I do not recommend renting from this storage place they are priced way too high, they attached late fees when the payment is scheduled and not late for no reason, charging absurd pre- closure fees of $120. They pick and choose when they want to attach late fees. Meaning they aren't consistent across the board. Sometimes the payment was late with no additional charges and other months it was paid on time and they still attached late fee. Even when I explained that my brother committed suicide and that I had to pay for his funeral did they still attach a pre-closure fee when I came in and made a partial payment prior and completed the balance within 10 days. No consideration for what people may be going through or suffering. No condolences for my loss they are very cold hearted profiling people hustling them out of their money. And here's the icing on the cake today I received an email informing me that they would no longer give courtesy calls before they are going to cut locks they will just auction your space off. Kinda sounds like how Paris Hiltons storage was sold after missing a payment. I have attached the email. If you've been doing this for the 4+ years that I've been renting the storage from you why would you choose to stop other than it being greed and you wanting to sell peoples belongings for no reason. I pay you monthly rent the least you can do is give me a complementary courtesy call if you're going to lock me out my unit. I might have life lifing me and now you're gonna make it worse. What happened to being a kind human being? What happened to just doing the right thing? You just lost a customer cause somebody don't wanna do the job they've been doing. It's not anything new it's not something that just started they have done it for years and now you're choosing to stop making courtesy calls before you lock someone out there unit I hope this gets news coverage this is ridiculous. Better yet I am going to look at my contract and see if it's there because if it's not I feel like y'all might be getting sued so I hope you read the fine print. And I hope someone treats you and your belongings this way so that you know how it feels to play with peoples lives. Shady business practices that are run by greedy people portraying they have your best interest in mind. This has to be one of the shittiest business practices that I have seen in my life again if this is something that you have always done whether it's in the lease contract or not why would you choose to stop when you could really be saving someone from losing the most important items in their life. For those of you new to self storage, this place is great.This is the first time I ever stored anything, although I was a little nervous about the whole idea, I have had a great experience. (customer since 2021) I was able to negotiate for a space over the phone, signed digitally..even bought a lock and some extra storage boxes from the front office. I rarely have a problem parking, there is alway a cart to help me bring items to or from the unit and and the hallways are always clear, clean and well lit. Other customers are low key and considerate.The office staff is responsive, helpful and nice. With the end of my current contract I need to downsize into a smaller unit. Celine may the transfer smooth and easy. She is super easy to work with and made a real effort to accommodate my timeline. The combination of a coded gate, a coded elevator and a lock on my unit gives me confidence my items are secure. read more

I have zero complaints about Extra Space Storage. They were easy to set up, had space for my car, and personable staff. I felt like my car was safe and did not get parked in. They even followed up with me after I forgot to end my contract after taking my car. The worst storage unit I've ever rented. Location is a poor design making it impossible to come and go without having to back out of the driveway onto incoming traffic so the cars on the inside can leave. You have to block someone's storage unit to park. No access to parking when inside the gate. My storage was on the outside and it was always blocked by another customers car making it impossible to access my unit. Celine the office worker is very rude and needs to take a course in customer service. Also, there is an older gentleman in the office that is very unfriendly. My lock was tampered with twice and the second time someone tried to cut it off. Very shady customers or workers here. There are too many storages in the area to patronize this business. I'll happily pay $375 somewhere else to ensure my belongings are safe and secure as well as not have anxiety knowing you are blocking someone's unit. read more

They charge your rate after a few months they never said our rate would go up and when I called them about it all they had to say was it at in the terms !! That's something they should mention at the time they required all kinds of signatures and initials !!!! Don't go here very deceiving!!! Quite possibly the worst place ever. I had a unit for years. There's not enough time in the world to tell all the horror stories. But after them hiking the price up extortionately like thieves. The day I move out I get to the gate at 6am with my movers (who charge by the hour) and some idiot forgot to take into account daylight savings and I can't get into the unit. That's another 200 bucks that I have to pay the movers that this crappy place has stolen off me. No apology, no compensation, no anything. Edit; Please take no notice of the generic, pathetic reply at the end of my review. The fact that they even have a generic reply that they copy and paste for every complaint (and there's thousands) says it all. Stay clear of this horrendous place. read more

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this facility has been to me. Maria really helped me in a bad situation and was so alert to her customers and their needs. She saw suspicious activity at my friend's unit and tried to notify my friend. She found it odd that his payment was late, because he had always been on time. And instead of saying, "Whelp, let's auction this abandoned unit," Maria went above and beyond trying to figure out why he had not paid. Long story short, she secured his unit from some nefarious individuals trying to gain access while the owner was in the hospital. That was a huge relief to me and my friend's family My friend passed away. Maria made herself personally available and was so accommodating to his family. We were all strangers to her, but she treated us with so much compassion and respect during a difficult time. I really hope corporate is paying attention because this person is a shining star. She is one in a million. Maria helped me more than she will ever know. I'm so lucky she was there. read more

