could have been way better to deal with, sure nice in the contract process, but one star overall, im upset it cant be zero for them. no they cant refund the rest of the month in rent even though we moved out with 3 weeks kind words? i dont have any for them, not when you cost me money so, you have a choice in your storage needs, dam theres one across the street. under most situations, i wouldnt really care, but its the principle. cant stress how much they upset me with their inconsistencies. k, i get it youre a business, gotta make that money, but why do it at my expense? even borrowing their truck was a contradiction, tell the wife use it anytime and right when we need it again, poof, one time move in only! so is life, i do not recommend them, and now you know i feel about them...;) read more

Their rent is cheap, but that is the only reason I am giving them an extra star. Here is my story; I signed a hold harmless agreement with them which was about their permission for me to ship any package of books and clothing to the storage unit, and ask them to store it in my unit on behalf of me - I gave them a key to my lock, and they AGREED to my request. Now, few months later, before shipping package to them, I visited the location to see if the manager is still aware of my special request. Surprisingly, the management has changed, and the new manager seemed irritating to my request, but agreed to do so if I gave her a advanced notice. So, I promised her that I will give the notice before shipping the package. Then, after giving the notice and shipping some boxes of books via USPS media mail, the manager called me and told me that they do not receive mails from USPS and I should have sent via FedEx or UPS - which was a total bullshit because the original manager did not mention it, and also, there was nowhere in the contract specifying the preferred logistics service. Since I was far away from CT, I decided to give up and just pick up my books from when I sent - the manager refused to accept the mail!!!! So, in short, if you are thinking about shipping something to them and ask them to store the shipment to your unit - forget about it!!!! because the manager changes quite often here, so it may give some excuses not to perform what they agreed to when you moved in. Other than shipping issues, and frequent management changes, I did not like their inconsistent rent. Beware of this - they will raise the rent in 5 months and 12 months after you move in. They do not bring up this issue when you sign in, which means that they are ready to deceive you during the rental. The issue about rent changes is mentioned in their website, but of course it is not easy to spot it(somewhere in the very bottom of a FAQ section). I recommend you go for a more ethical storage company. read more

Experienced very poor customer service in this place. I have had my unit since 01/17 and upon reviewing my items the past month I found these little black roundish things all over my sofas and boxes. I shook most of it off not thinking much of it but then I saw a ton on the ground ,it was gross. I took pictures , went to the front desk and asked them if they could identify what it was. I asked if it could be some kind of feces or bug. They were "perplexed" and said they had noooo idea and concluded it could no way be feces. Now here's my issue, I was not upset that they "have never seen anything like that" but moreso with their lack of solution. Mind you when I mean solution I don't mean monetary wise, I meant like going to my unit and checking it out. They  just stood there presumably waiting for me to accept their answer or lack thereof & leave. I had to be the one to ask if they could clean it or something, it was like I was doing their job for them. Eventually, seeing that I wasnt leaving without some resemblance of a solution they said they could sweep the unit, but that's about it.  After, I went home and started googling. I eventually googled mice droppings, skeptical bc they said it couldn't be mice droppings, and to be honest i grew up with cats so we never had mice or rat droppings; but lo and behold it was freaking mice droppings. I call up upset but respectfully explained what I came across. They offered to transfer me to another unit and I proceeded ask them why thus resolution was not offered in the beginning? My stuff would still be surrounded by mice feces if I didn't check it out. His tone became very rude and told me that they don't just up and give ppl transfers.  Wow, not even if the customers stuff is covered in mouse feces? Like really? I don't believe one minute that someone who is asst manager and been there for a long while can't identify mice droppings and the fact that they did not hesitate to accept that they were mice feces ehen I told them was a give away. I got nowhere with them and had to wait for a manager to call. Three days later, after I called to make sure she called me, she listened but did not offer anything for my distress. She didn't even offer me full refund, for the month,-when I ultimately decided I was moving out. By then I was just done with them bc I was exhausted with trying to get my stuff cleaned, moved, and stored. I was in that unit, breathing that air that could be contaminated with rodent airborne diseases like the hanta virus. They don't care because when you read your agreement, they don't offer insurance due to rodents. So they treat you like you don't matter from the get-go bc you're not "covered". read more

I have rented for quite a while but am seeking a move. The staff change fairly regularly but are decent to deal with. They used to have a 1 year lock in on the rate but eliminated it and changed to a 6 month. This is so that they can increase your rate every 6 months roughly 10% and rest assured they will without fail. Your only alternative is to rent a different unit the same size and move all your stuff on the very day of your renewal. The staff advise there is nothing they can do about it...company policy/corporate directive. If you need space for more than 6 months, keep looking. These folks are not interested in long term tenants. They want continual increasing cash flow on the backs of current clientele. Folks are now forewarned. read more

I have been a customer for over 4 years, they customarily send you rate increases. When you call them for an explanation they tell you it's a case of supply and demand. Yet they advertise cheaper rates on their website to draw new customers in. One of the explanations given to me was "that is just the way storage works". Their lack of concern for their long term customers was disappointing. read more

Well they were OK at first then I was having issues and well they auctioned off my stuff and now I have debt collectors calling me harassing me and if they would've give me a couple more day they would've had their money .
