Honest car repair told me what exactly I needed and didn't try to pitch me on stuff that didn't need to be done

The battery of my car died, but I'd just replaced it less than a year ago. I called Spring Creek Auto Repair, they sent someone out to give me a jump. I immediately drove over and less than an hour later, my battery was replaced, my tires had air put into them, and I was sent on my way, without a dime coming out of my pocket! I LOVE my car... and I don't trust anyone to work on it other than me usually... but my tools won't work for this job. I trust these folks!! The guys who work here are incredibly polite not to just me, but every person who came in the door the few times I've been here. The first time I came, I got a quote and advice on how I could do it not only cheaper but they also advised me on other ideas and how to take care of a few other car parts at home like my passenger outside mirror. What made me trust this place is when I was waiting on my first quote, the mechanic made sure to let the lady checking out that the oil change she has is good for 5k miles not the regular 3k. She thanked him and didn't know that about synthetic oil and has been scammed before. Little things like this show integrity. I know I can trust not only my car with this location, but my wallet too. We've had 2 separate trips here and both good experiences. Our first experience. We actually tried going to an auto shop but their wait time was too long so we saw this place and gave them a chance. We stopped in front and came out and was immediately able to get someone to chat with. Explained our situation and he quickly knew what to try. Issue was resolved swiftly and without these ridiculous charges some other auto shops will do to diagnose the problem. 2nd time was for standard maintenance and it went smoothly as well. I didn't go this time but I saw the invoice. One small suggestion I would make is to be a bit more detailed in the invoice so I can correlate that with the price. All in all, we will be coming back again and again for our car maintenance needs. read more

Very happy to have found an honest mechanic! Brought our older Rav4 to be serviced, told him I needed a brake job and a couple other things including an oil change. Picked it up at closing time, the oil change was less $$ than one of the 5-minute places, and he said there was still good 10k - 15k miles before needing brakes. I have had some dreadful experiences at many repair shops in Plano and could easily quote who they are and where they are, but today I want to highlight and elevate Spring Creek Auto Repair located at 5401 Alma Drive in Plano Texas. I found this location by accident because they were located behind a repair facility that had treated me disrespectfully. I turned the corner and found this location and immediately I was greeted by Ray. Ray is probably the most professional technician that I have met. He was direct, encouraging, kind professional and always customer service focused. I never had to feel like I was being taken advantage of. I knew from the initial handshake that he understood my needs and my frustration. I realized that this might require my car to stay overnight but I knew it would be ok. I finally found a repair shop that I knew I could trust. Within minutes they started working on my car and it was by three or four different people all confirming the same issue and they began working on it right away. It was important to them that I was safe, happy and satisfied because these guys took pride in their work. I came in with my car and I left on the same day. WOW I left with a feeling of confidence that I did not have earlier that day. I went to Spring Creek auto repair for a dead battery. The battery I had was covered under warranty by a local auto parts shop but the auto parts shop would not honor the warranty saying it was a good batteryhowever the battery would drain I'll power within a few minutes of being on. Staff at Spring Creek auto repair called the local auto parts shop explain the situation so that I was able to get a new battery. Went to go get my motorcycle inspected and I go to walk in and the second I opened the door it smelled strongly of marijuana. The inspector didn't know how to inspect a motorcycle and kept saying I need this to pass which I pulled up the Texas dps motorcycle inspection list and showed it to him but he could care less and still tried to Argue with me on it. Overall terrible customer service inspector should know the inspection list and not fight with people who pull it up and say they're wrong. read more

RIPOFF****Terrible service! Took the car because it wasn't starting told them the problem they said they could hook it up to their new diagnostic machine and fix it. well $300 later they say they put in new spark plugs claim that they flush the engine and put it in oil and took it home service engine light came back on within 30 miles it was missing it stalled it at the stoplight ..wouldn't start!!! nothing was fixed there!!! they are liars the service was terrible and then when I took it back the guy said that that the guy at the counter didn't really work there he should've told me that they couldn't identify it it's not a full-service garage . So they have people in there that obviously don't work they're taking your car keys and they're selling you a bill of goods that they can't do he also said when we can't fix it it might be the fuel pump because another person brought In the same kind of car that was doing the same thing and that's what it was! Are you seriously going to try to tell me you can't fix my car but try to diagnose it based on somebody else bringing their car and that you couldn't fix either?? Ultimately you didn't do anything you didn't do what you said you were going to do you didn't do a tuneup you didn't do anything but you took my money!!! Can't say enough good things about this place. They are honest. They will always attempt the cheaper repair before an expensive one. There are a few repairs that they cannot do and they are honest enough to tell you that. Turnaround time is usually incredibly quick unless they are just slammed.
