I ate here twice in the past few times, and loved it: Jalapeno burger (lunch): A half pound of flavorful beef, served with delicious hot crunchy fries. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, as ordered. Pizza (Monday happy hour, half price): my dad wanted a thin crust, and wished he would have ordered a traditional crust, which he had here a week ago. The crust and cheese were a bit chewy, but the toppings (sausage and mushroom) were tasty and generous. I've gone to Evviva a lot of the years. It was one of my favorite local places. The food's good and the service is ok. The new convenience fee that shows up on the bill for no apparent reason doesn't sit well with me though....especially since I paid cash. There was no mention of the new fee from the server. I was never asked if I was paying by cash or card...there was just a "convenience fee" on the bill. Not a fan of random charges like this. They in no way made my life any more convenient so not sure what the charge was for. read more

Chicago style pizza was good. Steak sandwich was pathetic. Not cooked as asked, supposedly with "everything" on it, there were a spattering of shrooms and what appeared to be a teaspoon worth of crumpled onion crisps. It was dry. Wait staff was great. This place is a hidden gem. I guess hidden to me as Ive never been here before. Went with a buddy to half-price pizza night on Mondays. Had a great time! They have beer from their brewery, Fat Tony, which is fantastic. Evviva serves pizza made by the Salerno's so you know its good! The menu looks amazing, I'll be sure to try something different the next time I come here. The staff and service are great, prices are good, there is plenty of parking available and they have a patio. There are plenty of tv's for watching games. We ordered a pizza and wings for carryout at noon on Saturday, the restaurant had just opened. We were told it would be 20-30 minutes. We had just gone to the Farmers Market and walked over to Evviva. We went back and got our car and came back 20 minutes later. The server apologized as she got busy and just put the order in (not sure how busy she got when there were only 2 tables occupied). We waited, and waited. Finally, the pizza came out and we asked where the wings were. We were told they would be out shortly. Our pizza sat on the bar, getting cold for another 10 minutes before the wings came out. It was almost an hour. We asked for the owner and were told he was hardly ever in the restaurant. Maybe he should be. The food was decent but we will not go back. read more

Tried to place an online order and there was a surcharge added. The total order with the surcharge was $25.05. I didn't want to pay a surcharge so I called my order in. I was surprised to find out the exact same order was now over $27.75. I asked why it was a different price. "Not sure an online discount " was the response. The person on the phone needed a manager to approve me canceling my order. I canceled my phone in order and ordered someplace else where they don't have multiple prices depending on how you place an order. What a shame read more

I've only had the pizza, but its pretty good, quick, & usually friendly drivers. They're in my neighborhood so the pizza usually arrives before the time they state. I will never ever set foot in this place ever again! I've been here many times and never had a problem. Their food has aLways been.. ok but I've ordered their pizza many years Ago and thought I've Give that a whirl. I went here for a friends birthday. We all ordered our food I told our waitress I'd like a small buffalo pizza with no celery or onions. She told us the bar was backed up so it May take a bit, which was fine with all of us. My friends had all gotten their food and was waiting for my pizza but I told Them go ahead and eat while it's still hot . They were done eating when my pizza finally came. When I looked at the menu I saw small, medium, Large, and I think there was an extra large. I didn't see the sizes in inches . That being said when it finally came I looked at it and said to my friend , wow this is a small I'd like to see what the large looks like, and we laughed about it. It was busy in there and our waitress was very busy and we waited with empty glasses but it was understandable that she wasn't checking in constantly. Our bills came and they charged me $32 for a LARGE pizza . Thought it was no big deal I told our waitress and she said, omg you said small! Next thing I know the OWNER came up to me with his shitty attitude , didn't even say excuse me, Just came up and said " umm did you think that pizza was a small"? I said , excuse me?!! He said, you really thought that was a small and didn't call your server over to tell her it was a large. Oh I'm sorry I don't work here I don't know what size your pizzas are and what they look like. I told him, I didn't know this was not a small it's busy in here I couldn't flag down our waitress for even water, and I'm sorry but all of my friends are done eating and I didn't even get my food yet so yes I was going to eat this pizza. He then walked away from me!!!! I was PISSED when I found out from our waitress that he was the owner and that's how he talked to his customers. If there was a problem with the size of the pizza he should take it up with the waitress and not go and attack the customer. Our waitress apologized and said she must've not heard me it is loud in there and both of us understood neither of us pointed the finger at each other. I told her i'm sorry if she got yelled that and used some very... bad words to describe the owner and how dare him talk to me that way. She corrected the bill and it was $17 free small pizza. I even left her a $10 tip because I know he yelled at her for it. He is a jerk and a horrible businessman. Never going there again. It always seems to be busy in that place but I guess he's hurting for money and feels the need to yell at his customers over a lousy $15 difference. Very pathetic. read more

