There's a new wax center in Bolingbrook! It's a very convenient location, especially if you are used to grocery shopping around the area on the weekends. I thought that the estheticians were very professional and this location is very clean. My wax was thorough enough and, trust me, hard wax is so much more comfortable than using wax and strips. Pricing seems standard of most wax businesses, maybe even a bit more expensive. You can buy visit packs for the year of you want to save some money. Of course there is some pushing of their own products, but it's a business and that should be expected. It wasn't too bothersome and hopefully I won't have to hear too long of a pitch every time I go. I am definitely coming back here and I recommend that you give this place a try. read more

I chose EWC for their complimentary first service and decided to add on a brazilian. This was the second time getting my underarms waxed. First time at benefit brow bar. This was a world of a difference. The pain was less than half and process took about half the time. Now onto my brazilian, not sure if it was Jamie's jokes or breathing techniques, but the process was way more tolerable than I expected. I felt totally relaxed and really can't wait to come back for my next appointment. If you have the chance to choose your specialist, request Jamie! LOVE LISA- it was my first time getting a wax and she was AMAZING! She was very thorough and friendly and made me feel comfortable. I would give her and the facility an over 5 stars. However, the girl at the front desk was SUPER rude. Did not greet me, had a dirty look on her face and talked down to me. On the way out she was even worse, she told me something about packages and I asked a question and she responded "just look at the paper it's self explanatory"..., then I purchased a product and she asked if I wanted a bag, I said yes, never got one so then I asked for the bag and she said "no I never asked you if you wanted a bag I asked you if you wanted a receipt" ... I said ok thank you, went to leave and heard her talking under her breath saying something, so I turned around and asked her what she said and she said nothing and rolled her eyes.... never said THANK YOU, GOODBYE, MERRY CHRISTMAS, or anything- honestly the experience with her was very unprofessional and rude. read more

The worst Brazilian wax I've had in a long time. I made an appointment here because of the positive reviews. I was hoping for a good experience. I don't think the wax specialist I had knew anything about which direction to remove wax from the hair based on hair growth. As a result, the after effect is very uncomfortable. Also she stayed in the room while I removed (and put on) my clothing for the service. I've been getting waxed for a long time...everyone else steps out of the room while you remove or put back on your clothes. It was just a weird and bad experience. I won't be back. read more

I've always gone to the Shorewood location, however, my waxer was booked. I took a chance and booked for whatever waxer was available at the Bolingbrook location and I could not be happier. Jamie was amazing. She made me laugh the entire time and made it feel like I was just talking to a friend.She had great attention to detail and made sure everything was done to my liking. The Esthetician that I saw was Thea and she was exactly what I was looking for! When you go for a bikini wax, you want someone who is first and foremost going to listen to what you want removed AND what you do not want removed! And secondly, someone who will lessen the pain as much as possible. Thea did both. She used the mirror and let me shape it how I wanted. She also applied pressure immediately afterward and until it dissipated. She then took the extra time to explain steps I could take to prolong the wax. All in 20 minutes! The only down side is that it can get costly, but they offer great package deal options so that helps. Definitely cannot get better "back for your buck" at any other salon! I walked in today looking like a satyr (think Phil from the movie Hercules) and left feeling like a new woman. Jessica worked her magic on me from head to toe, and it was one of the best waxing experiences I've ever had. I usually have a hard time committing to a particular salon and/or esthetician because I'm on the go so often, but Jessica did such a great job that I bought the wax pass and fully intend on going back to this location to schedule my future waxing appointments with her. Roxanne make you flawless and it painless.I was referred to Roxanne by my friend Beverly 2 yrs ago and I will NEVER go back to a razor. I didn't realized how addicted I was to getting my waxes with Roxanne until I missed an appointment by 2 weeks and had to schedule with someone else. She makes you feel like you've known her forever from the 1st appt. The from desk is always nice and remember me. EWC was much needed in Bolingbrook and Roxanne is hands down the best. read more

I'm updating my review because it has been almost 2 weeks and my eyebrows are just now starting to grow back in; which for me is a huge plus! Eyebrows were beautifully done as far as shape; however I did have to do a little clean up of my own immediately after the appt. It wasn't much, but I was a little disappointed about that. The place seemed very clean, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I'm not sure that it was any more comfortable than other traditional waxing methods, but I guess waxing is just going to hurt no matter what kind you use. I have very sensitive skin and did have a slight reaction to their products, but that is likely just because of my skin more so than their products. Overall I would definitely recommend. read more

Went there to get my eyebrows done and glad it was free since it was my first visit. I would of been very upset for paying $15 for the outcome. I showed them exactly what I wanted and I came out looking worse. My eyebrows were two different shapes and neither was the shape I wanted nor did they look clean. Don't recommend it at all! read more
