Yay! We just completed our backyard transformation! We can finally enjoy our new Japanese Zen-style garden. We moved into this house in the spring and couldn't wait to redo the yard. Thanks to EVERLASTING, our dream came true in just six and a half weeks! Our old backyard was in desperate need of a refresh. Looking at the before pictures, you can see what a challenge it was: overgrown weeds choked the flagstone paths, dead leaves and debris were scattered everywhere, and the lawn was patchy and worn out. The old red brick patio and walkway also showed significant wear, especially near the house. Our biggest headache, though, was a serious drainage issue that caused rainwater to pool near the main house foundation and even flood into our ADU. Thankfully, EVERLASTING tackled this major engineering hurdle head-on. They re-leveled the entire yard, corrected the problematic slopes, and expertly installed hidden drainage lines to direct water safely away to a proper absorption area. Beyond fixing the underlying drainage, they completely transformed the disjointed space into a tranquil, beautifully executed Japanese Zen garden featuring clean-cut garden beds, defined walkways, and fresh new sod. From initial planning to the final touches, the team was professional, efficient, and proactive with communication. We are beyond excited for our new side yards! We decided to go with Everlasting Remodel is because Joe was able to draft up the design within the first 15minutes of the appointment. I had no inspo pic to show him but he drafted the exact design we were looking for. After we locked in the design and signed the contract it was smooth sailing. Our side yard are about 300 sq feet total and we decided to go with pavers and some river rocks on the side. The whole project took a little over 3 days and the workers are super considerate and left the work area clean before leaving. Joe kept us up to date through out the process with pictures and videos and again we are so happy with how it turned out. We noticed they really reinforce the pavers by adding a thin layer of concrete and some special sand to make sure these are not going anywhere. I got the pavers done last year May. Reason for it's so weed doesn't grow, so I don't have to pulls weeds. When pavers are done correctly, there shouldn't be any weeds that grows in between pavers and the edges. A year later after it rains, weeds started to grow on the pavers. Contacted Danny several times but seems like he didn't have time to fix it. I have proposed and given him several dates and until now, no confirmed date. June 30, 2025. We hired Dani and his team at Everlasting Remodel to transform our messy back yard into a more modern and roomy outdoor space. They had to remove over 250 concrete retaining blocks, break down an entire 8'x10' concrete slab (3,000 psi), lay artificial grass, improve the drainage for the grass, create a border around the grassy area, place plants and river rocks along the perimiter, and haul away tons of bushes, dirt, and rocks to complete the project. The quality of the materials, like the artificial grass and the blue stones were top notch, and Dani worked hard to help us achieve a price that fit our budget. We had a vision that we did not sketch out ahead of time, but Dani understood our vision. Becky often got excited and shared some ideas she wanted to add during the project.
