat, and a much needed cuticle cleanup. One thing I will mention is that there is a slight up charge if you're paying with a card, so I recommend having cash in hand.
