I am so happy that I found this place!!! I was looking for someone who could tailor my wedding dress and add a bustle. I shopped around to a few places but they were all so expensive - probably because it was a wedding dress. But when I went in to meet Kyle, it was obvious he was a professional and knew exactly what he was doing. He quoted me the best price I got and did a great job! We had one little hiccup on the dress but Kyle fixed it in one day!!! He also was able to repair tears in the lace which is so hard to do. My friend referred me here for my suit alterations and I couldn't be more pleased with my results. If you're looking for cheap alternations, this is definitely not the place to come but if you care about how good your suit will look on you, then Kyle is probably the best there is. He is on the expensive side but you can tell he is very experienced and knows what needs to be done without even telling him. I would not trust any other place with my high end clothes. read more

I had very good experience coming here for my wedding dress alteration. Kyle did the best he can to have the stress fitted to my body. Because Kyle has proven to me over and over again that he is the very best, I am taking seven more garments to Expert Alterations. Three tops, an evening dress, a jacket and two pairs of pants. The tops I know he will alter to make me look thinner and accentuate my waist as he has done before. The evening dress needs a zipper removed and the shoulder seams altered. On my fun jacket I will have him sew on numerous embroidered patches and on the pants he will take them in and alter the width of the legs. I brought much of my business to this tailor as the first transaction went smoothly. I was satisfied. As I continued to bring more of my pieces in, the work went down hill significantly. Sloppy lines and lack of craftsmanship and I couldn't help but feel like he was taking advantage of what he was charging based on the brands I was bringing in. I'm not sure if it was due to laziness or arrogance, or a combination of both, but he started tailoring my clothes to HIS likings- proceeding with work that was never requested and completely altering the aesthetics. I trusted this tailor with more of my higher valued pieces. It is safe to say that they have been devalued into nothing. I'm not able to enjoy my pieces and feel comfortable in them. I went here 10 years ago with a suit that I wanted the legs to be hemmed and the sleeves to be lengthened. Kyle had me put on the suit and I watched as within minutes he did his work pinning the suit way beyond what my ask was and showing me what a suit should look like. It was an AMAZING transformation. He told me how much it would cost and why, but I didn't have the budget so just asked him for the hem and sleeve adjustment. He then removed the pins and I watched as a perfectly fit suit that he had created became an oversized mess on me and I realized this guy knows his craft. I got the hem and over the years have gone to other hacks for the basic adjustments. NEVER AGAIN. I returned to Kyle a few weeks ago knowing I now had the budget to get an expert tailoring and he took suits that I had spent a lot of money on and made them fit me perfectly. It is a remarkable difference. Admittedly, the sticker shock the first time was alarming to me, but these suits now fit like they should and look and fit perfectly. He as a fantastic attention to detail. It's like seeing something transform that you just didn't realize was possible. I thought my suits looked pretty good before going to Kyle - now I see that regardless of my suit selection, brand, and materials it was made from - you can still look like a bum without the proper tailoring. It was literally the best altered bridesmaid dress I ever had -- he was realistic with what he could/couldn't do, made the dress look like it was made for me, AND delivered the alterations on time. My biggest issue with previous tailors has been on time delivery, and it's never an issue here. I've come back for jeans alterations (waist/length; also did an impeccable job where people can't tell it was altered), another bridesmaids dress, as well as a leather jacket which had too long of sleeves (moto style). Me and my coworkers could not tell where the original seam was vs what sleeve area he had altered. Seriously impressive. Went back to Kyle to handle our wedding outfits. He did both my bride's dress as well as my tuxedo. He did a fantastic job as usual!! Everyone was very complementary on how we looked and how everything fit so well. We always recommend people to Kyle and he is the only tailor we go to. Was contemplating getting a bespoke tuxedo but decided to save a ton of money and get an "off the rack" and let Kyle do his magic. The bespoke was not necessary as he made my tux look just as good! When I went to pick up my tux two days before we left town for the wedding, I decided I wanted the sleeves on my shirt shorter. I had previously said to leave them... Kyle had this last minute change ready in an hour!! No stress, no extra charge! My wife's dress looked amazing as well and fit like a glove. A very beautiful 80s Michael Jackson type glove. She was thrilled and he was cheaper than the dress shop too! 5 stars! See Kyle!! I forgot, I was having trouble tying my bow tie at my final fitting, so he gave me a pre tied one he had in the shop (not a customers...) for free just in case! And a bag of candy for the road!! Kyle reached out and offered to refund me the money, without a receipt and even a year later! Honestly with customer service like that I had to change my rating from my review below. Him just offering shows I must've had a one off experience. The pictures are done with so I won't take the refund, but I will definitely try this place again if I need anything altered. I had a dress altered for engagement pictures. It was almost a year ago, and I never wrote anything but it still irritates me every time I see my pictures. The dress was a about $30 and cost over $100 to alter it. It was a simple short dress that belle'd out. So I wanted it more shape flattering. The result was even worse than how it started. The seam went across the top of my chest rather than under my breast bone. My photographer was even trying to find ways to pose so that it didn't look as awful. I would've bought a new dress but it was too late, and I spent so much on alterations that I tried to tell myself it wasn't that bad. Every time someone looks at my pictures they ask what happened to my dress or why does it look like that? Ugh. In response to your comment. It was definitely this place. I went based off the reviews and didn't mind spending the extra money to have it down right. You altered the dress a couple times they week because you even felt it was fitting correctly. Then you eventually told me that's just how it is. I didn't have any more time left, so I really thought maybe it's not as bad as I think and trusted your expert judgment. Kyle's the man. I've been to a lot of tailors over the years, but few are as thorough and dedicated to their trade. He's got an eye for details and takes his craftsmanship seriously. I've had a number of things altered over the past few months and they've all held up to plenty of use and abuse. Most recently I brought in a pair of new, but terribly quality controlled Ermenegildo Zegna Trofeo trousers that were in dire need of Kyle's attention. Wouldn't have trusted these with anyone else. Rude. Altering a formal dress...Didn't know what T-length was, so I had to show him. Wanted the scratchy straps replaced with something softer and he used some weird strap that was more uncomfortable. He literally slapped my hand when I was trying to show the strap length I wanted. I ended up replacing the straps again, myself, at home. There are nicer, more pleasant people to give your money to, who have just as much, or more talent. read more

I bought a dress online that was heavily beaded on the top for my wedding reception and needed to get the straps shortened and the bodice of the gown was draping in the back. Since the design was so intricate, I was worried that it would get messed up but I went to Expert Alterations and met Kyle. My god Kyle knows what he is doing!
