Called to follow up on why my voltage was at 231 instead of the maximum 240. I eventually got a call back from the owner of the company who explained things to me. Our new vehicle (Genesis) made switching from ICE to EV very easy (smooth and quiet ride, great acceleration, physical buttons and switches, etc) but the complimentary charging program (Electrify America) left a lot to be desired compared to the Tesla charging infrastructure. Installing a 240V outlet for a home charger has taken all of the "charge anxiety" out of the equation. We wanted the electrical work to be done "by the book" but the first couple of electricians I contacted did not offer to get their work permitted. This is the second house I've had EV Pros install a Tesla charger. Both times Kwan did the installations which were quite complicated and required a lot of expertise. This company is highly competent and skilled and I would not trust electrical work of this type with anybody else. I used the Tesla charger in the first house for about 3 years and it worked flawlessly. The second house installation was even more complicated that the one before and Kwan had to replace the entire breaker box which was quite a job. The new charger is also working amazing. I've had a Tesla Model 3 for four years and, because I don't drive often, have been charging with a regular 110v outlet. Not a big deal to me as I usually replenish the battery used the day prior, overnight. But the wife just recently joined the Tesla family and picked up a Model Y before Thanksgiving. She drives about 30 miles a day, 4 days a week. And she doesnt have my patience!!! My initial conversation with Jennifer was great, she let me know what she needed from me and gave me the options that may occur depending on what our main panel/sub-panel would allow. We were able to schedule an appointment within that same week and we were lucky to have Brandon do the install. Brandon arrived on time, was incredibly polite and showed me the work he'd be doing from the sub-panel. I believe it only took him a couple of hours before his work was complete! I came out to the garage and saw a newly installed Nema 15-40! Brandon made sure to clean up after himself and even brought out a minivac to pick up any residue from the drywall.
