Some were large corporations and some smaller operations. Most estimates came in very close in price. To me price was not the number one factor, after reading reviews and talking to people in the industry, we chose to go with So Cal Custom Pools. I was very impressed with Jimi and how everything from start to finish was handled. Little things to me are important, like show up when you say you will, complete a job to the best of your ability. Jimi showed up every time when he said he would, the pool was completed on time and looks amazing. I would always know when someone was coming to the house, I received either a call of text prior to someone showing up. We started with demo, the demo crew removed all the old plaster, tile and cooping, when the crew was completed the yard was swept and cleaned after. Everything looked clean and the crew took pride in the work. Next we had the tile and coping installed. I did have 2 small change orders. I changed the water feature and had the tile guys do a little more work than was originally expected. This was the only increase to the pricing and everything else came out exactly as expected. Once the tile and coping were installed the pebble was installed. The crew showed up and completed this in the morning. As soon as the plaster was completed we started to fill the pool immediately. They schedule a service tech on a particular day each week. They test, add chemicals, skim pool, clean baskets and tiles, brush, and even vacuum. They even take a photo after they are done and email you a report. Great value for all the services! Our tech David is awesome. Super chill, hard working, and I love that he latches our gate softly when exiting (takes care of our property). Communication is great. We had a small leak in our tank. I emailed the office and Giana coordinated the fix. Awesome service! Yes, they have dedicated repair staff too. I wish I would have found this team years ago. Few month later, recently, my pool equipment was failing and my new pool guy (hired my neighbor's pool guy) could not fix and referred me out to a pool repairman who came and gave me an outrageous $700 quote. I called Kevin again and he told me right away I was being upcharged over 3x what's normal. He also discussed possible causes of my issues and knew right away what they could be. He was patient and honest. He had Lance come out and Lance was able to fix my issue and we discussed more pool equiptment issues which I never got around to fixing. Lance will be coming back soon to repair the rest. I really liked Lance! The company's pricing is fair and the company is honest.
