Less than a year after purchase, the check engine light came on, and after several visits, I was told there was carbon buildup on the intake valves -- a well-known issue in VW engines. What makes this worse is that when I first brought the car in, they cleared the warning light without doing any real repair, and told me everything was fine. The light came back the very next day. Then, instead of honoring their warranty or taking responsibility, they quoted me $1,400 + tax for a repair that should have been addressed during the warranty period. Communication with their staff was frustrating and inconsistent. Every time I tried to get straight answers, I got different excuses. The dealership seems more interested in pushing sales than standing behind the vehicles they sell. I've already filed a complaint with Volkswagen of America and the BBB because customers deserve honesty, not avoidance and blame-shifting. If you value transparency, accountability, and integrity -- please avoid this dealership. They treat customers like a problem, not a priority.

Again, Peter answered and confirmed we could get it done the next day. They replaced the rear bulb and just charged for the part - no gigantic labor charge. They informed us a certain part in these kinds of cars continues to trigger a dashboard warning light even when all rear bulbs are OK. Other places would try to talk you into fixing that part unnecessarily, but not this place. They just want to take good care of you and keep you as a happy, returning customer.

In this instance, I'd like to give David's Auto Repair a whopping top-shelf rating of the highest high. My review are based on many factors. 1. I've been going here for quite some time now and the service is very consistent, hence my review took so long. I observe for a while and then, I put pen to paper. The mechanics knows what they are doing and they don't second guess themselves. 2. The owner (Dave) is very friendly and knowledgeable guy and his sister (Anita) is basically the backbone of the company, she handles and run the business very efficient and smooth like car oil. (lol) 3. The place is clean, spacious and organized. You can also asked them anything and don't matter how busy they are, they'll always make time to try and help you or give you their undivided attention to lead you in the right direction. 4. They don't lie after diagnosing a problem either, they tell you exactly what's wrong with your vehicle, some other mechanic might fabricate or exaggerate a problem just to make extra money on you. Many times I wanted to fix things that I thought were bad and they quickly brought me back to reality, saying that "this is money you don't need to spend because there was nothing wrong with your car, it was just a minor fix" and it turned out to be true. 5. I would say that living in the neighborhood for over 2 decades now, that I've finally found a business that I am content with all-round. Just this week, I took my car to the dealership to have a check engine light and car acceleration problem inspected. The dealer located 2 issues that caused the check engine light, an engine issue and a transmission issue. They wanted $3000 for the former issue, and $5500 for the latter. This would've cost me more than my car was worth. I paid the dealership $170 for checking out the car (!), and left. Nav's crew fixed the engine issue for $190, and the check engine light went away. Turns out, the dealership wanted to replace the entire engine because of a small tear in an engine harness wire. Nav's crew fixed the wire and were happy to save me the unnecessary expense. The dealership also misdiagnosed an issue with the sensor as having been caused by the transmission. Nav knew that the acceleration issue I was experiencing had nothing to do with the transmission. All this was just this week. A while back, the check engine light had turned on for a different issue. Nav fixed the issue for a small fee, and the light went off. When the light went on a few weeks later, he took the car backed and fixed the issue for FREE (turns out it was a senor issue), because he didn't want to charge me twice. This happened several more times, and Nav didn't charge me ANOTHER PENNY. That is what an honest mechanic looks like. Unlike the dealership, who charged $170 just for checking and diagnosing the car, Nav never charged me unless he actually fixes my car. This is a mechanic you can trust.

They even offered to fix it for a large sum of money just to keep the engine from falling. The car still doesn't work. Instead of helping they just took his money and won't give it back. Now my brother is down a car after his first one before this was hot by another vehicle and was swindled from this place with a lemon. Also the car I brought I had to bring it in for it to get fixed alost every month and the last time I brought it in they said everything was fine just like they said with my brothers car. They are from Croatia as well as the K & S brothers. I thaught at the time I could not possibly get a better recommendation. I sould have been more alert few months later when they replaced a catalyctic converter on one of my wife's cars. Looking back at our bills from our previous mechanic in the old neighborhood, I noticed this part was already replaced few months earlier. The K & S brothers told me the previous guy didn't do it wright. I could not prove anything so I let it slide. This time however it was very obvious they were out to get me. I have a 2008 car that has 21000 miles on it. I don't do much mileage anymore so the tires got cracks on them because of age, not miles. I brought the car to K & S to have the 4 tires replaced. They told me after checking, that I also needed brake pads (the front one).the back one were only half gone. Meanwhile they had replaced the pads on that car a year ago and the pads have only about 2000 miles on it. When faced with it, at 1st they denied ever replacing it (I have their bill) and after that they said they made a mistake. I am a retired mechanical engineer, I can tell when a car needs brake or not and this car's brake are in brand new condition after only 2000 miles. There is no mistake there. I will make sure to let the people who recommended K&S so highly to be aware.
