Came here for the first time due to my rear tire needing to get patched up quickly after running over a nail and I could keep hearing it losing air, I quickly called Hal's as it was closest to me. I was almost worried they sound too take me bc it was almost 5 pm but They told me to come by and Hal and his team took care of me right away. It was all patched up and better within 20 minutes and I was so so relieved bc I had somewhere I needed to be as well. Hal is very gracious and seems like a very genuine person. I had new tires and windshield wipers replaced about six weeks ago, so yesterday it rained and the driver side wiper flew off while I was driving with 2 kids in the car. thank God it did not hit the car behind me. I was able to make it home but it was scary. I called today and was told that I could either pay another 50 dollars to have a new one put on or go pick one up myself and they would install it. Was greeted on New Years Day with not one, but two flat tires. I waited until today to try and get it taken care of. Since I only have one donut tire and one jack, I just took both tires off my car, tossed them in my other car and drove to Hal's unannounced. I fully expected to have to leave the tires and come back later to pick them up and/or have to wait around for hours to get it done, but as soon as I got there and told them what I had going on, he said, "just back up to Bay #2" and he plugged both tires for me in less than 10 minutes. No nonsense business. I was very pleased. I took my van in to get smogged. I made an appointment and showed up on time. I was greeted immediately and was asked for my keys and DMV paperwork. I had a nice conversation with the young man at the front desk. Shortly after, I was presented with my smog cert and DMV paperwork. Paid my certificate fee and was on my way. Prices reasonable, was in and out in less than 25 minutes. All in all a great experience. read more

Had a very pleasant experience here earlier today. Went in to change one tire on a '92 Honda Accord. Was quoted around $110 for everything- less if they could find a used tire of the right size in their inventory. After inspecting the car, they recommended repairing the tire for $20. It would have been much easier for them to charge the full $110 to make as much profit as possible. We found our new go-to! read more

I came in because I had a flat tire. The guy that came to find out what I was there for was very rude. At first he said he couldn't do anything for me. Then he said fine and acted as if he didn't want to accept my service. He waited until the very last moment to tell me I needed to pay with cash. He was extremely rude in his mannerisms, if it weren't for my circumstances with my tire i would've taken my business elsewhere. The mechanic that looked at my tire and fixed it for me was extremely nice he had a strong accent. My opinion is if you don't know how to have good customer service maybe you need to not be in a field with the general public. I do not recommend coming to this shop, you can find another place to meet your needs and give you better service within a 5 mi radius. read more

I informed this business that I was doing a two month cross country road trip and wanted all aspects of the truck checked, repaired and documented. I was billed $ 2,676.33, paid in cash. After being on the road, I became aware that the brake sensor had not been repaired by Hal's Tire & Total Car Care, Inc. The differential (rear axle gear) had gone out in Alabama. Tire City and Automotive Service, Montgomery, Al., reported that the gear axle oil was low and that that resulted in the unit's failure. On July 15th, I engaged Hamid Rastavan and Hunter Rastavan seeking a resolution. I offered that Hal's Tire & Total Car Care, Inc. could split the differential bill 50/50. The business refused. It's hard to find an honest mechanic these days. I bought tires two times. If I go in need and a tire rotation they do it quickly and free. They've fixed/ plugged a tire w/ a nail no charge. I took my car in thinking I needed brakes, so I left it With them. 20 minutes later Johnny calls to tel me my brakes are fine and that they had rotated the tires for me reset the the tpms system.... that light had been on for almost a year!! Long story short they could have told me my brakes were bad... because I thought they were and that I needed new tpms sensors in my tiers. Thanks guys!! I appreciate your honesty!!!! Don't come here Needed two front tires for my Camry because the front right tire was from 2004, just bought it used so that's super dangerous and needed replacing. Took it to Hal's and he made a mistake and miscalculated the time the tires would get there because he had to order them, so they would come the next day and not that afternoon like he said. Honest mistake, understandable. I take it the next day, puts on the tires on in about 30 or so minutes and I was extremely pleased. Take it home, front passenger side tire was flat. You'd think with brand new tires how is this possible. So turns out they put the old 18 year old valve stems on a brand new falken tire. That's what 300$+ for two tires and labor buys you I guess. Swapped it out with the spare and drove back, my driver side front hubcap came off as I'm driving down the freeway because the worker didn't pop it on all the way, or the passenger side one either as I noticed while changing the spare. Went back and put new valve stems. It pisses me off that I kept asking why you'd put an old valve stem on a new tire, dodged the question a million times assuring me it was fixed but it's like that could have messed up the rim, that could have messed up my car, it's dangerous, it's not a good way of doing business. He didn't even seem mad at the worker, and just sent him on his lunch as I pulled up and like honestly I'd never come back here if you paid me. I've already told people if you need tires don't go here whatever you do. Owner's a nice guy but that's not a good way of doing business that's all I have to say and it wasn't worth 300$ I could have paid the same or less and went to a Firestone where they actually do a good job and you don't have to deal with bullshit read more

The owner Hal is kind of trustworthy but the other employees try ripping you off when the owner isn't around. I brought my car in to their auto shop just to get two things done and they listed 5-6 things wrong with my car... they will look at your car open things that you didn't ask them to touch and tell you there's things that are wrong with the car. I then thought to myself how could there be something wrong when it's a new car? So I took my car to the actually branded dealership and they told me the things they listed aren't true and that my car has been with there dealership and well maintained. I've been frustrated by a slow leaking tire. I found Hal's on yelp, it was convenient, close to my home and open on Sunday! After calling, the manager, Johnny said they could fix tire for $20. It was 4pm Sunday when they closed at 5. I arrived 15 minutes later and although there was a lobby full of clients, they got right to work on the tire. I met Hal, the new owner and he was friendly and courteous. I'll be going back to Hals for my auto repair and tire needs. read more
