I don't often write one star reviews, but I wanted to share my experience to caution potential buyers to have any vehicle offered by this dealer checked over by an unaffiliated qualified mechanic. This dealership did not describe the condition of the car accurately, and allowed a test drive of a vehicle with apparent mechanic and safety issues. Called the dealership and made an appointment to test drive a 2009 Maserati Gran Sport. A close friend of mine wanted to fly in and drive the car home so I agreed to check it out and be a part of the transaction. Spoke with Matt on the phone who assured me the car was in 'mint' condition and that there were no issues with the car. I originally planned to view the vehicle within 24h, but was told the car was at another dealership being shown, but would be 'back soon because he had five other people inquire about it'. No problem, I had expected that maybe a car of this age/caliber, even with a low 51000 miles on it probably needs some work before being offered, and was willing to accept the car with some flaws if the price was right. Showed up two days later with my GF, about 30 mins late to my scheduled test drive (I appreciate the flexibility on a Friday). I was greeted and did a walkaround of the car before going inside. Noticed the under dash panel was missing from the driver side, a cluster of buttons were broken on the dashboard and sunken in, and a parking sticker from the previous owner remained on the window. Ok, maybe it was in for service? The Check Engine light was still illuminated, however Neither Matt nor the salesperson who went on the test drive acknowledged the other person, my GF, with me. It was like she was invisible. Rep made some questionable comments about women while we were on the test drive. Made us raise our eyebrows and ask "what year is it again?" The rep on the test drive talked the entire time - was hard to concentrate on the vehicle condition but did quiet down after I asked him twice. What I was able to discern: the car sounded awesome. It is a Maserati after all, but had been in at least one front end collision. The alignment was off and the car pulled to one side. The rep on the test drive told me they fixed it at the shop. Fender and hood did not line up, front bumper and grill had visible damage, and distance sensors were going haywire on the test drive. Between this and the CEL, I expected this maybe from a $5000 car on Craigslist, but not a $30k car being offered by a business with such a high Yelp rating. Got back to the dealership to talk to Matt, find out what the story was with the damage and perhaps make a deal given the flaws of the car. Went to park the car, and the parking brake was not functioning. Major safety issue, and probably the final straw. Matt was first very dismissive when I told him of the issues with the car, insistent that it was in reasonable condition. When I pressed Matt, while remaining courteous, about the accident damage and apparent effects on the radar/distance sensors up front, he became very combative and rude. He did not offer to look at the issues I mentioned and raised his voice. Because of their unwillingness to accept responsibility and put a potential customer at risk in a vehicle with apparent safety issues, I cannot recommend this business and would caution anyone in the market for a European automobile to purchase elsewhere. read more

HORRIBLE AWFUL TERRIBLE. This business is the reason why I wish Yelp had a negative star option. Oh man, what a steaming pile of horseshit. My husband and I have been searching for several weeks to find a nice BMW 745. We've been all over the place test driving and putting up with sales pitches and all that twaddle. These guys had one on their lot which was EXACTLY what we were looking for - color, options, everything - with a clean Carfax and everything. We came in for a test drive and decided we wanted to buy it. We were working directly with the owner, Matt. First shady thing: their website clearly states (see photo I posted) that they have a price match guarantee: find a comparable car for sale elsewhere and they'll match it if it's priced lower. Well, the weekend before, we HAD found another 745 that was EXACTLY the same. Same year, same options, same color....fuck, it even had the same MILEAGE. We actually compared the VINs to make sure it wasn't the same car! The other car was priced at $12995 and this one here was $17999. We brought the paperwork AND pictures of the other car with us as proof. I asked Matt about the price match guarantee and he said exactly what it says on the website. I asked if there are any limitations, exclusions, or fine print to the deal and he said nope, as long as it's a comparable car, he'll match the price. Out came our documentation on the previous car. All of a sudden there ARE limitations to the price guarantee! Gasp! And those limitations are that it's a big fat LIE!! "No, cannot!" crows Matt. Ok, ok, I'm annoyed....but we still want the car. We took the discussion inside. Matt claimed that they do a thorough inspection of all their vehicles before offering them for sale and fix anything that's wrong. We asked to see the inspection records. They aren't in the file cabinet.... Oh, all of a sudden their shop is closed and the mechanic guy has gone home. The records MUST