i have been looking for a certain kia Stinger for months, now is a good time to get one with the incentives. Evergreen Kia was the first out of dozens of area Kia dealers to respond on a text and give me an actual price of the vehicle without the rebates and said they would negotiate too. Every other kia dealer I contacted had some crazy low price but wouldn't explain what rebates and incentives were applied. I dread car buying and all the tactics but I went to Evergreen because of the response they gave me about price. I waited an hour outside deciding if I would go in. Im glad I did. The staff was friendly and the hooked me up with Alfonso Ruiz. Alfonso pulled the stinger I wanted out of the showroom and let me test drive it on my own. I found although the car is fun it wasn't for me. I saw a 2020 Cadenza new on the lot and asked if I could test drive it? Alfonso got her ready and I drove and wound up buying it. I traded my car in on it too. It was the most straight forward process ever. they quoted a price and with a little negotiation got the price for my trade and the new car at a great rate that I was happy with No tricks , no gimmicks, no add on, or scams that other dealers pull. I got a good price would I like it to be cheaper sure who wouldn't? From Maurice Byrd, Alfonso and their great finance guy it was pretty straight forward with no pressure at all. Our credit is not that great and we understand that and are working to turn that around, but the salesman did not even try to do anything. I brought my car in for service for an issue they said they fixed, but after being gone from the location for about an hour, I noticed it was not fixed at all. When they returned the car to me, they had placed all kinds of advertisement on my car without my permission. It's disheartening to read the reviews of others who said the same thing. I wish I could give it zero stars. Worst car buying experience ever. Daniel Lorenz was every bit of sleazy, used car salesman that comes to mind when. I called about a used car I saw online, gave information and was told everything looked good and to come in. I went in and was told they couldn't finance the car I was already told I could get financing for over the phone. Daniel ran my credit report without telling me them asked me to double what I said I was willing to pay every month. After I told him no and he kept offering payments well above what I said, he told me they didn't have anything they could show me and didn't care, didn't even seem bothered that he had wasted my time and put an inquiry on my credit report lowering my credit score. He was rude, kept asking personal questions that weren't for the application and was very patronizing, I was extremely uncomfortable the whole time. Whatever you do, don't buy from here, don't even inquire. I took off work early to go see the car after I was reassured I wouldn't have a problem getting the car over the phone ahead of time. I brought a car from them in 2018 and when I say I have had the worst experience withe company. First my car engine goes out 1 month after a brought it. and stay in the shop for September to January because there became a recall on the engine. I had to pay for rental out of my own pocket and continue to pay car note. When I got my car back there orange peels in it and I am allergic to orange so obviously I know you left that in there. I had to get the inside detailed which lead to more money. The workers and owner are rude as hell. Every time I went up there to ask for a manager there was always a different person. Now, I have been trying to get the car serviced since Jan 2020 and still no luck. Oh, and there was a spare in my car before they kept it and just recently i got a flat and my spare was gone. One of the worst service departments ever. My Sorrento that I purchase from Evergreen Kia broke down I had it towed in for service found out there was complete engine failure. Now mind you I am covered under extended warranty and I should not have to pay anything but $100 deductible. Service manager refuse to do any work until I paid him $2,500 up front. Even though the warranty department has asked them to submit the work in order for them to make their approval or denial now John is only asking for the money upfront because people in the past have left their cars there and got repoed. read more

I have purchased two vehicles from this dealership. I am pleased with the vehicles but I must say they have a very high pressure sales staff which behaves in a very unprofessional manner. The financing section comes across as a bunch of shysters and tricksters . The service department at this location sucks. They are especially rude to women. When my wife brought in the vehicle for one of her lifetime oil changes she had made an appointment for 10. When she arrived she was told it would be an hour-and-a-half wait. when she complained the service manager was very rude and condescending. They have been calling me repeatedly about buying back my Sorento and getting me into a new vehicle. I have told them repeatedly I am not interested yet they continue to call. I have had bad experiences with this dealer 2x ; I swear I'll