I went to Evoke based on the recommendation of one of my friends. I was terrified to try acupuncture as I have a fear of needles, but Neda instantly put my mind at ease. There is no pain associated with the process and she only does what you can handle - at this point I've done the needles and electric stimulation, and she's used moxa and a roller on me. There's plenty more that she can do (e.g., cupping), but this is all that I've needed so far. I have seen her nearly 30 times now and I am so glad. I've been seeing Alyssa every other week for about a year now after a co worker referred me to her and I can say she has truly changed my life. Shuqing Jing has helped me SO much. I came in for intense TMJ pain and since seeing her it hasn't been a problem. I come every other week and when I miss my appointment I can tell in my jaw pain. She is VERY kind and only does what is needed to help my ailments. No extra needles. I bought a package for my mom to come see her as well and she's helped her with joint pain and circulation. This review is for Laurel Coats. Both my daughter and I have been seeing Laurel for the last 5 months now, and I have to say, Laurel is amazing. She has a great calm and soothing presence. She is very attentive and consistently checks in to make sure you are comfortable and offers whatever support you might benefit from. When we started, I was a bit hesitant for my daughter because she's only 16, so I wasn't sure how she would respond to Laural, but Laural has been great in developing a rapport with her and making a connection. For myself, Laurel has been integral in helping me focus in on my care. One of the physical issues I've been struggling with is neck and shoulder pain, which has also been tied into dull headaches. The acupuncture has been great and sometimes Laurel has recommended cupping which was fantastic. You won't find a better provider in the South Bay! read more

I'm so glad that I found Evoke when I started a series of fertility treatments. Neda and Jing have helped me navigate through multiple cycles of treatment with both acupuncture treatments and their expertise. With their help, I've had multiple successful retrievals, and I am looking forward to the next steps! Neda and her team are always caring and supportive. They customized treatment plans based on my physical conditions at the time and the procedures that I was going through. They also helped advise on diet and lifestyle , customize treatment plans to optimize the results for the procedures. And oftentimes went above and beyond to help interpret and analyze the medical progress/results (i.e., blood test and medical results) and provided supplemental information so that I would better understand what was going. In these procedures, there're a bit that one would have to manage on their own, including understanding the medical instructions and optimizing body conditions. I found that I could better follow the medical plan/instructions if I understood them better. After having chronic neck pain for many years my new primary care doctor recommended I try acupuncture. I have been going here for about a year now, seeing Alyssa. She has been amazing! My neck pain is gone except for rare days where I am doing strenuous activity with poor posture. Now I am going for sinus problems/allergies, stress, and poor circulation in my ankles. I can't say enough good things about Evoke (Olivia Baker specifically). I started coming about a year ago when my husband and I started trying to conceive. Olivia specializes every treatment based on what day I am in in my menstrual cycle. Through acupuncture, heat therapy and Chinese herbs I went from having painful periods to normal/hardly noticeable ones and very regular cycles. BEWARE. IF YOU HAVE BLUE SHIELD OF CALIFORNIA, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I had the WORST experience trying to use my insurance. I was told that Evoke was in-network with my insurance after they verified and it wasn't until I had my first appointment that they tell me I have to submit the claim myself for reimbursement (that should have been the first flag). I tried submitting to Blue Shield and was told that I need to go through ASH (American Specialty Health) because all acupuncture services through Blue Shield run through this insurance provider. ASH says that Evoke should submit directly, Evoke says I should submit directly, I finally MAIL (because they don't except claims online) and I've only been given one check from ASH and it's only 7% of what I paid for with Evoke even though they said they were in-network. Do not use this place if you are trying to use insurance with Blue Shield. They lied about their coverage with this insurance carrier. Response after comment from owner: I disagree. Evoke should have been honest PRIOR to my fist appointment that I needed to submit my own bill for reimbursement. You probably knew that I would only get 7% reimbursement and you not sharing that and charging me what you did knowing that the insurance would cover so little is awful business practice and VERY SHADY. If you look at the email are referencing (no idea why you're sharing the specific reference number as I feel like that is a violation) you can see I had to specifically ask the receptionist to help after the back and forth. I'm sure people that pay cash they will have no issues here but I'm warning people that use insurance because your company has no idea how to handle them properly and if I didn't listen to your company about being in network then I could have gone somewhere else that was more cost effective for cash patients. I'm a single woman that needed help on my fertility journey and you added more stress and loss of money so i want to warn people of businesses like yours. read more

I started seeing Jing because the acupuncturist I used to goto no longer took my insurance. I was very disappointed because the acupuncturist I used to go to was amazing and I really liked her. Well, I know I am lucky in terms of meeting amazing people in my life and it turned out that I was lucky in meeting another amazing acupuncturist, Jing at Evoke. I saw Jing through my third IVF egg retrieval and my first embryo transfer (which resulted in my first baby!). She always created relaxing atmosphere and gave me through explanations of what each acupuncture points were about (I was curious so asked about it sometimes) and what she was doing for me. She didn't only support me through acupuncture but also provided me with lots of emotional support that I truly looked forward to seeing her weekly not only for acupuncture but simply to meet her. She also shared lots of her knowledge with me through my IVF procedures as well as my pregnancy. In fact, she gave me way more educational information and support than my OBGYN did when I was pregnant. I was so lost and confused with my pregnancy symptoms as a first time mom and I don't know how I would've gone through this period without her support. I had so many people's support to have this baby (the cutest and most adorable human being I've seen btw) and Jing's support was a big one. I've gone to a few acupuncturists before finding Evoke Acupuncture and I wasn't really sure it it was helping. However, I was really determined to find a more natural solution that would help with my Endometriosis pain and fertility. I contacted Evoke and was paired with Laurel. Best.match.ever!!! Laurel takes the time to listen to you and come up with a plan. From previous experiences there was no plan, I wold just go in and get treatment and take herbs that they give me. No explanation as to what it's for, just "its to get you pregnant." Hmm oook.... With Laurel, it's so different. We came up with a plan, she has given me herbs to take and explained to me what they are for. I love how she takes notes and continues to update my treatment plan as time goes. She has introduced me to the moxa treatment, which has helped so much. After two months of going once a week, my Endo pain has gotten better. It's not completely gone but instead of taking 8 ibuprofens, it has gone down to 4 or even 2. Amazing!! The office is so tranquil and clean and Kayla is so nice!