be in the shop, so sorry (wait Matt, if you're the owner, why don't you have keys to the shop??). Ok, well we'll come back and ask for them then. Matt flashed the Carfax report in front of us but wouldn't give us a copy (no problem dude, we ran one ourselves before we came in). I think he did that on purpose because he didn't want us to see that the car's last brake service was in 2007. But....during the test drive, we noticed that the car's info system said the brakes were "at minimum" and needed immediate attention. We kept that to ourselves for the moment. We talked Matt down to $15995. Not bad, but still disappointing with the whole fake price-match thing. Whatever. We said we would have to come back on Saturday (this was a Tuesday) to take the car for a pre-purchase inspection and finalize the deal. I wrote a check for $1000 as a deposit to hold the vehicle and prove we were serious. I asked Matt POINT BLANK "Do you PROMISE you won't sell the car to anyone else in the meantime? We're for sure coming back on Saturday." Matt looked me and my husband in the eye and said "No, I will not sell it to anyone else." Now, fast forward to Friday. Hubby gets a call from Matt. Matt claims there's some girl there "crying because she wants the car and she's willing to pay full price in cash." Are we 100% sure we're coming back for it tomorrow? Hubby says yes indeed, we ARE coming back, and if the car passes its inspection then we WILL be buying it. So no, we don't care if some chick is crying or not, you promised you wouldn't sell it to anyone else. I thought the story reeked of bullshit anyway....Matt probably wasn't too happy about having been talked down and was trying to get out of the deal. Anyway....bounce forward another few hours and you find Hubby and Yours Truly enjoying a drink after work. Matt calls & leaves a message saying sorry but his son sold the car today. Uhm, EXFUCKINGSCUSE ME?! Oh hell no! I call Matt back. This asshole was so rude and dishonest. His story kept changing. First it was his son who sold it, then it was "well what do you expect me to do, this person pay full price, you pay less, what position am I in?" I said to him that the position he's in is one of a business owner - someone who should UPHOLD HIS AGREEMENTS and NOT BREAK PROMISES. I said that was a horrible thing to do - we left a damn DEPOSIT on the car. His response : "Do you know how many these checks I get in a day? They mean nothing!" Really. I don't just go around writing checks for a GRAND if I don't mean it!! I told him he lied to us and he said "Why you so defensive? I no lie to you!" YES HE DID!! I said, "You looked us in the eye and PROMISED you wouldn't sell the car to anyone else. That was a LIE." He insisted that I was unreasonable and he didn't lie. Uhm, hey dumbass, when you promise to do one thing but then do the opposite, that's called a LIE. I bought a car January 13, 2023. Car said it has 66,000 miles the car actually had 67,000 miles. I had the car five months the thread is coming out on the tires. The owner made up the contract, put the wrong miles on there. The car came with no locks to take off the tire. If purchasing a car from him, make sure you check the mileage. Because he let his son drive the car for a couple months, then put it back on the lot. That's why the mileage is incorrect. The owner does not have a fax machine at his place of business. I'm really upset. I have threads coming out of my tires after five months. Don't buy a car from there go to a dealership he's a rip off. He tried to charge me more money, but my credit union said they have to pay the value of the car not what he wants to charge you. I'm at a tire place now. The wheel stud is loose. (Please note that this rating are compared to other lot dealerships and not to be compared to an official manufacturered dealership such as Toyota, Infiniti, Nissan, etc.) So this past weekend, the Boyfriend decided to look for cars around the area he feels most comfortable purchasing, Albany, CA. (Simply because, he had purchase practically all his cars in this area and no one has tried anything dirty to him yet) We decided to head down the San Pablo road and starting looking for cars in car lots. Mind you, I've never looked at cars at lots. In fact, I never bother even trying believing that all they want to do is rip you off with a car that will break down in matter of days. However, the Boyfriend was experienced in looking and talking to car sales men I didn't say anything to his choice. (You have to let the man do what he wants first; if it fails then put your two (2) cents in... softly) So after driving pass quite a few of lots, we finally stopped at this lot. From my perspective, this lot had the best car selection compared to the others on this road. I knew the Boyfriend was really wanting an Infiniti, but he was open to other types. We saw several Acura TL and a few Lexus he liked. I think because he dealt with this lot before (5 years ago) he knew he had to stop by this spot before buying any car outside of it. We parked and walked the lot. There were Rolls Royce, Mercedes, Infinitis, (I was attracted to the Nissan 240sx) Acura TL, Dodge Magnum, Lexus... you get my drift. (The other lots had a lot of Ford trucks, vans and SUVs.. and the Boyfriend wasn't interested in them.) This lot hit the