ever go back, due to their notorious practice of bait and switch. My husband and I are in the market for electric/hybrid cars and found a Kia Niro at a suburban location. As we were about to leave to go to other dealer, we get a cold call from Evergreen Kia-special sales event, requires special code, they could pull car cars from anywhere special financing, today only, blah blah. When we arrived , not one sales person knew what we were talking about, there were no electric/hybrid cars on the lot, and if we wanted one, we had to put down a deposit. First- Please do not ever buy a car from this dealership. They will find a way to scam you out of your money. I wish there was a way to give no stars to this place. My husband purchased a car from this dealership in February. He worked with salesman Nick and had spoken to him several times before making the purchase of the car. At the time my husband was driving a car whose lease was not up until November. Nick assured my husband that he would call the lease company and take care of the lease, so we could purchase the Kia. My husband decided to buy the Kia- he turned over the leased vehicle and the dealership said they would take care of it. At the end of April the lease company calls my husband to ask where his March payment is, he says the vehicle has been turned over to Kia and that they took care of the lease. After several phone calls we find out that Kia did not do what they were supposed to and now we are responsible for the rest of the payments on the leased vehicle and the new Kia. Plus the leased vehicle has been stored at a tow place and we had to pay $2600 to get the car back. We have spoken to the Kia dealership several times. Nick (the salesperson) first told my husband that Kia was supposed to take care of the lease and storage fees. Now Nick won't talk to us, he says we have to speak to the sales manager. The manager claims that they were never supposed to take the car. When we asked why did they take it and transfer they license plates over, the manager has no answer. The manager proceeded to tell us that the lease company is trying to scam us. That we should not pay the remaining payments at let them take the car as a repossession. When we said that was ridiculous because it would ruin our credit, the manager blatantly lied saying that it won't count against our credit. We are currently pursuing legal action but until then we are stuck with 2 car payments. Please do not consider purchasing a car at this dealership. Purchased my Kia Telluride November of 2019. One year after, the door guard/bumper guards on all of my doors chipped off and began to peel off. I contacted service dept for repair. I was deferred to parts. Then sent back to service, only to be told this is an "after market" item that could be replaced only on Fridays when a 3rd party sales rep comes in. I have been trying for months now to make an appointment to get the strips replaced. When I call I am always transferred from department to department, only then to be transferred to someone's voicemail box that is full. Disconnected every time. I love my SUV, however I will never contact Kia for help in any matter ever again. No one calls back, returns messages, or has any answers. I went to another Kia location in hopes to have the strips replaced and was told I would be charged for parts and services as that was not the original Kia dealership I purchased the vehicle from. Nothing should "fall off" a brand new vehicle at one year from purchase. If it does, the dealership should at least be accessible to help correct this matter. read more

The people who work in the service department are consistently rude and agitated by customers. We bought 2009 Kia Sedona minivan and had to take it in there six times now to get the sliding door fixed. You think this service department would be apologetic and try to make the customer happy, but all they kept saying is we will take a look at it. Maybe if they fixed it right the first time they wouldn't have to put up with us anymore, because it is very obvious that they do not enjoy dealing with customers. WARNING!! Bait & Switch SCAMMERS! Stay FAR AWAY from these guys! They post a great deal for a car online. I called three times to make sure they still had the car. I spoke to "BARB" and told her i'd be there at 7. She assured me the car was still there on the lot. I called an hour and a half before getting there at 7pm. