We dined here on an early weeknight for dinner. Located in a rather odd strip mall next to a bar and some other closed leased spaces. Upon entering we noticed a rather large space with nothing in it but one chair and a table in the middle of that space. Only one other family was there at this time in the dining area. Decor is odd (?) and cafeteria-like, with one big flat screen on the furthest wall playing Indian music videos. Lacking was any welcoming energy vibe. The menu is Indian/Indo Chinese with a host of momo dishes which apparently is their specialty here. The dishes we ordered were on the greasy side and not spicy hot even though we requested them to be on the hotter side (level 8 of 10 should constitute pretty spicy hot). During our meal, only 1 other family came in, and 2 take out carriers. That's not a lot of traffic to keep a business running. Overall, not a bad experience, but not much of an experience at all. At least the price of the meal was good.

We were in the area during lunch and pass by the restaurant so we decided to try it out. We arrived around 12:30pm and were seated immediately. There are Indian menu and Indo chinese menu so we tried both. - Butter chicken: good. Although the bowl looked small, it had big chunks of tender chicken pieces. The gravy was creamy and it was more tomatoey for my liking (but it was still tasty!). - Garlic naan: perfectly baked a bit crispy yet still soft. There were lots of garlic on it so it was delicious! - Chicken pan fry momo: good. The momo pieces were big and juicy. The wrap wasn't too thick and the filling was full. The dipping sauce compliments the momo beautifully.

Came back a second time and it was even more amazing. Great service and great food! I definitely want to try all of the dishes.

I came across this interesting restaurant and decided to give it a try. The Chicken Tikka Masala was full of flavors and tender pieces of chicken meat. Steamed lamb Momo was moist and flavorful also. Service with a smile, worth a try

Ambience was nice. Went for early dinner on a Sunday evening- got seated immediately. Ordered veg pakora, masala chai, paneer butter masala , paratha and veg pan fried momos. Veg Pakora was the perfect blend of crispy and soft with a good balance of batter and veggies. Definitely recommend it. On the other hand masala chai was a bit disappointing- chai to milk ratio was off . Tasted more like elaichi dudh (cardamom milk). Paneer butter masala curry was on point! Paratha could have done with less oil - I was expecting whole wheat paratha but my bad for not asking beforehand. Flakiness was good though.

This one was hard to rate. Their service was amazing in that they made all the food from scratch to meet with my allergy. I understand that alliums are hard to not include, so absolutely five stars for that. Oh, I also noted that the bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. Not related to food, but a clean bathroom is an awesome sign of clean food. I wasn't the biggest fan of the food...as it had a lot of all-slice flavor that dominated everything. But that was due to my allergies. Was $62 for two people.

By that, I actually mean juice as in non-alcoholic, not wine, which is technically also grape juice ;) They have this Navarro Pinot Grape Juice that we ordered to try out once, and now we are obsessed. Service can be a tad slow, whether it's busy or not, but the food is always very fresh and worth it. They say on the menu which items can take a little longer as well (momos are like 20 minutes, for instance). They are always friendly and welcoming.

We came to Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen for dinner on a Saturday night. It was packed. Things were a bit slow, but not in a bad way, it seemed like there were only two people at front of house for a full restaurant. We were seated pretty quickly though. We shared the veggie momos (Nepali dumplings), tikka masala, and garlic basil naan. The flavors and spices were very delicious. My fiancé adored every last bite. I found some of the chicken in our tikka to be over cooked, but otherwise everything was great. I'd recommend this spot for a yummy dinner.

