This is what they call a meatball sandwich, not one drop of Mariana on It , total bs .

I order a meatball sandwich on garlic bread with sweet peppers to go and they didn't put any red sauce on iit.How the hell do you forget that.

It was my first time here on Friday and let me tell you it was definitely not my last! The traditional pizza was out of this world! The food is Salerno's which is very tasty! Our service was great as well. I loved that they had a band as well. It is hard to find places these days with live bands. Only thing I would recommend is having a hosts stand in the front so people are crowding around the front confused on where to sit and avoid waiting in a line.

I can't believe I'm saying this but The fried calamari was some of the best I've had. Amanda was our server and was very very attentive and fast with our food and drink (on a super busy night none the less) excellent service. The music was great too! They had this DJ named Ronnie who kicked ass with the music selection (hope he's the in house DJ) I will be back! And with friends!!

This place clearly caters to its locals and regulars. If you're here to pick up food itll be burnt but edible. At least theyre open late. Also pickup is in the back of where google tells you to go. The resturant isnt in the front for pickup you gotta go alllllll the way around. At least according to the wrinkly bag of bones bartender gestured me to do because the resturant is a separate entity. Either that or the front isnt the entrance for black people. Either way. Yeah come here and enjoy crispy food in all its forms. Burnt , over fried, and extra dried. At least the pickle and the to go boxes were fresh.

My husband and I came here recently after leaving the Morton Arboretum, and we had a pretty good experience, but it was nothing special, in my opinion. When we walked in, I liked the ambiance. It was bright from having many windows, and I liked the mix of brick, stone, and wood details on the walls. I'm also a sucker for places that have garage-like windows that open all the way up. When we sat down, our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed because she was one of two waitresses helping customers inside and outside. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded, but she didn't seem like she wanted to be there; she wasn't very personable. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my Blue Moon I ordered, which was a bit annoying, but I was very thankful I ordered water too because my husband and I got those right away. Foodwise, I ordered an Italian Sausage and Beef Combo Sandwich ($13) and my husband ordered a Cobb Salad ($15). My sandwich was okay, and it hit the spot because it took a while for it to come out, but the bread tasted a bit hard, so I ended up eating the meat inside by itself. The Italian sausage was cooked perfectly and was full of flavors and spices, but the beef was subpar and bland. I wish I had asked for au jus on the side because I think everything just needed to be drowned in gravy to make it a bit more flavorful. My husband's salad was okay, but I tried a piece of his chicken, and it had no seasonings on it. It was so plain and kinda gross, in my opinion. He also ordered his salad with caesar dressing instead of their homemade vinaigrette, but it didn't taste or look like caesar. He asked to make sure it was correct and our waitress confirmed that it was corrected. He didn't mind, but we both agreed it wasn't the best salad he ever ordered. Overall, I would give this place another try and order either pizza or a calzone because it seems that everyone raves about those more than anything else here.

Livin evviva loco! ! If you want your boots or shoes to start stomping and mouth to start drooling this is the place to go. As a Salerno chain, Evviva is a lively and classic bar , they always have live music and events going on (live bingo on Tuesday's at 6:00), just look up the website for for info, but that's besides the point, your mouth will water once you smell the original pizza! The chicken tenders will think they had the chickens clucking in the back tasting so fresh and crisp! I have come here many of times, this is definitely the place to hang with friends or family. My daughter loves this place! Just be prepared this place can get exciting with loud music and drinks pouring! Also I have the greatest waiter always so respectful and knowledgeable. On the last side note, the majority of the things you will order here is made from scratch, so that makes it original and authentic to me, and is not just a bar food place it's an original flavor. Chef's kiss !

We spilt the NWB Trio appetizer which was a selection of hummus, olive tapenade and corn guacamole, fresh veggies and grilled pita. Definitely big enough for 4 people. Their menu offers Mac n cheese, Gourmet Burgers,Wraps,Sandwiches and Salads. I had the NWB Burger which was an 8 oz burger topped with pork belly, cheese curds, whiskey bbq sauce on a pretzel bun. Absolutely delicious! My wife had The Gobbler (GF) with a Turkey burger, avocado, goat cheese, roasted red pepper sauce on a GF bun. She loved it and they only charged an extra 1.00 for the GF bun. Portions are huge and the food is very good. We will definitely be back!

For $10 this is a great deal. The burger was juicy and delicious. The sauce on the burger goes very well with it and the bun is buttery, very good. The fries? Meh, they were pretty bland and stale.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS…read more This dive bar in Lisle is a haven for townies, which is certainly a vibe. Maple Ave Pub is, unsurprisingly, on Maple Ave just west of Route 53 in the western suburbs of Chicago. I'd estimate I've stopped here close to a dozen times, although a handful of those instances I neglected to check-in on Yelp for fear of my wife seeing it ("I thought you were coming straight home from work....") An older woman's been behind the counter seemingly every time, taking drink orders and making small talk. She's friendly--moreso with the locals than with me--and I'll occasionally get called 'hun', 'sweetie', etc, which is endearing. I got way better service from the hot tattooed barkeeps at Brauer House in Lombard, however. To be perfectly honest, I've never eaten anything here. The wings look like they might pass muster, though there's a few items that raise an eyebrow (clam chowder at a dive bar? thanks, I'll pass). Possum Pub in Melrose Park had surprisingly good food, and it was a major dive, so perhaps I ought to give the grub here a shot sometime. They have several pool tables, a Big Buck Hunter, Golden Tee, dart board, boxing machine, and pair of pinball machines; as of 6/19/24 they've got a Star Trek premium (Stern, 2013) and JAWS (Stern, 2024). In the past they had Oktoberfest (American Pinball, 2018), Fish Tales (Williams, 1992), and a stunning Circus Voltaire (Bally, 1997). Last week, the A/C wasn't working so this place was SWELTERING on one of the hottest days of the year. Normally I stick around for a couple pints and 2-3 games of pinball, but it was so toasty inside (worse than outside) I only played 1 game and skipped the beer completely. There were no fans on, either. * TL;DR * Dive bars are all well and good, but maybe it's time I found a new spot to hit up for a cheap domestic pint. Over the years I've gotten a handful of looks that can be described as quizzical at best, and dirty at worst. I've been ignored by the bartender numerous times--with cash in hand, mind you--while she's chatting away with regulars, as I'm standing there absolutely parched. I want to like Maple Ave Pub, but the feeling doesn't seem mutual. If it weren't for the pinball tables, I probably wouldn't return.

It tastes great if you use a pizza stone. The pizza on the other hand, I was underwhelmed. I ate it when it was fresh as well as on the pizza stone. The crust is bland and tasteless.