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! When I get there, she tells me "oh shoot, you're gonna hate me but my co-worker just sold that car an hour ago. BUT, I have another car on the lot that is in your price range." She then leads us out into the dark over crowded lot to show us a JUNKER car that was blocked in, so you couldn't even drive it if you wanted to! It was horrible! Clearly a car that was direct from the Salvage junk yard. There was no way we were going to take that piece of junk. And just like any SCAMMER Used Car Dealer Crook, they refused to show us any CarFax or legit records on the car. She just kept stammering, 'Oh, we can uh, uh, get some details for you." But, when we pressed her for the CarFax on ANY of the junk cars she tried to push on us, she disappeared for awhile and came back telling us her "Manager" won't run the report unless we buy the car because it costs them $16 to run the report. TOTAL Scam! I took a picture of the VIN number and looked it up. We bought a 2011 Kia Sportage from Evergreen Kia and ended up with a great deal on a terrific car. They have a clean, easily assessable dealership with some really nice salespeople and management. We were particularly impressed with the sales manager, John Jager, who handled our problems in a professional manner. He has compassion for his customers and wants to please them so they come back again to buy another car. He has the Big Picture in mind and understands that customers are people, not merely numbers on a monthly sales report. Of course, this is the sign of an outstanding manager. I highly recommend Evergreen Kia based upon our experience with John Jager and we are very happy with our dealings with him. So I want to start off by saying that when I purchased my 2014 KIA Sportage I had very good experience.The salesman was jimmy I went with him because my aunt purchased her 2016 Sorento through him. He was easy going, didn't pressure me and I was out of the dealership within three hours. I got a good deal on my vehicle and my interest was fairly low. I was very pleased with my purchase as I wanted a fully loaded vehicle, I researched this car along with other cars that were similar and this car ended up being the winner. If i could give a split review the sales department would get 5 stars but the service department would get 0 Now on to the service department issue. So I've had my car for a little over a year and I opened my sunroof because that's what you do in Chicago when its sunny skies and warm. Problem is my sunroof wouldn't shut there wasn't anything on the track on near the sensor so I decided to take it in to evergreen KIA because there was rain in the forecast in the next few days. Walking up to the service desk this rather large man ( ED Denny) wouldn't even acknowledge me although he was on the phone with a customer there is a certain amount of customer service that could have been extended. He could have picked his head up smiled and said be right with you ma'am. Instead this rude human being acted as if i wasn't there. After he gets of the phone I explained the situation, he first tells me that there's a bunch of cars in front of me and there is no way he can get to my car that day. He then tells me after I tell him that its going to rain and can he at least just have someone look at it, that I have warranty if the inside gets rained on. Who says such ignorant stuff like that! I don't know if he has a problem with women, African Americans or just hate people and his job but hes is the worst service department employee. I have talked to several other people including my aunt and my neighbor about this experience and they both have had run-ins with this Homo Sapien and have less than desirable results. I do not recommend going to this service department go to orland kia thats who ended fixing my sun roof I had a defective track and Oscar and the rest of the department were the bomb.com it took a month to fix my car but they kept my car inside until they could get to it and gave me a really nice loaner. So I purchased a car in 2019 and summer of 2020 I took my car in for a oil change and because the service team did not close the oil lid tightly oil spilled all over my car, every light came on and my car locked. I called to get it towed and explained how my car was smoking really badly and stopped and locked on me and the service manager Brian told me he wouldn't be able to see about my car until a month or so. So I call Berwyn Kia and explained everything to them and they sent for my car. Once they inspected my car Tim Ward said basically I need a new motor or total the car because it will give me problems. So he call Kia Evergreen explained everything to them and they went and picked up my car and basically said Berwyn Kia is lying and my car just need oil. However, my car haven't drive the same since and I have been calling and calling and emailing trying to get them to fix my car but they been basically trying to cover their own behinds and basically sending me on a loop. I have referred multiple people to this location and I have tried everything in my power just to get them to just fixed my car but I'm at the point I think I need to call a lawyer for negligence. read more

I bought 2 cars in the same year from Evergreen. I purchased a Kia Sorrento for myself and an Optima for my wife. The vehicles are great and the purchasing process was actually quite pleasant. Buying a car can be very stressful but John the sales manger was awesome to deal with. Ed in the finance department went through the paperwork very thoroughly and quickly with me. I live almost an hour from the dealership and I still take the drive to bring both our cars in for service. Another John in the service department gives us the absolute best service when we stop in every few months for oil changes and routine maintenance. Great place! read more

