Amazing food, very friendly service, and beautiful vibes. We got the burrito and French toast for brunch and it was 10/10!

Incredibly pretty restaurant with great staff! I ordered the half chicken which, for the most part was amazing. However, the chicken breast of the half chicken was a bit dry. Overall, the dish had good flavor but the mashed potatoes needed a pinch of salt to really send them over. I also got the guava me tender which was very light and tea based. I added a squirt of lime, which made the flavors really come alive. It was a bit mild and in taste without the line. We had a table split them, brussels sprouts which were absolutely amazing. No notes.

It was OK. Everything was good, nothing was amazing. I got a brisket hash and the brisket was cubed and generic. Drip coffee was pricey. Service was excellent.

TLDR: Great Brunch spot. Loved the service, atmosphere, food and drinks. Found this restaurant since my husband wanted to dress up and go out on a Saturday morning brunch. They have complimentary valet parking and it's inside a hotel. The bathrooms are across the lobby and nicely stocked. They offer a mimosa kit bottle service (a must- have for the perfect brunch) and I also got a Bloody Mary. The sparkling wine they used for the Mimosa was delicious and tasted high quality. The juices tasted fresh squeezed. The Bloody Mary was good tasting but I was disappointed in the garnish because I've come to love a plentiful Bloody Mary. In fact, that's mostly how I judge a good Bloody Mary now- if they practically give you an appetizer in your drink! Alas, the beverage itself aside from garnish was great. For food, we ordered the Brisket Benedict for the Savory and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for the Sweet. We loved the Benedict, and were slightly disappointed in the pancakes. The presentation was ridiculous with blueberry compote just slabbed over the pancakes. I ended up scraping off a lot of the blueberry compote so I could actually have pancakes without a mouth full of sugary sauce. I had to ask for butter and syrup, because the pancakes themselves were not very flavorful. I would have preferred less compote on top, and a side offering of compote with whipped butter and maple syrup. We took home leftovers and they tasted better reheated. Overall, this restaurant is one we plan to return to and recommend to others!

We had a great dinner experience at Evelyn's tonight. My husband is gluten-free, and our waiter had helpful suggestions about which menu items would be safe for him. I ordered the dirty martini, which had delicious blue cheese stuffed olives. I ordered the pappardelle, which was tender but fork-able. (Is that a word? If not, it is now). My husband had the pork ribs, which fell off the bone, and Brussels sprouts. Our nephew had the burger. Everyone was very pleased with their choices. The dining room is very chill, definitely a relaxed atmosphere. I would go back the next time we're in Nash.

Loved everything I ate at Evelyn's, but the short rib was my favorite! They switch their menu up seasonally so I have to wait and see if they ever offer it again. The Brussel sprouts were yummy and I will definitely return.

Came back here because I had such great experience the first time around, but was a bit disappointed this time. Came on a Saturday night and it wasn't super busy so I was seated relatively quickly. I went with the agnolotti pasta. This dish was just okay. The filling of charred sweet potato with ricotta was good super flavorful, but the sauce it came with tasted super watered down and bland. It was so strange because at first I would taste the sauce which basically tasted like nothing and then it was followed up by an explosion of flavor once I bit into the pasta. I think this dish has potential, but definitely needs a better sauce. Nevertheless, the vibe and staff here are really great.

I was able to have my first experience at Evelyn's recently and it was decadent and delicious. I stopped by here and got drinks and appetizers with a friend. They had just rolled out their new fall menu for cocktails and they were really good! I am blanking on the name but my drink had tequila and citrus/orange flavors. It was refreshing and so good. Their homemade bread/biscuits and butter were utter perfection and the duck croquettes were out of this world. I would love to come here for dinner at some point but this was a great start to my experience here. Staff was friendly however they seemed a little spread thin with servers while we were there.

