This company was referred to me and I received an estimate for a repair that was provided by them as a flat fee (not even sure why they came to look at it) and it was OVER DOUBLE the cost of a local plumber. It appears they are a bigger company (ie bigger overhead) that does a lot of insurance work, so probably why they were much more expensive. The local plumber I used has been great with his costs, communication and work product. I assume Henco does good work, but I'd suggest you get a second estimate before hiring them. read more

I am a senior with a disability I had a moen shower cartridge fail and could not turn off the water in our shower . I contacted Forbes plumbing who we had worked with for years only to find they had been bought out by Henco Plumbing . Because they had a file for us our experience with Forbes and it was a small scale emergency I had Henco out but not on an emergency basis just the next day They showed up and came up with a $ 2300 "best option " or a $610 good option. Simple shut off valve replacement under sink to dishwasher. First window 8-10am no show (plumber didn't come to work) Second window 10-2pm. No one showed or called so I called them. Plumber showed up late but I had to scramble to have someone pick up my kindergartner from school. Less than half-hour job with $10 part was $450. if time permits, find a more dependable company. This service was recommended by another trade professional. The intake was smooth and service was available in a timely manner. I was told there would be a charge of $129 for the technician to come out but it would not be charged if I had the work done. It isn't a rebate - it is just waived. I made sure they put that in writing before the visit to eliminate any misunderstanding with a verbal, as another reviewer stated. This was a very simple R&R of a garbage disposal. The job took one hour. My sink was completely open with no cabinet below. I had prepared floor protection for the technician. I was apprised of the arrival time. The technician, Josh, was very polite and respectful. I have a problem with how this company does business. From reading the other reviews here, I see that my impression of their business practices is shared by others. There is no reason they could not have told me on the phone what they charge for this simple repair. I trusted that the amount would be reasonable and fair given the stellar experience I had with the other trade professional that recommended them. There was nothing to "evaluate" on site. When the technician looked up on his ipad the pre-published list of charges - (nothing unique to my job - just a simple "replace customers garbage disposal supplied by customer" as it said) they wanted a whopping $434 for this work. I was shocked. After I expressed my dismay (and never before that) the technician offered me a first time customer $50 discount coupon, which he also looked up on his ipad. Even for $385 I felt ripped off. The price I paid was not commensurate for the work that was done. I complained about the exhorbitant charge via email after the visit, and via text to the technician when he asked me to review the work. When I got no response, I then called two days later to speak with management. I was told both the General manager, Wesley, and the Operations manager, Drew, were both in meetings and would call me back. Instead, a few hours later I got a call back from someone named Penelope who did nothing to address my complaints other than to state obvious facts like I agreed to pay the fee before the work was done, and that they gave me a new customer discount--facts I did not dispute--she did not care one bit that I was disappointed in the price I paid and wanted a partial refund that would be more fair. I did not argue that I agreed at the time to the charges. They have you on the spot--needing work done and I don't think anyone would be interested in paying $129 for nothing, and being stuck spending more for the work to be done by others. It feels like a trap. She repeated the facts multiple times after I continued to tell her the practice of withholding this information until seeing the job felt really dishonest and slimy. I will not do business with this company again. They tried to convince me to get a "free" furnace inspection, but no way would I let them into my home again to try to sell me a furnace that I don't need. To their credit, the tech told me about a liquid cleaner for the shower drain that would save me another several hundred dollar expense of having the drain snaked. For that I am grateful. But I feel this company price gouges and I will never agree to this method of pricing a service like this without any parameters set before the work is scheduled. Other trades provide an hourly cost before they come out. I should have hired that type of trade for this job. read more

Chris came out and again it was a quick fix, since he was at my house before and already knew what to look for. Chris is awesome, super nice, easy to work with and fixed my issue quickly. The tech was a nice guy. The scheduler told me the service call would be $129.00, and if I decided to have them do the work the $129.00 would be taken off the bill. The tech told me that was incorrect. He called his supervisor and was told he couldn't subtract it. I called the scheduler on speaker phone with the tech standing next to me. She stated they would take the $129.00 off the bill once the work was done. That never happened. I would never use them again. read more

Planned to do just a water heater replacement but then Mr Freeze came and burst a water pipe inside the house (garage). Ugh. Changed the wh install-only to install AND pipe replacement. Once I got ahold of a scheduler (next business day after getting their answering service) Dillon and Dean came out, arriving on time. Requested repair of simple 1/2 inch copper water line which had frozen during recent cold-aggedon at our Portland house here in SW Hills. The charges were horrendously inflated and no estimate was provided prior to repair. The cost for this simple fix? 1700.oo. The quality of the repair, so far as we can see, was adequate but hardly worth a mortgage payment. The tech was as nice a person as possible and worked quickly and competently and we gave him cookies for his children after the work was completed. The problem is being addressed by the Oregon DOJ with a c/o "price gouging". I believe that this company took advantage of the situation by a ridiculous overcharge [which was not justified by any mention in the "paperwork". My advice? i dont recommend this place. the person who came out for estimate is not the same person doing the work. asked to have this done in asap ( 2 weeks at most ) heard yes sure we have a crew .. took almost a month the job is not complete . the 11,000 dollars is apparently only a rough in .. what the heck is that crap. i ask to have the job completed for full service not closed of pipes.. they threw away my new shower and hand held cut the electrical wire , no light to half the house all day and night . had to keep calling them to come in and finish the job , what is supposed to be an 8 hr job became 3 weeks .. never again . i should have went with a cheaper company.. i thought im paying more for better service .. haha stupid me , no more .. if i could i would remove all the stars and do negative .. good luck call dudes in flannel instead.!! read more

We used Henco plumbing to come to our house to assess our toilet. We were charged at the time of service on our credit card for the $89 fee back in OCTOBER of 2022. Now, in July we have received a phone call stating they have never received payment and we need to pay. I let the lady on the phone know I want to go through my bank statements and I would like to get back to her because my husband has been in the hospital (fighting for his life, btw). Two weeks later I get a final notice letter in the mail. This "bill" they claim we owe has not been an issue to them for 10 months and all of a sudden they can't give me some time to reconcile my bills and cc's to make sure I was not in fact charged last year with what I have going on. I remember distinctly signing their tablet with the worker that was at the house after the cc was charged. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! VERY SHADY!! read more

Unreliable and they lie. I called because my pipes in my bathroom were frozen, and I was so excited that they said they can get somebody out today between 12 to 4 PM. Nobody showed up. No call. Nothing. I called and after waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I finally got in touch with their answering service. And they said somebody would call me back. I'm holding my phone waiting waiting waiting, I look away, and when I look back at my phone, I see a missed call and voicemail, and it says "silenced call". I didn't silence the call, did they silence it? The voicemail says nobody can come till Wednesday. So I call back and I speak to the woman, I told her I've been waiting for them all day. If they couldn't come out until Wednesday, it would have been nice to know so I could've called somebody else. She said she called and left a message. I have zero recording of that call. I have zero missed call. She said we record All of our calls. She claims to have called at 10:31 this morning and left a 56 second message. Well it wasn't to me. I never got it. I have zero missed calls from them and zero voicemails. What a horrible liar and now it's 5pm, and I have to search for a new plumber. Never use this company! Unbelievable. And now it's 5pm and there's no way I can get anybody out here. read more

Purchased a 50 gallon hot water heater that doesn't heat enough water for one person to bathe and I'm extremely disappointed. The solution was to upsale me a booster, which I declined .