Inside the restaurant there is a calming feeling as they were playing slow Hindu chanting music low on their sound system. The first server We began with was very young and maybe learning the menu still as he was really not that good at answering questions on the menu. As soon as we checked in on Yelp, suddenly service picked up. Another more experienced server brought us first, hand towels to wipe out hands (a nice touch, but the towels were almost cold when he brought them, was it an after thought?); and he also brought us complimentary cups of dal that were very tasty. The dishes we got were saag lamb, butter chicken, and organic channa masala, and garlic buttered Naan. Had our first server known how to describe menu better we may have chosen a few different items. He did recommend the butter chicken as one of his favorite so that's why we got it as we often enjoy it other places as well. It was very good, a classic with great sauce, probably the favorite dish. The saag lamb was good too, but we almost got the patak lamb, similar sounding dish but maybe creamier/ other veggie too? But our first server could not really describe difference well. I'm thinking we may have enjoyed the other dish better than saag lamb which was good, but felt the spinach was extremely over cooked, and so finely chopped almost like it was highly minced or powdered? But it was flavorful. The Channa Masala was on the dry side. We we're trying to decide on a saucy vegetable dish and we asked about this dish because we liked that it said organic. That same first server said it was saucy, but not that saucy. Each dish comes with your choice of white or brown rice, or steamed veggies. Two dishes we got brown rice with, and the third we got steamed veggies because we thought there would be more sauce overall to add them too. The rice was allot ( took quite a bit home); the veggies were this nice mix, but so boring with no taste, and what a waste. The veggies even had water floating in bottom of dish. It would be so much nicer if there were an option to have these lightly stirfried with a little flavor as an option ( they were completely bland) , and there was really not enough saucy stuff to add them to so only partially eaten, left remaining there on table instead of taking home with other stuff. We asked for a sample of their side sauces and we got a tiny (like a tablespoon each?) 3 dish sampling of their very tasty homemade mango sauce, tart and tangy cilantro mint sauce, and some sweeter tamarind sauce. But they were very tiny amounts. The Naan was light and crisp, very nice, but could barely taste garlic butter. We asked for our dishes to be medium heat and it was fairly mild for us still, but i guess with American palate, spicy can be relative. But oh well. We also had cups of chai (under $5.00) that had refills, and a glass of house white wine ( Murphy good Sauvignon Blanc was only $8.00 so that was a deal). I'm giving 4 stars for their efforts, but hope they read this so they can improve a few things.

The menu was extensive; I wished I had a bigger stomach to order more. After placing our order, the waitress offered us a complimentary soup. It was so yummy. You could hear our spoon scraping the bottom of the bowls. We started with chicken samosa. The order came with 2 large crispy, flaky, and delicious fried treats. The stuffing was well spiced. Remember that Ratatouille scene with the critic's flash back? This samosa did that for me. It transported me to my good friend's home where her aunties were in the kitchen making these pockets of culture and traditions. Highly recommend! I ordered the chicken biriani. It was flavorful. The rice was fluffy. The spice level was on target (I ordered mine medium heat). My daughter ordered the chicken curry. She loved it. She kept saying "This is yummy" the whole time. My husband ordered the lamb curry spice level spicy. It cleared his sinus headache :) apart from it being spicy it was also very tasty. We also ordered garlic naan: garlicky and fluffy. So nice to find a vegan restaurant not too far from home…read more I loved the easy menu style. Basically: do you want a small plate or a big plate? Soup? Dessert? Simple. Best part is all the food is delicious. We started with 2 bowls of mung bean w/ mixed vegetable soup. It was a true creamy soup, so I put my spoon down and drank it out of the bowl. Sorry manners? Then ordered 2 large plates of short grain brown rice, kidney beans w/ onion & garlic, baked yam, kabocha & butternut squash w/ garlic, collard greens and kale w/ shiitake mushroom sauce, and a mixed salad w/ basil lemon & agave dressing. Everything was very good. My favorites were the kidney beans, the yam combo, and the greens with the basil lemon dressing. We also got a Bahn Mi. Loved that it was really full. I don't like a skimpy Bahn Mi. For dessert, we took home slices of Coconut Pie, Chocolate Pie, Key Lime Pie, and the Himalaya Pie (layered with key lime, strawberries, coconut, and drizzled chocolate). My favorite was the Key Lime Pie -- tart and creamy. Then the Chocolate Pie, which was soft and indulgent. The Himalaya Pie was fun because every bite tasted a little different. The only one I didn't care for was the Coconut Pie because the texture was a bit hard from the coconut fat. One of the best things about this place is that they change things up based on what's seasonal. We travel with our dogs and called ahead to ask about outdoor seating. They don't officially have patio seating, but they kindly pulled a table outside for the two of us. They accommodate well-behaved dogs, and there was a great overhang for shade. We felt very comfortable sitting out there, so don't be shy about asking if you're traveling with your pooches. I briefly saw the inside and it was neat and well organized. I also saw someone bring their own container, which I loved. Definitely a spot we'll return to.

The pakoras were good as well and it came with a green sauce that had a good kick to it, however the pakoras did seem a little overcooked, almost like they may have been left in too long.