My husband and I came here for a date night, and it was so lovely! The valet was quick and attentive, and the atmosphere in the hotel is absolutely gorgeous! Evelyn's is beautiful. We tried a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed the roasted carrots, steak frites, and duchess potatoes. The angel food cake was divine, I would return for that alone! I typically love okra, but it was tough. Service was attentive, and our cocktails were delicious. I look forward to returning!

Came in for an anniversary dinner. The restaurant was rather quiet and dim lit. The server was incredibly attentive! I ordered the chicken, which was juicy and crisp on the outside. We ordered the potatoes to share. They were very creamy! My partner ordered the steak frites. He enjoyed the sauce on top and the preparation of the steak. Overall, a great anniversary dinner. Hope they expand their menu a bit. Would love to come back again!

Context: Sunday brunch in Hutton Hotel Love: beautiful/comfortable space; fried chicken biscuit sammy (hot honey but not spicy); 2-hr free parking in hotel parking deck Like: prompt service; recommendations Dislike: shortcake

After a long morning of exploring Nashville, we came to Evelyn's for a late lunch. It's also an easy walk from my daughter's apartment. We weren't aware that the entrance is through the Hutton Hotel until the valet guy saw us looking around. He was so nice to show us the way. We arrived just after 2pm to an almost empty restaurant. There was minimal staff that seemed to be prepping for evening service. We were given our choice of seating. We chose a booth by a window. The server that seated us said that her shift was almost over, that she'll get us started then hand over to the bartender (Casey). This happened seamlessly. We ordered the Carbonara Bucatini and Bucksnort Trout. My daughter loved her Carbonara. I found the trout a bit salty but good overall. We were checked on a couple times and our drinks refilled without asking. As we were finishing, we decided that we would share a dessert. Surprisingly the check was brought without giving us the option to order something else. My daughter was so sweet to say in that moment that she would rather have the cookies I baked that morning. With that, we decided to just have dessert at home. The ambiance is very pleasing with elegant light fixtures, lovely seating, soft throw pillows in the booths and touches of holiday decor. I considered Evelyn's for Thanksgiving dinner. They offer a pre-fixed holiday menu for $85 per person. Unfortunately their regular menu would not be available at that time. This did not work for my family so we opted to reserve elsewhere.

    Hutton Old Fashioned
    Erik B.

First let me say if I could give the six stars I would. The waiter Stephen was excellent gave us good recommendations when I asked questions. I started with one of the top five old fashions I've had here in Nashville and the Sauvignon Blanc they had was excellent. When I looked at the menu online after my wife made the reservation I was like meh. This was far from meh. We had the miso buttermilk honey cornbread to start and that was a great start. The salty of the miso was great contrast to the sweet of the honey. Dinner was the BBQ glazed pork chops with creamy grits. I am not a fan of grits at all being a yankee and I am pretty sure I ate more than my southern wife that loves grits. As a side we had the Duchess Potatoes and they were just divine. Overall this was an excellent meal. If this was a stand alone restaurant and not in a hotel it would be reservation only. Even though in the Hutton Hotel it has a great vibe that is casual to a bit more than casual. Highly recommend if you have a chance to experience it definitely do.

It's a great wine bar with an amazing selection of natural wines, delicious food, the best service, and an amazing ambiance. What's not to like? Sauced works a little bit differently than a lot of wine bars. We walked in and were welcomed right away. When we grabbed seats at the bar (there are also tables), our bartender (I feel terrible that I'm not 100% sure of his name since we had such a great time with him - but I'm pretty sure it was John) asked us about wines we like or are drawn to. They don't have a printed menu - they ask you what you like or are in the mood for and then they they'll pour you tastes until you find something you love. Then they have several fridges of bottles you can purchase and open. And their selection here is also great. We saw bottles by several winemakers we stalk (when we see, we usually buy). The wines our bartender recommended (based on our tastes and preferences) were great, too. They also have a great menu of food items - great for a meal or a snack. We ordered their mortadella sandwich, which will likely go down as one of my favorite sandwiches of the year (great bread, tons of mortadella, pistachio cream, gooey melted cheese)... I think I covered this already, but the service was excellent: attentive (we didn't have empty glasses for long at all before we were involved in a conversion about what we wanted to pour next), friendly, helpful... The bar itself is also great - tons of character: walls with smoke from candles, great lighting, little intimate nooks for seating... I had a great time at Sauced: great wine, great food, a great time. I'm not in Nashville as often as I should be (in laws), but I'd be happy to visit Sauced every time I'm in Nashville. Sauced might be an outpost of a Brooklyn wine bar, but Nashville is still so lucky to have it. Most cities don't have a wine bar as great as Sauced.

