Last friday morning, I found a leak in my laundry room and the worst thing was my new tenants are supposed to move in the next day. I couldnt find any plumbers that I knew were available. We have hired Chris for a few projects over the past couple months and he has been professional and very helpful at every step of the way (inspecting our new home, and helping us fix some water heater items at our old house that we just sold). We had a major mainline blockage that required us to have an exterior clean-out installed in the front yard (a lot of these older homes just don't have one for some reason). Anyhow, the first quote I got from a company came it at $3k, and they claimed they were giving me a "great deal" because, I was a previous customer. That price didn't really jive with me, so I got Chris's contact info from a neighbor, and he was able to do what we needed for less than half of what the other guys quoted me and had everything up and running the afternoon after I reached out to him. He was also super friendly, and I'll for sure be reaching out to him shortly when we redo our master bath. High recommend! read more

It's not my preference to leave a bad review, but Chris Pelayo from Everlasting Plumbing has not followed through. I had Chris replace my water heater because the supply line broke and water flooded my room. The water heater was old so I also thought it would be good just to replace it. My plumber was busy and recommended Chris. Since he was responsive and came within a few hours to determine the problem and make a temp fix, I decided to use him. His estimates for drywall replacement, water restoration, and carpet repair were ridiculous so I didn't contract him for those services. The drywall didn't need replacement, I bought a fan to dry the carpet and drywall, and had my carpet guy replace the carpet pad at a faction of the cost. The damage wasn't enough to go through insurance. Chris replaced the water heater on Jan 28, 2019. He didn't put back on my water heater blanket because he said it was wet and needed to dry. I also had him cut out a piece of the drywall just to confirm it didn't need replacement. I asked him to reattach it before installing the new water heater and he said he would but forgot. He said he would come back in a few days to put back on my water heater blanket and drywall piece. Because he took them both, I couldn't do it myself. I was also going to have him install a drain from the water pan to outside the closet room. He didn't have the right parts to do the same day and we discussed him doing it when he came back and I would pay for that service then. When I didn't hear from Chris, I started with texts and no response. I called and he said his phone screen cracked and he didn't see my texts. We discussed him coming back and then I didn't hear from him. I tried calling again and left a message, but he didn't call back. I emailed and requested a refund to pay for the water heater blanket I now need to purchase and have installed and got no response. It's not right when contractors don't follow through. I didn't think to withhold a small payment for finishing the job because I trusted he would follow through. Note, I paid ~$1,800 for replacing my 40 gallon water heater; his services were not cheap. Looks like I'm out another $100 or so to finish the work. I would not recommend Chris because he didn't follow through. Lesson learned, make sure the contractor doesn't take your items in case he doesn't come back. read more