right spot for him (and also for me). We saw two infinitis there. One had someone already putting a down payment to, but the black one (G35) was available. Before we went googoo gaga-ing over it, he wanted to walk down to the last lot on the road before really looking into that car. "We'll be back." he says to the salesman. The other lot (a block away), in my opinion, has the 2nd best car selection on this road. They too, had an Infiniti G35... however, it was bright red. (I always say, anything that's a bright color is a color that is setting you up, "asking to be pulled over") We took a quick glance at it and started back to this lot. He salesman saw us walking back up and instantly asked, "so, you want to start on that paper work?" (Straight to the point, I like it) While I walked around the lot and checked out their cars, the Boyfriend gave him the necessary ID to check his credit and all. His credit came back and was pretty much approved for about 90% of the cars in the lot. I came inside for a quick second to see what its' like inside. There was a receptionist which seemed as if she was busy with piles of paper work. An italian guy gentleman who looks tired and drained and stressed. And a salesman who's tired but straight to the point type of man. They discussed a bit more about the cars he was interested in. Like a child in a candy store, I just walked around looking at how clean the cars and awe and ahhing. (hehee) We didn't have any appropriate paper work so we left and told them we will return in the morning. (I had to work on a few stuff before we left home, so we didn't actually arrive 'til sometime in the afternoon) The next day, we just got out of our car and the salesman stood at the door way and shouted, "did you get the message?" I looked at the Boyfriend and he shouted back, "what message?" "You're approved for the Infiniti!" "Now thats what I'm talking about!" he shouted back. (Haha That was a nice way to start the paper work) When we walked in, instead of a receptionist and a older (what seems to be) italian gentleman, it was two young bucks and the salesman. One of them looks so focus that if you bothered him he looks like he's about to snap (this is the the accountant I believe, the good looking one). The theres the other guy -whom I'm still figuring what his role/position is- what seems to be very busy with absolutely nothing. He seems to be a bit of a grouch and lazy (by the way he drag his feet when he walks). I figure he must be related to somebody there is probably the only reason why he is working there. Anyways, after everything went through and the paper work was done (yes, we test drove it before started the paper work), we left. The Boyfriend was happy I can tell. But being a man that he was, he was holding it in very well. Customer Service wasn't the best that I've experienced but these people were honest and straight to the point. I like that. They also pointed out that we were the first (in a long time) that was honest and was able to down a whole first down payment to them. They actually helped pay the 50% of what was needed to get the other loan that would help the Boyfriend knock off a year off his payment plan. The verdict: Don't hesitate to get a car here. Matt Matin is a crook who sell cars he knows have major problems. He concealed known problems from me and then reneged on his agreement to pay for repairs. I was aware that a few dealers in the bay area had 2013 Corvettes for sale in the low 30s. I live in Reno but was on a road trip in California on June 2, 2015 and decided to stop here to take a look at their Corvette. It looked fine but was in a glassed in room, not easy to get out. We had to work the next morning in Reno and had to stop in Stockton for dinner with my parents so were in a hurry. Matt assured me that he had been over the car with a fine toothed comb and it was "perfect". He provided a clean carfax report. I decided to buy the car and paid with 3 checks, 2 of which were postdated because I would need to move some money out of brokerage accounts for the checks to be paid. His son retrieved the car and I heard it start rough although I was in the office at the time. It started fine for me in the lot and I drove it to Stockton for dinner with my parents. By the time we finished dinner to leave for Reno it was almost 9 PM. The car started but would not run properly (very rough) and repeatedly died. I was forced to leave it in Stockton with my parents. Next day I contacted Matt Matin and advised him of the problem. I also stopped payments on 2 of the checks totaling $26,000, although the first check for $6,000 cleared. Matt claimed that I had run the car out of gas and by doing so had got dirt in the fuel injectors. Dubious at best since the gauge had never been below 1/8 of a tank and I'm quite certain the vehicle has a fuel filter. In any event, my Dad charged the battery and added fuel. After intermittent starting and running problems, my Dad was able to get the car to Reno. I replaced the bad battery but the car now was not starting at all. I had it towed to a local Chevy dealer. He was still claiming that despite the fuel gauge never being below 1/8, somehow I had done something to the car by running it out of gas. He agreed to pay for any repairs not caused by running the car out of fuel, and