The curse of Rumours continues!…read more I don't know that any business can survive this address. My first BW review of the year and it seems to have come as a surprise. Whispers abound as to whether the issue at VG was a rent hike or whether the owner just lost interest. In any event, it's the same sad story at the corner of 12th and Woodland. And that's too bad because VG acquitted itself nicely. On a Friday in mid-spring it was the exact right place I wanted to be to catch up with a friend. That backyard has been the stuff of legends for every iteration for a reason. If you've been here for a while, you know the score: walk in the front, smile, be greeted, ask for a table outside. That's just what we did. But before that we got drinks. Being a wine bar and being happy hour and being a Friday we went all in on the house red sangria. Served in a pleasantly large goblet, this goodie jar of wine and fruit did the job of quenching thirst and spurring conversation. To add to the libations, we settled on a series of bites: whipped feta (with sourdough -- and every bit of decadent as described in other reviews), olive tapenade (a briny, mound of oil, citrus and herbs) and (skinny) fries with parmesan & white truffle oil. Right?? What a perfect way to end the work week and begin the weekend. We had wonderful service from Abby and stayed on premises well into sundown. There was a steady crowd throughout our visit so I don't think a lack of business was the COD. Whatever the reason, it sort of boggles the mind that a wine bar concept can't stick around in a neighborhood and location that seems to crave it. That curse might be real.

Music Row Bar & Grill was one of those discoveries, and I'm glad I made the reservation. Located in the beautiful Music Row neighborhood near Vanderbilt University, it's an easy stop whether you're a local or exploring Nashville on foot. The restaurant has its own parking lot, which is always a welcome bonus, and the dining room strikes a nice balance between polished and relaxed. I settled into a comfortable banquette and immediately felt at home. I started with the Fig Salad, a mountain of fresh greens topped with figs, goat cheese, toasted almonds, and a light honey vinaigrette. After several days of barbecue and protein-heavy meals, it was exactly what I needed. Fresh, colorful, and generously portioned. For my entrée, I ordered the skirt steak from the tapas menu with beet chimichurri. What a great choice. The steak was tender and flavorful, while the earthy sweetness of the beets gave the chimichurri an unexpected twist that worked beautifully. It's the kind of dish that reminds you why trying something new is always worth it. Service was warm, attentive, and never rushed. It was clear many of the guests were locals greeting familiar faces, which always says something about a neighborhood restaurant. The atmosphere felt authentic rather than touristy. The best part? Just a short walk away is Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Skip dessert here and stroll over afterward. Dinner followed by artisan ice cream makes for a pretty perfect Nashville evening. Life is too short to eat the same meal twice or skip exploring a neighborhood you've never visited. Whether you're traveling across the country or just across town, find your next great meal. We finished the night with a beautiful Blanc de Blanc to toast our anniversary. What a gem in Nashville, can't wait to be back.

Ced suggested trying their food, big man knew the secrets. I got a Odie's classic burger with bacon and GOLLY THAT WAS GOOD! While enjoying my food and drink In their awesome bar (it has a boat inside!!!) I was checked on multiple times by the server/bartenders, but when I wanted some more napkins there was only their jacked security guys around, I believe his name was Ryan, he could tell I wanted something and offered a helping hand. Besides the food, drink, music, and ambiance being awesome. The politeness, professionalism, and down right good vibes delivered by the awesome employees at Odie's will have me coming back to Music City! They created a raving fan out of me!
