THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER‼ I was told I needed a $217 belt to pass state inspection to later find out (2+ hours later) that I didn't need it at all ONLY because I asked questions. Area Manager was angry and told me that they don't usually have to answer questions just do the inspections. The Inspector(Ray) and Area Manager (wouldn't provide his name) got upset with me because they lied to me about needing a belt and DPS was called and she had to READ the guidelines and tell them that they were wrong. After learning they were wrong, Area Manager told me that Ray, Inspector, trashed the first inspection report and that I could wait for another one. During the Second inspection- Ray opened my gas tank so I began recording him on my cell phone because I've never had an inspector do this. He saw me recording and got extremely upset and emotional asking me not to put him on camera then proceeded to call someone on his cellphone to tell them I was recording. I called for the Area Managers' assistance and he got emotional and started shouting that I insulted the Inspectors "Manhood" by saying he was emotional. The Area Manager refused to finish the inspection, unplugged my car, and threatened to call the police if I didn't leave immediately. I called DPS Representative and she checked the system and informed me that my vehicle had already passed, so what was Ray really doing to my vehicle the second time? read more

I was told by Huffines Hyundai that I needed rear brakes and rotors turned. I didn't do it there, but decided to use Express Oil - they did my brakes back in 2019. I took it in an dropped off. A few minutes after I got home, they called and asked who told me I needed brakes, and if I had any issues with the brakes. Turns out that my brake pads are only about 50%! They said they didn't feel right taking my $ with the amount of brake pads I have. WOW! I really appreciate the honesty. It is hard to find in the car repair industry. We visited Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers in Allen with a flat tire. After waiting for a few hours, we were told the tire couldn't be repaired and that we needed a new one. The next day, we returned and waited for several more hours, only to be informed that the mechanic wasn't there. Frustrated, we went to NTB right next door, and they fixed the tire in just 20 minutes--no need for a new tire after all. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I took my car here back in July for a routine Oil change and drove off with engine knock. Took the car the next day to the dealer to see what the hell had happened to my car, they drained the oil and found 1 out of 6 quarts of oil in it. Because of low oil & lack of lubrication they also found metal shavings in the engine. They refused to take ownership until Corporate was called, and then they replaced the whole engine. Their mechanics just could never seem to get it right, the car had multiple misfires with the new engine and never drove the same. Moral of the story is... Don't trust these people with your cars.. I trusted them for routine service and ended up on the short end of the stick. The only positive here is that the owner was respectful. He was focused on making me whole again. read more

The oil change is always done so quick (less than 20 minutes unless there's long line). The staff are always friendly and helpful AND A BIG SHOUT-OUT TO MARK!!!! For some reasons, he's always there to help me whenever I brought my car in for any reason (wipers, headlights, rear window break light, you name it!). He's very knowledgeable, and humble. Found out the hard way that the teput antifreeze in the windshield washer reservoir. Spend my Friday night flushing it and washing the truck multiple times to care for the paint. I'll give them credit for doing a coolant system flush b/c there's no telling what he put in there. The Mgr walked over, introduced himself, apologized for the wait, and began to take my info to speed up the process. I was here a few days ago and the guy that greeted me seemed annoyed that I was there. He rushed to get my info and couldn't wait for me to leave... I showed my Groupon and the mechanic acted very uninterested in answering my questions. One guy never looked me in the eye, just answered my questions while looking away. Purchased a Groupon for an oil change at this location. When they finished the work my bill was twice as high as it should be so I questioned it. The mechanic and other workers agreed there was a mistake, so they called s woman over to help. She looked at it and said, "it's not wrong - take me to court if you don't like it. ". Now we are sitting there stunned bc everyone else can do simple math and can see that we were double charged. The employees could see this was going to get ugly so they tried to show her. Stopped by to have engine oil & cabin filters serviced and changed (I have K&N Filters). Most places will not touch K&N filters but this place cheerfully & professionally handled my needs and cleaned/re-charged my K&N filter which I really appreciated as it is a pain to do that yourself. They offered to check my alignment as an added (No fee) service. I was ready for a report that I needed "work" but NO.., they gave me a computerized report that showed my car had perfect alignment and needed no work. Admittedly this location is new, however my first (and only) experience was not good. I asked for oil change and tires rotated. They tried to balance my tires claiming it was included in the rotation service. The price for oil and tire rotation came to $107; usually $79 at Kwik Kar. The personnel were less then professional. The oil technician had ear buds in with music playing. Had to interrupt the music 3 times when I had questions, specific to the attempt to balance tires and the length of time the work was taking. Later that night, while out with wife, the oil pan skid guard fell off because the service tech, with ear buds, forgot to put two bolts back. They new I was not happy. Manager apologized and discounted the bill $5. I think customer training is required and more attention to communication with customer and service work detail is in order. I'm on my way to Ford Monday to have skid guard replaced/repaired. Again, they are new, but there are better options for oil and car repair based on my experience this Saturday.
