I read the reviews and even read the inspection violations (14 in total) and STILL gave the restaurant a chance! I'm visiting from out of town and ordered from my hotel using Uber Ears. I ordered the Exliner because it has my favorite pizza toppings and because of a previous yelp photo that makes this pizza look wonderful (it may have been that way at one time), but... It's just plain awful! I ordered two 7" Exliner pizzas because it was less expensive to do so than their 12". Uber Eats delivered it to me just fine, but when I opened the boxes what I found was burnt blobs. A pan-like looking pie that has no sauce, and if I wanted it well done I would have ordered extra crispy. I took a couple of bites of a slice and choked it down. I thought if I could eat the toppings maybe I could salvage my dinner. Nope. The photos shoe how the pie looks underneath the toppings, like a bad growth (no sauce). I immediately stopped eating, replaced the box lid and got on yelp. Their web description reads, "Memphis Style Pizza -- Exlines' Best Pizza in Town is a family restaurant serving Memphis style pizza since 1974". I do not believe the family who started Exline's in 1974 would be proud.

Clean restaurant and friendly staff. Cooked to order. Order online and save yourself the wait.

If I wanted burnt $37 pizza I could have just cooked myself

I made a yelp account specifically so no one had to experience what I did at this place. Without going into detail because this place is not worth my time...the people that work here are the rudest people I have met in my entire life. My pizza was burnt to a crisp. The managers response, "tough shit" Please don't let these people ruin your day.

The strangest pizza ever. No sauce and you can just lift the toppings and separate the base and pizza- very dry. Lady behind the cashier very nice- Cindy and the ambiance not ok.

Pizza is missing the two main ingredients. Ordered online through Uber Eats.

I order the all meat pizza from Uber Eats and it arrived missing two of my favorite ingredients-bbq and kabolska sausage.

Song I came once before since I'm back in town and the pizza was really good and cooked fresh... so however Tonight June 15,2021 I called in and ordered pizza and mozzarella breadsticks. Which was a 45 min wait time .. so I go in too pay for my food... I'm just now making it home and when I tell you the mozzarella cheese sticks has no cheese literally dry every single one!!.. idk if the person who cooked them didn't notice but I would never get those again.. and crazy part no marinara sauce ‍ and everyone just be on their phones and not wearing gloves while showing you your pizza. Y'all need too do better Despite what time it was or whatever... no matter what time your closing you still supposed too so services right so yes yall earned that one star today ...

I was in Memphis visiting Graceland and staying at Holiday Inn on Elvis Presley Blvd. and chose this place for a late night snack on our last night in town. Upon arriving at our pickup time, we still had to wait 15 minutes for our pizza's and mozzarella cheese sticks. We were never greeted upon entering store, and finally getting back to our room with pizza's ( a 2 minute walk) we were anxious to eat .....but was disappointed by having a cold pepperoni pizza, a semi warm meat pizza and hot cheese sticks. My pepperoni pizza was seriously like a frozen Jack's or Red Baron pizza.

Slice of Ham pizza, Styrofoam containers provided by restaurant since we were in a Hotel.

1st place we tried for a late quik bite upon our arrival in the city. It was very near the hotel. I think we should of just stuck with a national chain. Even though the pizza was very fresh & hot, it didn't stand out. It literally tasted like a freshly made Totinos pizza you can buy at the supermarket. The Ham we requested on the pizza was very tiny cubed pieces of Ham. But seeing that it was late evening, it was ok.

    Double pepperoni.

Called in a thin pepperoni with extra pepperoni. Call taker didn't punch in in correctly and a large pizza came out with about 10 pepperoni slices. Some slices had none. Waited for a remake and it looked much better. Although they advertised "best pizza in town," it sure wasn't. 32 bucks for a large 1 topping pizza and cheese sticks.

The Italian bread with herbs was delicious, and every appetizer we tried -- from the cheese fritters to the calamari -- was excellent. I chose the smoked chicken ravioli for my entrée, and it was truly delectable. We finished dinner with key lime pie for dessert, and it was mmm good. Overall, the meal was fabulous. My only complaint was the air-conditioning, which felt brutally cold at times. Thankfully it wasn't on continuously, but I couldn't help wondering -- why is the AC blasting on a cold January night? Our server was excellent as well. A+!

