If you are fasting, better get the earliest appointment possible so you don't starve. I got out around 10:30, and there were significantly more people in the waiting room. I was helped by 3-4 technicians and a couple more being trained. The technicians were all friendly and helpful. They don't read the chart so they can't really give me much information, just told me that the doctor should be contacting me with results in 3-5 days.

With all the healthcare fraud and breeches...there was so way I was going to do that. The receptionists at ContinuEM were super nice and got me checked in within 5 mins. Never did they ask me for anything financial other than my copay which was expected. Once I saw the doctor, boy was he thorough. He explained what was going on, what to expect and what I was doing that could make things worse. They gave me a steroid pill right there in the office - no need to go to the pharmacy! And they observed me after I took the pills to make sure I didn't have a reaction. It was actually a good thing that Exer didn't work out!

I am baffled. This is supposed to be URGENT care. The receptionist just told me that they could have it ready tomorrow. Came here for an Interventional Radiology procedure. While many things went well, they glossed over…read morethe things that really annoy a patient. This is a stressful time for the patient and family. Anticipate friction points from the patient's viewpoint and solve them before arrival! We lack time to work with you to solve your logistical problems. Light rail may work for some outpatients. Most patients drive to your location or someone drives them. So, they need good directions. The pre-admitting interview person gave generic directions to the place and Google Maps were no help at all. Develop good directions and work with Apple, Garmin, and Google to add them. After a failed map search, by chance we called 562-933-1550 (radiology scheduling) and a very pleasant lady finally gave us correct directions: navigate to 403 E Columbia St., from Atlantic Blvd turn right onto Columbia St., drive past the lime-green Diagnostic Imaging building, turn right into side parking, and park in places labeled "for diagnostic imaging patients". Walk across the street and check in at the outpatient surgery center. Helpful! Please program the MyChart automated Epic system to send those directions. MyChart sent the address for the Long Beach Medical Center, a large complex covering several acres and with many entrances. After checking in, the experience was good. Nurses Priscilla and Delilah were very professional and helpful. The interventional radiology team was also great. I felt sorry for the tech who pushed my gurney from the pre-op area through several doors before reaching the interventional radiology room. None of the doors were set to open automatically. He used the gurney to brace the double doors open. Implement automatic doors before an accident happens. The strong, sticky tape that provides antibacterial barrier and holds patient's neck in one orientation for three days was more annoying than the procedure. Warn the patient about this. On removal, the tape ripped off about two square inches of skin. The abrasions and wounds create an entry for infection, so patient's medical team may delay the follow-on treatment until they heal. Talk to a surgeon, preferably a plastic surgeon, to identify a better tape.

NEW UCI trained staff handed me a 40 pages legal documen after merger... my job is reading contacts and I did not have time except to scan...one sided. Needed simple "pre op chest xray; . Tried to make appointment by phone. Told only walk ins for x-rays..from 8 am-5 PM M-F. Showed up 8/3/26, early. As existing patient all records already on file. Handed prescription; receptionist asked supervisor if "pre op" was sufficient to submit to MediCare for billing; I was told diagnosis was not sufficient to permit x-ray. Told I had to get Doctor to revise prescription. NO OFFER TO CONTACT DR OFFICE and have revised prescription faxed over...Asked for private pay option to avoid having to delay scheduled surgery; NO.. Asked for referral to another x-ray clinic ... NO. UCI trained staff is less than helpful. Appears that unless they can guarantee billing of insurance, you should not waste you time at this facility.

All done via iPad and she made sure to send me the link by text to update my MyChart to save the info and get my test results. I had a lovely student begin my ultrasound scan and her boss followed up and completed it. Everyone I have interacted with here is efficient, courteous and friendly. Received text messages and invoice for an additional $562 two months after service. They claim this was my balance after insurance and the $388 collected. No visibility on how they arrived at this amount, how they calculated the original $388 or why they originally miscalculated. Would never have used them if I would have known the total charges up front. SERVICE: It took 3 and half weeks to get the radiologist to read and provide a report on my MRI results. NO ONE could be reached. Bounced around phone systems and email, no return calls, etc. Avoid this place at all costs!

Having an ultrasound procedure can sometimes make a patient feel nervous or uncomfortable, but their positive attitudes and calm, friendly personalities made me feel much more relaxed. What impressed me most was the way they handled themselves with patients who may be nervous or uncertain about the procedure. They took the time to make me feel comfortable and treated me with genuine kindness and respect. I arrived at 7:38 and the door was locked so I drove next door the Taco and waiting to see if a car would pull in soo once I saw a black Prius pull in I got in my car and drove right back Into the parking lot. It's now 7:48 and I wait for the employees to unlock the door and then I walk in. Once I walk-in I let them know I was there for a 7::45 appointment and she immediately just said I missed my appointment. I was shocked because I just saw her and another man unlock the door. I got lucky coming across Prenatal Angels and seeing that they offer a Pregnancy Confirmation ultrasound. From the very start Ken was very warm and welcoming to my husband and myself. He introduced himself, shook our hands, and let me get comfy on the bed with paper towels to prepare for the ultrasound gel. He explained the process, what we were looking at, and it was professional but friendly at the same time. The only nerves I felt that whole appointment were similar to those butterflies people get, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Even if all I was seeing was a little little sight to see, it was my sight to see. After the appointment we got to take home two ultrasound photos and Ken explained the different packages they offer and how he hopes to see us again.