This dealership deserves and negative star rating. I dropped my car off for a manufacture recall and engine swap. It was there for over a month for the repair. Upon receiving my car back after the repair it was dirty and completely covered in bird poop, issue number 1. After I walked around the car I noticed that someone had scratched my rims on one side from pulling up to close to a curb. I pulled the parts Manager John C. and had him take a look at the damage. After some back and forth he told me to prove that they did it and that there is no way his guys could have damaged my car. I asked to see the receipt of intake showing that the rims were damaged when the car arrived. Surprise, surprise the intake paperwork was not filled out to show what was damaged on the car upon receipt. I have made several attempts to reach the GM Kiko and have had no response. Brought my Kia soul here to get tire replaced. When I called and told Bryan (service) I needed a tire and I didn't have the locking lug nut key, he said he could get the nut off. Since I had called other Kia dealerships and they all time me they had master keys for Kia lugnuts, I presumed evergreen did, too. THEY DON'T! This must be the only KIA dealership that doesn't have its own set of KIA master lugnut keys. Not only did Bryan not tell me that he would have to CUT off the lugnut, he did not tell me that he was going to charge me $122 for the pleasure of cutting it off! (Evergreen would like all to know that they did cut the price to $61... joy) This is ridiculous. But, why disclose all the information up front and take the chance that a customer might choose to go somewhere else, when they can have you as a captive audience and then gouge you? I really wanted to be supportive of this place, but they don't play fair, and they don't have the KIA tools they should have. Mark my words, I will take this complaint to the head of KIA motors, and persist until my money is returned. It's a ploy. I wish I could give them less than 1 star. The service guy who assisted me today was horrible. I believe he got off on me being inconvenienced by the dealership having to keep my car for 4 days. I took my car in because the break fluid kept leaking out so I thought well maybe I need new breaks. Unbeknownst to me until I opened a letter, this was an issue Kia was addressing. So when John called me he told me the problem and the price. Me knowing nothing about cars he asked me who did my after market breaks I told him I didn't know that I would have to contact my brother because he was the one who looked under the hood to check the breaks or break fluid. I called my brother he said the breaks hadn't been touched. There was nothing wrong with my breaks. John claimed whoever did the breaks tore the line or cut it. (Keep in mind Kia sent out a letter regarding this issue) The car is a 2014 I got it last year fairly new maybe 6,000 miles. But hey what do I know. My problem was when he told me he had to keep my car until Tuesday. It's Friday. I asked about a loaner car we don't have one. I asked about a rental we aren't allowed to get rentals. I called another Kia dealership they had loaners and they also provided rentals if they would be keeping a car that many days. His service sucks. Will never take my car there again! read more

Yesterday I came into this Kia location in search for a nice new Kia. I was greeted and sat down with a salesman. Never once did he ask me my preference or what I was interested in. Never once did he show me anything Kia had to offer or any vehicles at all. But I still sat patiently thinking maybe after running my credit with a few banks then he would start talking about vehicles. The only thing the salesman was interested in was my personal life. Was I single, and if I was interested in dating him. Never once did we really talk about a vehicle that would be suitable or safe for me. He then told me my credit score and asked how much I could put down. Before I could even answer he said $1,000 down is cool? I said yes that's fine. He then talked to his manager. When he came back he told me $2500 is what I need. So I'm confused at this point because I still don't know what I need $2500 for. What vehicle are we referring to? What is the total cost of the vehicle? What is the monthly ? What are the interest rates? Why are you not communicating with me? He then said a 2015 Chevy Malibu but he doesn't know any of the answers to any of my other questions. How would you know I need $2500 down if you don't know the answers to any other questions I asked. You haven't even told me the color or mileage or anything about this 2015 Malibu. Most importantly we never discussed this car. I am at evergreen Kia because I clearly want a Kia. Not a Chevy. No offense to Chevy. So he then brung his manager to me because he said maybe he can talk to you and answer your questions. They explained to me that I need more money down to get anything else and that this Chevy Malibu was the best fit for me. That's fine I have $2500 to put down as well but I'm still lost on what I need $2500 towards. How would you all know what's best suitable for me when the entire time the salesman only talked about dating me. Now