We went there after the illumination at Morton arboretum. We got a table right away. We were approached by the waitresses in a timely manner. We ordered the fried calamari and fettuccine with oil and garlic. The calamari was so-so. A little chewy and a smaller order than what we have had in the past in other places. The fettuccine was TERRIBLE! The noodles were overcooked and the dish was more like a soup. Had a gritty taste. While we were eating we were asked if we could move to another table because a party that called for a party of 8 was not accommodated. We were almost done anyways but thats never happened to me before. The ambiance was good and the place was full. Maybe we just had a bad meal as the place was full. I'm giving this place one star for a few reasons 1) the service was terrible. We waited 45 mins for our food, which is crazy since the place was fairly empty and we ordered 2 paninis and a turkey burger. 2) my turkey burger tasted like rubber and had no flavor. I think it may have been one of those frozen patties. It tasted like they heated it up in the microwave. My salad was 99% iceberg lettuce. The paninis were mediocre--I could have made a better one at home. 3) we sat outside and every 10-15 minutes a freight train went by and we had to stop our conversation. 4) the place generally looked dumpy. read more

My company called Evviva to order pizzas for a back to work event for 40 people. We asked to have them ready for 11:30 am. The manager told us they couldn't do it because they "don't open until 11:30". We explained we'd be hosting future work events and are less than a mile away looking for a "go to catering option". He told us the best he could do was 12 or 12:15. Instead we called Al's Pizza, who just bought Skuttlebutts and made the same request. Apparently Al's has been in Riverside for 30 years but is expanding west. The owner showed up with our pizzas and brought some catering menus, anxious to establish our business. As frustrating as the pandemic has been for everyone, the most disappointing part to me is how it's vaporized the American drive that used to be 100% universal. Fortunately, there are still pockets of hungry entrepreneurs, just not on Front St. In Lisle. read more

I absolutely love the food at this place. Always consistent. Always good. HOWEVER their servers are AWFUL. I've been coming here for years and only 2-3 servers here I would trust with my dining experience. Tonight I asked a server about their gluten free pizza and I asked if it was cauliflower. She goes 'I don't know'. I then asked if their ranch was gluten free or if she could check and she goes 'I don't know'. No 'I'm not sure let me check for you'. She just stood there and kept saying 'I don't know' over and over. For people who have gluten allergies, who literally cannot eat gluten, you should at least attempt to see if your products have them. I was super annoyed that she could care less and didn't even bother to check for us, however the server is like this every time I have her. Besides this night servers are inconsistent, inattentive, care more about taking shots with the men at the bar then the other tables, and are so slow. I've been coming in here for years, and I have to say the place has remained consistently good. We come in about once a month for food, and I will occasionally have a drink after getting off the train. Servers are always nice and the food is always great. It's a super popular place after the Metra rush hour (located next to the train station) so keep it in mind. I've never had to wait for a table and for that matter, patio seating is almost always open. Burgers and salads are really good. They're owned by Salerno's, so the pizza is always good. We've actually had the pizza delivered to the Lisle Water Park and it's as good delivered as it is when you eat in. Someone complained about service- I've found the servers to be pretty good. Overall this is a 4 star kind of place. It's reasonably priced for Lisle and they have a good atmosphere. read more

