Not so positive: No high chairs and it did take a little over 30 minutes to get 3 sandwiches (I know they're still getting the kinks out) My toddler got a grilled cheese, which she didn't like (I think it the outer part of the bread would be buttered prior to the panini press it would make a huge difference) & lastly.. The Reuben had been raved about on Facebook so I drove here for that sandwich, and it looks nothing like what they advertise, the meat looked very low quality, it was on white bread and it was COLD. Now, I can't say anything about the taste because I couldn't bring myself to take a bite. With a $14 price tag, to say I was let down would be an understatement. I see so much potential here, but since I'm not a deli meat gal to begin with, I probably won't be back.

I always order the fluffy on GF with no cheese, and he always orders the Italian on GF with no cheese. There is cross contamination, so if you are celiac, you can ask them to change gloves, use a clean knife, and keep your sandwich away from the others. We have almost never received the correct order without cheese the first time, but they don't make a fuss when asked to remake the sandwiches, and they are very apologetic. These sandwiches are generous with the meat and other fillings, and the pizza-crust-as-bread works so well. We also get their delicious potato salad with our sandwiches. The seating area is not huge, maybe ten tables, but we've never had to wait for one, and we often take our order to go. The restaurant is clean, and parking is fairly convenient. Even with the issue of having to remake sandwiches, I still rate Blake's a solid five star. It's consistently delicious, and I like supporting a small business in my home community.

They have the expected diner/family restaurant fair such as burgers and shrimp (my personal favorite) but also have proper steaks and other items you wouldn't expect from a normal diner. Everything I've had has been exactly what I wanted so I have no complaints of the food. They also have a ton of beach side seating for events (mostly concerts) and that's great if you just want to grab a beer and sit.
