Honestly most the time I order from here the food is good enough. But recently I had a plate from…read morethis location that had a massive women hair in it. Didn't really enjoy pulling this long hair out of my mouth like a fish line from the ocean to see what I've caught. Now granted this is unavoidable as I have worked in the food and service industry for most of my life and know it happens. What made me write this review is the fact that the people who handled my food were not wearing hats, hairnets or having their hair pulled up above the neck and ears which is a OR health code violation. I know that it could have been the end of their night, and they were done nearly done with their shifts or whatever, BUT rules are rules for a reason. Good luck with your business and if you can take anything away from this review: please put your hair up while on the clock. Cheers,

I don't often stop at food trucks, especially if there is no seating, but made an exception to try…read morethe spam musubi here. It was good, the spam slice was a bit thin and it was in the middle of the rice cube instead of on top but the taste, there was a light teriyaki sauce, was excellent. Only one type of musubi is available. Ideally, it should have a pickled turnip next to the meat, but many places skip that. Musubi can be made with chicken and/or egg instead of spam and in Japan, salmon is most often used. Cute server, but of course that's not relevant.

Had a wonderful experience at my first time eating at Lucy's Taco Shop! I ate in their spotless…read moredining area (the restroom was immaculate too). They have a huge menu on display. There are 27 combo plates that include rice and refried beans. Most are bargain priced at $14.25 (only three were $17 for shrimp). I had a burrito bowl with carnitas. It was very tasty with a large portion of pork, pico de gallo, rice, refried beans, guacamole and sour cream topped with shredded lettuce and cheese. It was a lot to eat for $13. Portions are substantial and most patrons left with a box to take the remainder of their meals home. They have long hours from 7 am to 11 pm seven days a week. I noticed that they have an extensive breakfast menu too. Delivery of the food was very fast both for the dining in and drive-thru customers. One thing to note about their location. They're in the former Jack in the Box building on the corner of Cheryl Lane and Highway 99 across from the vacant Ray's Food Place in Phoenix. If you're driving from the south on Highway 99 you cannot cross the median to drive into the restaurant. You need to turn left at the light into the Ray's parking lot (or drive straight at the light into Ray's if coming from I-5), turn right and cross Cheryl Lane to get into their parking area or turn into the drive-thru for Lucy's Taco Shop. Leaving is back through the parking area to Cheryl Lane. Phoenix has a confusing interchange to get onto I-5. When you're leaving. drive past the Chevron station to turn left by the former Rite Aid to head towards the freeway entrances. Join Highway 99 in either direction from the light coming out of Ray's parking lot. It's worth the driving logistics the first time to get to Lucy's Taco Shop to support this family owned business. I know it won't be the last time I eat there!

We've been stuck on the East Coast for 15 years and I legit almost cried after my first bite of tamale - it tasted like home. Pro tip: get the half order of nachos unless you're trying to go into a food coma. We still crushed every last chip and were absolutely stuffed, but there was no way we were letting any of it go to waste.