Fried artichokes lacked flavor with the breading or artichoke themselves. Blackened chicken tortellini was pretty good, just a little too salty. My husband's "tomato sauce" for his veal parmigiana had such a strange flavor, like an entire bottle of worcestershire sauce was dumped into it. Veal was either really tough or the silverware was too dull, because he really had to hack it to cut it. I really hope they make their focaccia in house, because that was the best bite of the meal.

I am beyond excited to have finally tried Ciao Bella! Upon…read moreentering, it definitely feels fancy. I met my husband here for lunch. So he was wearing his suit. I was wearing my "mom clothes" and we had our toddler with us. Not once did I not feel welcomed though. Our waiter was super nice, very helpful with the menu options. I wish I had gotten his name (we actually dined over 3 months ago and I'm just getting to this review!). He seemed to have been busy, but never let it affect his performance. Now on to the food. My goodness, it was delicious and I have been craving to go back. First off, I appreciate that they are a kid friendly place. I understand not every place has to be, but when a place offers something for kids, it just makes the dining experience even better for me. They were out of the kids cheese pizza, but our waiter did a cheese flatbread for my son. I mean, that alone was good, but my entree was the best! I had the basil pesto tortellini. All the flavors came together perfectly in it. Highly recommend! My husband got the bbq chicken flatbread, one of the best flatbreads we've had. Seriously! As an appetizer, we got the baked spinach dip. It had so much flavor and pairing it with those house made tortilla chips were just the extra it needed. The only thing that was disappointing was the tiramisu. We have had better. The espresso flavor just wasn't enough for my liking. We'll be back for sure! Maybe a date night for dinner.

Recommend the BBQ Chicken pizza with a side of gouda cheese! If you are ever on death row, request this from Ciao Bella for your last earthly meal! You won't be disappointed, well maybe for previous choices but not for the last meal choice. Other notable mentions, peanut butter chocolate pie for desert and the calamari. Again try the calamari with the gouda cheese. Dining was very elegant and setting was romantic. Felt upper class by Monday, today. Compliments to the Chef and for management for fitting us into the schedule. Well done!

Moody lighting, low rumble of noise and music you enjoy but don't notice. My kinda place. Rye was our server and she was excellent. Not only top-notch recommendations but also let us know about the tasting menu- I can't wait to come back to try the off-menu one they do the last Wednesday of every month. We got raw oysters to start and chose the seasonal preparation. It was almost like frozen lemonade crème fresh, but with the brine of the oysters it just worked. Would def order again! We started with a whiskey sour and AM old fashioned. Both great but mine was so good my husband ordered another round of them for us before we got a bottle of red. I don't recall what bottle it was but it worked perfectly as it wasn't too heavy and swung easily from apps/pasta/entrees. Then we opted into the blind tasting menu. 5 courses, chosen from the menu that you don't know what you're getting until it touches the table. My husband and I are pretty adventurous as far as food goes so it was perfect for us. No shit- Everything was amazing. I loved the tasting menu as it was not any dishes we were considering and I am so glad we got to try things we wouldn't have otherwise. For example, the little asparagus appetizer was the best thing we ate, on God. Like, what in the actual F ! The kind of magic they created with those little green veggies was out of this world --I didn't even want to swallow it was that delicious. There was some kind of fish crudo with beet and kumquat relish. Weird and so good! We also had some pasta with a lemon-y butter sauce and spinach and then a chicken entree. I was getting so full by the time entrees came I ate less than half of it but the skin was crispy, chicken was cooked to perfection and husband finished them both. Now yall, the dessert was a heavenly little pot of rich chocolate with a caramel base and crunchy honeycomb crisp on top. I was so full I couldn't finish it but my husband finished his and then mine. We also ordered a little affogato and it was perfect to finish the meal. I will absolutely be back and look forward to trying their other restaurants in the near future!!!

I was able to eat the portions not touch by the spinach but it was so salty spinach was inedible. The best thing of the night was this spinach pasta dish with pumpkin. I would just go back for that.