instead of giving me options you all are trying to force me into getting this Chevy Malibu without showing me anything else. The manager was getting really upset with me and aggressive. I then asked him why are you so upset and aggressive with me. I'm only asking for information. I'm sitting there calm ALONE , a 25 year old young lady. I felt threatened because of how tough he was talking to me. I simply asked him could he just show me what banks he ran my credit through so I could talk to them myself to see what options I have with financing a vehicle. He then told me he can't give me anything because other people's information is on his computer and he can't let me see that. So I asked could he print out whatever they did with my information today he denied me that as well. Sometimes it's best to have men or another person with you for this reason because they will try to pressure you into getting anything with no knowledge. But I have been down this road before and I won't ever make that mistake again. You won't give me anything ! This was a terrible experience for me but I won't give up hope. Worst car buying experience ever! I purchased a car from there last year and was told that I would get free oil changes for life... but they did not tell me that I would have to make an appointment months in advance in order to make an oil change! Every time I go go make an appointment they are "booked up". When I called there and talked to someone he told me "well we sell 1,000 cars per month and they all get free oil changes which makes it hard for us to see everyone" like that's a joke!!! They are terrible! They suck you in to make you think you will get a free oil change anytime! I will never purchase another car from them! Such a joke I hate this place! Then on top of that I went in there to try to purchase a new car and they tried to suck me into a $700 car note and they ran my credit without my permission! I told them my situation before hand and they told me "oh we can take care of you" and then they ran my credit without my permission and then had the nerve to tell me in a very sarcastic way "no matter what car you buy you are always gonna have a high car note" at this point I feel like coming up there standing outside all day turning all of their customers away! This is by far the worst dealership I have visited. I waited a while to post out of fear of retaliation. They DO NOT take care of their customers at all! The "deals" on their cars are horrible. They cheap fix any damage and within a month the cheap fix is gone. The treat African Americans horribly and act as if they get a kick out of screwing them around. I witnessed this and because I am white they figured I would laugh too. I did not. They also treat women as if they are stupid. If a woman knows her stuff then they basically brand her a b---- and then just deal with her. Never ever again. Also, their Better Business Bureau rating is horrible! read more

I had a great experience with Evergreen Kia. I met Harry and Dave first. Afterwards I met with Matthew and John. All four of them whether they were managers or sales consultants were professional and gracious. I had been in for about four hours on Saturday and needed additional paperwork and Matthew offered to pick me up so that I wouldn't have to take the bus back to the dealership. Before then Matthew made sure I had pizza to eat because we started that morning and it was past one. This was our first time at Evergreen Kia on S. Western. We have seen the ad online, and looked at all the good deals they offered and the warranty was very great. So we decided that it was time to buy a new car, after years of searching for good deals. The experience here was awesome and there was no pressure at all. We were welcomed by the door with a kind greeting by Dina M. She was very kind through the whole process and answered all of our questions about car buying. Funny to say this was mainly for my spouse... but we both end up getting two new cars. This is how it happened... long story short, after allot of research and questions. They finally checked his credit and it was great...he was approved for a new vehicle. So he finally made his decision. And well Congrats Babe on your new car...Love alwaysfrom your wife. Then they offer me to trade in my car? I was not sure at first because I had just bought my Toyota 2 years ago? And always made my payments on time, of course I had good credit, So they decided to look at my Toyota and offer to trade my car for a new Kia Optima? The difference that convinced me to getting the new car was...that it had all the options I actually wanted from interior to exterior. My Toyota was not optional and that time when I first got it and it was the only choice I had to choose from? Crazy to say I just needed a car at that time for work and school? So it was limited... I highly recommend never buy at a dealer where they just give you limits? Its plain ridiculous? I have learned my lessons...My Toyota is well maintained and in good condition. But not exactly what I wanted? So I finally made my mind and got my new Kia it is very Made for me and I love it!... the comfort and quality is amazing!!