agreed to pay to fix the fuel gauge if that was an issue. The dealer ran diagnostics and replaced 3 burned out relays. I paid for the repairs and got the car home, but although the car now started, it was intermittently failing to run. About 1/3 of the time, seemingly at random, it would turn over, run rough, and die. I advised Matt and asked him to come get this POS and refund my money. He refused. He insisted that I had bought the car "AS IS". I countered that the "AS IS" part of the contract was void if there was fraud in the inducement, such as concealing known defects or if he had falsely assured me that he had been over the car with a "fine toothed comb" as he claimed. I replaced the gas cap on the guess that maybe a lack of a vacuum in the fuel tank was causing a problem - no help. I had the car towed back to the dealer again. Matt continued to demand payment and make various threats if I didn't pay. Ultimately I agreed to pay on the condition that if the problem occurred again within a week he would pay to fix it. He had failed to pay for the relays and diagnostics as agreed but I deducted that $300 from the balance owed and paid him in full. By this time we are in early July and I hadn't been able to enjoy the car without problems for a single day. I had been stranded away from home once in Stockton and twice in Reno and it had also failed to run when parked at home. The dealer finally discovered the problem in mid to late July. The invoice reads as follows: "Underhood fuse block and terminal are melted, poor connection on fuel pump terminal 1.00 verified concern. After many successful cold soak starts, attempted hot soak start. Vehicle finally acted up. Found no fuel PSI to fuel rail, no power to pump. Inspected undressed fuse block terminals as this is a concern with other vehicles. Found fuel pump power terminal is melted and fuse box is damaged. Replaced fuse block and replaced terminal and a short length of wiring. System is working as designed at this time." When I finally got the car back the service rep told me that there was no possible was that the guy who sold me the car (Matt Matin) didn't know about this problem when he sold it to me and also no way that anything I had done had caused the problem. I emailed Matt and asked him to honor his agreement to pay the $578.63 for the additional repairs. I had already absorbed the cost of the new battery and gas cap and lost almost 2 months of use plus all the hassles. Matt refused. He claimed that he didn't have to pay because the repairs were made more than a week after his last email. I responded that he never said the repairs needed to be made within a week, only that the problem had to continue during that week, and in fact the problem had been present from the day I drove the car off his lot. No response. Do not buy from him. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!! DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!! You have been warned.... . I bought a BMW at this lot and I regret it every day buying my car here. From the onset the car had issues. The doors would not lock after one day, then the rear end was squeaking as I drove it. I went to back to the dealership attempting to discuss the matter with the owner, so the car could be repaired. Well that was a mistake after arguing and me pleading with him to take the car and place it back on his lot for sale, he was unwilling to compromise. I left with my Super Lemon. I took the car to a Certified BMW repair shop for a estimate. The Mechanic asked me why I bought the car? I stated I liked it at the time. It get worse he gave me the list of needed repairs oil housing unit and shocks and suspension in the rear end. The total for repairs was $3,800. The mechanic also stated he is unclear if oil is leaking from anywhere else and will let me know when he begins to move the parts around and clean up the mess of oil spilling everywhere. I assume it's family owned and they would repair the car. When I called then dealership I was told the car was an as is purchase. As a result I am now paying a car note on a car that will be non-operate able before I am halfway thought the loan payments. They will say anything to try and get you to buy it. DO NOT COME HERE. I bought a 2013 wrx and I regret it everyday buying my car here. They gave me information that wasn't even valid. Some scratches and some interior damages. They didn't even tell me the radio was after market until my friend told me. So I ended up paying 200 to get the password revealed on the radio. They claimed it had two more weeks of warranty so after I bought it I of course took it to the dealer asap. The Subaru dealer ship said it actually ended already and it so happened to be the day I bought the car. A sensor broke a couple days after and that cost 400 to fix. I assume it's family owned but their customer services sucks. I was the one who had to greet them. One of the guys was eating a snack licking his fingers tryna shake my hand. But considering how nice the car was or so I thought I ignored their poor services and took a chance. They will say anything to try and get you to buy it. In results I'm financially screwed but it's not like I'm gonna be in totally debt. I'm actually planning on trading in this car in the winter after I save a little and build more credit.