After seeing this place featured on Chicago's Best, we knew we had to come try the Evviva pizza (chicken, bacon, artichokes, and olives). So after a frustrating morning of shopping we stopped in. For drinks, we weren't in the mood for beer so we chose Bloody Mary's. They are 25 ounces, and are $9 with $7 refills; I can dig that. On Sundays they have a "Build your own Bloody Mary Bar" but our server never elaborated when we placed our drink order. After deciding to skip appetizers, we ordered a large Evviva pizza and waited anxiously to taste deliciousness. The inside of Evviva is your typical sports bar- multiple flat screen t.v.'s, a Touch Tunes music player, and a combo of both low and high-top tables. It obviously is decorated for Christmas with lights strung around the ventilation system and mini Christmas trees hung upside down from the ceiling. The Bloody Mary's are very spicy, which is awesome. Between the pizza and the Bloody's (I had two) I left with a serious case of heartburn, which is was fine with me. It was well worth it. The Evviva pizza was phenomenal. Who knew artichokes would go so well on a pizza? And of course, you can't beat black olives and bacon. The chicken was exceptional; the flavor was so good. I don't know what they seasoned it with, but it was very tasty. The pizza crust itself is like nothing I've ever experienced. Crispy, but not too crispy and chewy but not too chewy. For a Sunday, it was fairly quiet (we arrived at noon when they opened) but our service was a bit spotty. It wasn't a huge issue, as we were in no hurry. I can imagine during peak times it can be frustrating. Today was an enjoyable experience between a small crowd (less than 15 patrons), football games, and country music (my fave) playing throughout the speakers. Regardless, we will be back. I want to like this place... but after trying it 5 x or so, I just don't think I can. I want to say "it's me, not them", but I think it's them. Now don't get me wrong, lunch is 50% off, for that price I can occasionally deal with the slow SLOW service and indifferent attitudes of the staff. But anything other than lunch, it's not a good experience at full price. An typical example would be last night, I seat myself outside and sit 15 min before the staff notices I'm there. The waitress acted as if she had never heard of the beer I ordered, even though it was on the menu. She even brought me the bottle and asked me if it was the right one. I guess no one has ever pronounced "Hacker Pschorr weiss" properly in this bar so the staff doesn't know that's the beer I want. We ordered the thin crust tomato cheese pizza... it was... bad... no flavor at all. After raiding their cart of spices, we made it edible by dousing it in Olive oil and pepper. The cheese on the pizza had no pieces of spice anywhere. for 20 bucks, I really was expecting tasty pizza, but no. In the middle of dinner, workers decided to start drilling into the building. They were putting up 4 TVs. Why can't this wait till you don't have 10 + people on your patio? In general, the parking is a PITA, the service slow and indifferent, the food just ok. And it's noisy than a coffee can of angry hornets inside in the bar. With the occasional train and now the TVs outside, the hornets will now be outside too. I recommend you take a pass. read more

This is one of our favorite places. The have good food and great specials (for both food AND drink)- look them up online because there are seriously too many for me to mention. I generally get the panini's, either the Classico or the Italiano, or a burger, either the All American or the Burger. You can get sandwiches either with fries or a side salad. I also like the Cobb Salad, or the very yummy Breaded Ravioli for an appetizer. They are known for their pizza, which I have never had but need to try because a friend tells me it is great. Plus they have a wide range of dinners. Add to this the occasional live music performance and you have an all around great place. read more

I've been here a couple times over the years and enjoyed their by the slice pizza at the annual block party more than food inside the restaurant. It's decent, but is a bar with tables jammed together that is really loud, which is a combination of bad acoustics (open joist space) and patrons yelling over each other. Music came and went, then a Hawks game came on and no game or music, so we were entertained by "fascinating" conversations of our fellow patrons on all sides of us. Food was just o.k. I had a burger with blue cheese crumbles and a side salad which came 5 minutes after my burger. My wife's entrée salad was just o.k. as well. The toasted ravioli appetizer was not worth the money or calories. The filling was not good or flavorful at all. We've tried to go occasionally through the years, but there is usually a wait to get a table and no where to sit to wait. It's a bar that happens to serve food, and that's fine. read more

I passed this place on my birthday thinking it was too expensive. I was wrong in the best possible way. Perfectly divey on the inside, this bar/restaurant has wonderful specials (at least during the day) and delicious food. My seafood loving friend said it was a unique grilled calamari that happened to be the best calamari she's ever had. I heard great things about this bar/restaurant so we tried it on Friday night. We wanted to sit on the patio so we sat down and asked a server if we could sit anywhere. The sever said "yea I'll find a a server"...then we sat there for 10 minutes and never saw a server. We thought about leaving but still wanted pizza so we decided to try a table inside. We found two seats available at the bar. The bartender served the beer and we placed an order for a pizza. We really enjoyed the Evviva Pizza. It was hot and full of flavor. Met some friends there for dinner on a Friday Night. They have been to Evviva several times but it was our first time. We sat on the patio which is spacious with a great atmosphere. Though the trains that pulled in the station across the street made conversation a little tough at times. Our server was very busy (a sign of the times) as they were a bit understaffed. She worked hard, was very good at her job, and provided us with very good service all things considered. We ordered pizza with their traditional crust. The toppings were very generous and they tasted very good. I would have liked a little more sauce. The evening was topped off with live entertainment (Echo and Ransom). Great night, good food, and good entertainment...what else can you ask for. We will be back. read more

We used a restaurant.com certificate to check this place out. We did not have any drinks, just food. The food was quite good - a hearty and large chicken tuscan panini for $7, and a piping hot and cheesy traditional medium sausage and mushroom pizza for $14.50. Pizza took about 30 minutes. It looks to be a nice place to have a beer and some pub food, or to watch a ball game. May be back for such someday. It's right across the street from the Lisle train station. Server was friendly and attentive, and I'm not sure she was typical of what was coincidentally and recently observed by Candice(!). read more
