Buyer Beware! This is a place to bring your car to if you are trusting or a sucker. If you are smart you will steer clear. We picked this place due to the reviews that we found online, their apparent expertise on repairing European cars, and how helpful they were on the phone. We needed to have an oil change and radiator flush, several other smaller things done, as well as asked them to check the car and let us know if they saw anything else major that needed to be done while they were doing the above. At the time we dropped the car I wanted to know and asked specifically for cost to have all the above done and we were told they could not tell us at that time, but would call us with an estimate for approval before anything was done. We were not asked to sign anything agreeing to the cost of the work or estimate. Well when we got an estimate for $2400 which was markedly inflated from everywhere else that we called around to for the same work. We told them we did not want to do the work done and wanted to hold off. When we showed up to get our car Art told us that it would be $140 for the cost of an estimate, being we were not having the work done, and that they would not release our keys otherwise. I feel that this shop is either poor at communication or unscrupulous. They should have disclosed a diagnostic fee and their hourly rate at the time the car was dropped off, being they were specifically asked for the costs up front. read more

Do not do ANY business with the Scam Artists at European Auto Group. This place genuinely scammed my Elderly parents and I who had our family investment 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Special Edition at EAG for repairs. For nearly 9 MONTHS it sat and they never started any repairs other than removing a few wire plugs and covers. On Jan 29, 2018 the car was taken to EAG and it sat for nearly 3 months with nothing done. On 4/23/2018 they charged approximately $4979.50 on my father's credit card and claimed the vehicle needed a new F1 Transmission Computer and Body Wiring Harness which were verified after to be 100% NOT true, these items were documented and verified to be working perfectly. To further their scam they even said they found a used wiring harness and placed it in the front trunk, but it was actually a BMW wiring harness which I still have as it was left in the vehicle when it was eventually picked up. We let the lack of repairs done in a timely manner lapse for so long because they offered us another scam that we fell for. The scam was they were going to pay for half of the "repairs" and if we let them rent out the car for us in which they would split the rental fees with us, which sounded like a great deal. We have a copy of the Auto Lease agreement which was signed 5-29-2018. We provided Auto Insurance dated June 1, 2018 so that the car could be rented. On June 8, 2018 they appear to have done a fraudulent safety inspection which actually reported MORE mileage than is even currently on the car (and the vehicle was in no way running when said inspection occurred). Finally after repeated broken promises, all of which are documented, my parents notified the police and had the Lamborghini Gallardo picked up on October 15, 2018. Every time I or my parents tried to check on the car they would push us off or even avoid us. Come to find out they did not give us back several parts that were removed from the vehicle. Fortunately the credit credit card company agreed that no repairs were ever performed and refunded the $4,979. We have pictures and documentation of everything that happened including I am certainly going to tell the world about their fraudulent business practices. If anyone else has been scammed by EAG please contact me so we can provide the information to the local news outlets. I will be posting this all over the internet to help people avoid getting scammed. Art did my F430 tranny. The man knows his stuff but when it comes to the care of customers car, at least mine, he could care less. I'm in CA, so my car was transported to his shop. Not once did I rush him because I wanted done right. I asked when it was close to being done, let me know so I can make arrangements to fly down to test drive my car. When I arrived, rear valance and belly pan not installed. I was hoping to drive it for the weekend to make sure everything is good before shipping back but instead only a few miles. Upon inspecting my car, I notice the opening where the paddle shifter were located did not have covers installed and in the fronk, the leather strap that holds the inflator was broken. He assured all will be taken care off before transporting the car back to me. I also requested all the F1 parts replaced to be sent with the car. Day of arrival, I was very excited. No covers for paddle shifter openings, straps not repaired, no F1 parts, and forgot my floor mats. Art said he was going to shipped them but never did because less than one week/ 50 miles, the F430 had a clutch issue(new clutch) something which I was hoping to avoid, for the reason I flew down for the test drive . The F430 was transported back on their dime because it was under warranty. Problem was the clutch block he said. The real BIG issue was getting the car back. Art hired a transport company, the driver informed me 1-2 weeks. Weeks go by, no car, l informed Art, later I get a text from Art, "transport said he was in Colorado running behind." Fast forward 4 weeks later, after multiple texts/calls to the transport driver, no response, I also contacted Art. Art said the driver was also not responding to him. Art had NO information of the company, just the drivers contact number, WTF, no company name or invoice. He say he was going to check his security camera, a week goes by, Art never called me, I had to call him. Art had no info. I ended up calling my insurance company and San Antonio PD filing a theft report. Both my insurance and PD thought it was strange EAG had no information on the transport company. Two days later I get a call from Art, found my car, it was still in Texas, never left the state, WTF, Art said the driver had no money to operate his rig. Not once did I feel he was worried where my car was. Finally my F430 is returned, total 5 months. Whats missing this time, some fastener bolts for the fronk liner(was removed when the strap was replaced)and my original clutch, still had 70+% life which Art said. I had a buyer for the used clutch, took him 4 weeks to send to me after bugging him numerous times. The clutch he sent is all chewed up, I know it's not my clutch, the buyer backed out . And now he's ignoring all my text/calls. This is no BS, I have texts and pics to prove all of this. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you. read more

I can't recommend Art and his business highly enough. I live 2100 miles away and entrusted him to do a very involved project on a car that is my baby. We had an initial meeting and went over the scope of work to be performed, we finished up our meeting stating we were starting a business relationship based on mutual trust. It was not easy to ship my pride and joy off . He had my car within days. Throughout the process of the work to be done we stayed in touch consistently. Due to unforeseen circumstances with parts etc., beyond anyone's control the finished date took longer than anticipated. To make the delay a little easier for me to deal with, Art loaded my car on his own trailer and delivered it to my door personally !!! Once delivered we spent the afternoon going over the details of work performed. After Art had started back towards Texas (he was about 1 1/2 hours away), I called him and needed his assistance. He turned around and worked with me in my shop for many hours. The work needed was more involved and required parts being shipped etc. Art drove back to Texas, arranged all parts etc within a few days. We planned for him to fly out a couple days later and we would finish the repairs together at my own shop. With parts all boxed and ready to ship overnight Saturday delivery and Art flying in Saturday afternoon..... Both UPS and Fed Ex informed him the parts were oversized for Saturday delivery, and I may not be part of the Saturday route....... At 10:00 his time on Friday night, Art loaded his truck and drove 2100 miles again to me. He arrived Sunday at 5:00 my time (eastern) we worked until 1:30 am to reinstall all the parts. He did this willingly, he did this with a smile. This is true dedication to customer satisfaction. His knowledge of these cars is incredible, his business is his passion. I am setting up my own enclosed trailer to transport my car to Art annually and I will be having Art do everything that I don't do myself. We have got to know each other and became friends during this time as I knew from the beginning he is a man of integrity. He has a customer for life !!! I took my Mercedes in yesterday, after doing a lot of online research. My 100,000 mile warranty is Kaput, so I needed to find a great repair shop that was equal in quality to my dealer, and most importantly, less expensive. I'm happy to report that I found both. I was looking for a car, had a limited, low amount of money to spend, and I traveled 2 hours to San Antonio looking for what I needed. And I found it! But I also found a friendly, reliable repair shop that I can take it to over and over again no matter what the problem. First European car, and I love my VW Jetta. Art is really the only person I've interacted with so far. Great experience and service. It was obvious that customers are the priority. I'd go so far to say that we're kind of like friends even. Bottom line: I'm happy, I got great service, and no more worrying about having to frantically search for a good repair shop if anything goes wrong. Thumbs up! read more
