Worst moving experience ever!! I had a contract with American Moving Company they subcontracted these guys? Now the people who came were nice and professional and did do a good job? But they took less than 1/2 what I originally had in the contract because I took a load myself? Then they still wanted more $ and said they didn't have room? That was not a big deal because I was hauling a trailer myself that still had room.. Now here is where the problems really started is the day before the delivery day they said it will be an extra $700 for a convenience fee that they can not deliver with a semi to my address? I live in the country in Tennessee with a private road where I'm the only house ? Not like I live in the city or an apartment? The horse shippers had no problem delivering in their Semi? The guy down the street has his own semi and trailer? It was just an excuse to extort more $$!! So when I called them out on it that's when they got rude! Then I got rude back! And they are refusing to deliver my stuff? There is zero customer service!! So then I looked on FB and was horrified by all the negative reviews!! Do not use them!! Pay more and use a real company like Allied!! I went with them to save $$ but they do that so you sign! And once you sign you are screwed! And the original nice guy who came to my house said that they could not put any more in the truck because they had to get somebody else's stuff that was moving to Tennessee also and that's the same truck that was going? And if they did move it to a semi? They had no permission to do so!! And if they had the address in the beginning? Who would they add $700 later? It should have been in the contract!! read more

I found these guys through a broker who contracted them on the back line, and honestly I wish I had found them to book directly so I could have left the middle man out of it. Ashley movers handled my move from start to finish with professionalism, and care. Something I learned from this cross country move process is that when you are dealing with the trucking industry, there are a lot of unknowns as far as dates and transit times. So many factors lead to that, and the process is confusing and frustrating- no matter who you go with... Ashley Movers is the only company I quoted with that actually tells you that! Brokers and big companies will say literally anything to book the deal and then leave you shocked at the wait times for your stuff to get there.... I wanna give some kudos to these guys who will be up front about what you can expect - even if it's not what you want to hear. They work with you, are communicative, and very calmly explain how they can help you - even if you aren't the most calm. I moved from SoCal to South Carolina and I would highly recommend Ashley Movers LA! Thanks for all the help guys! read more

Called Roxie in the office and she set up the details, answered all my questions, etc. When George and his Team showed up in time, they went right to work, and did t stop. No No No George was very charismatic upon arrival at our house then... once all of our belongings were in "his" truck... he became a rude condescending POS.. Of course almost doubled the $$ fee that was initially given to us. ( I wish I had said unload our things!) That would have put the ball back in our court. Then he promised us direct delivery in one week cross country which did not happen. Items missing, scratched and broken. Tip: Spray paint your boxes with any moving company... the little serial number tags they use are useless. read more

I had the most incredible experience with George and his guys today. I am moving across country and from the second we had our first call until today when they came to move my entire apartment, he was SO professional honest and invested in making sure i was comfortable with everything. George and the guys did a phenomenal job with my recent move from Santa Monica to Austin. They packed everything, unloaded quickly, got there fast, noting broken, and all for a great price. George even added a free wooden crate for my flat screen TV. They took extra precautions for Coronavirus too. Very communicative throughout and easy to get ahold of. In July of 2023 we're assigned to Ashley Movers LA by a shipping broker to move us. They lost/stole 1/3 of our household and personal items. Some of these items were priceless in nature. Almost all of our expensive clothing and shoes were taken. I contacted them to see how that many boxes could be missing. They denied having them at the warehouse in LA. They sent me to insurance that covers 60 cents on the pound of items lost. I estimate over $10,000 in lost items and based on weight I would have received $200. Corporate items from our business along with personal records and financials all taken. All this while bumping up the price at pick up. Run! Never use this company unless you have nothing to lose. read more

At first I thought this would be a great service especially with the price. Then all hell broke loose. Way to much BS in the process. All scandalous talk between brokers and movers and adding extra money. $800 worth of broken glass and furniture. Lack of everything. They delivered boxes with all fragile items on the bottom of four stacked boxes!!! Fragile stickers all over the boxes!!! They expect extra money for sloppy work. Either do it right or don't do it at all! We were told our delivery and all would be $6000. Ended up being $10,000 and I have damaged items!!! So sad how people work these days. The only good thing I could say is that it was here within a week. But being delivered at 7pm at night. Damaged walls. Scratches. Dirt marks from their feet everywhere. Give me a break. Very Happy with my experience with Ashley movers. Roxana was great with all the coordinating, and the communication couldn't have been better, she answered every question I had which was very helpful. George came to look at the items that were going to be shipped, for an estimate which honestly made the whole ordeal 100x's easier. Their quote ended up being the best, which I am so happy it happened that way. The day of the move they arrived on time, and all the movers were friendly and respectful of the items. It was 100% stress free. We had a more expensive painting that I was nervous about but George was very impressive on wrapping it and securing it which ended up being great. We got lucky and had our items shipped from LA to Portland OR in 2 days when I was first quoted 10 days. Everything arrived exactly how it left.