My stuff is safe i really like the fact that you need codes to get into the main gate entrance also you need a code to get into one of the secured doors they have to get inside the storage and everything works elevator the lights all those things matter and they also gave me a good price on renting my storage my stuff is safe and secure also I can't forget how absolutely kind all the staff are even the handy man is really nice so if your looking for a storage to rent here you go you won't regret it read more

I would not recommend this place. The girl that lives there and is supposed to be a professional is a joke. During the pandemic I was late leaving one night by which would have been a couple of minutes. But when I went to put something in the car, the door locked me out of the building with my dog trapped inside and the door to my unit left wide open. Now yes I was a little late because time got away from me and my help never showed up. But this little issue took me almost an hour to get the door opened again. A guy came from somewhere and let me in the building. When I go upstairs the girl that lives there came out of nowhere yelling, cussing, and screaming at me like I was in a prison camp or something. Not hey I'm sorry you got locked out, or is your dog okay? Or next time call me if this happens. No it went straight to wtf are you doing? Why are u f'n here? And when my girlfriend tried to calm her down and Pexplain to her the door locked me out. She immediately shot her down and kept on acting like a rotten adolescent. You just don't get respect from employees these days. And what is really messed up, I had to move. I was threatened about my stuff getting auctioned off and never was I informed of what was going on until my check came back return to sender. So yeah terrible customer service and very rude people with no people skills. She begs everyone that rents a unit to please put a good review for her so she can move into the building. Now that she got into the building she shows her true colors. I hate to be so cold on a review but this one deserves it. Parking is terrible, and access to all of the units is a complete pain in the ass. Find a different location, you will be much happier I guarantee it. Way over crowded with 2 entrance doors for the whole compound of units. When there is 5 people at one door trying to do something it's impossible. And most importantly my large jewelers box is gone. And several other items. I only noticed this after moved to my new unit. read more

They could've gotten 5 stars from, me but.... After scoping out a number of potential storage places, I found one that looked to be one of the more inexpensive options, and a quick drive-by let me know why... The storage units weren't much more than glorified sheds behind a chain link fence, and a homeless man had set up camp out front - YIKES. Extra Storage was right down the street from this place, and their (online) price was about the same, so I was skeptical. A quick visit put my fears to rest. The on-site person, Maria, was helpful and not pushy at all. When I let her know I was unwilling to make a reservation on the spot because the online prices were cheaper, she actually supported my decision. The site itself is clean and safe - you need a PIN to open the gate for both entrance and exit, and the hallways are wide with motion-sensor lighting - and nothing at all like the nightmare down the street. I went home and made my online reservation and, according to the website there was some sort of $10 fee (okay, fine... the online rate was still $13/mo cheaper than the on-site rate), but I got a free lock and my first month free with an AAA discount code so yay!. When I went in to complete the process is when things started to get shady. I was quoted a rate that was $10 more than online - oh, says the clerk (not Maria, btw), that's for insurance. Well, I have renters' insurance and was able to produce documentation to that effect (thank god for smartphones), so the $10 went away. Then all of a sudden, in addition to the $10 fee I was charged online, I had to pay a $20 processing fee? Isn't that what the clerk is paid to do at that desk? Oh, and if you want them to email you a monthly reminder about your bill, that's an extra dollar a month.,,wtf??? All in all, the positives outweighed the negatives, but lucky for me I have AAA, renters insurance and my own bill calendar, otherwise I'd have spent a lot more money... read more

I have rented a unit from this location for the past 6 years and finally had the nerve to bid it adieu and bring all my fiancé's records to the house! I have no major complaints other than the rental fee was increased several times on the larger unit I had during the rental term. I moved to a smaller unit to save some money and was again victim to cost of living increases. Blah!! The facility manager Maria was very nice and always accommodating. Make sure to double check rate and your credit card receipt. I was overcharged by accident but wAs refused a refund of the amount overcharged even though I pointed out the error on the same day. Instead I was told the amount would be credited to my account. That is NOT acceptable - they should have cancelled the credit card charge and entered the correct amount. Spoke to a manager. Affordable, super easy and very pleasant. I recently downsized to a studio and needed a place to store files, seasonal clothes, books and the like. The price here was the best around and the online reservation process was super easy. Maria, the manager, was very accommodating and helpful, and the building is clean and secure. I've been renting a space as my workshop at Extra Space for almost a year now, and even though in this economy I might be able to find something slightly cheaper per month, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Why? Because Maria and Rene (the on-site managers) are amazing. They are helpful, friendly, and all-around nice people, always there to lend a hand. And when I can't be there to take delivery of new equipment, Maria is happy to take delivery for me! No more taking time off work to sit around waiting for deliveries. This place will try anything to rip you off... They failed to set up my account properly with autopay like I requested. Then when I noticed I hadn't been charged and called, they told me it was my fault that they set it up wrong, so I had to pay over $50 in late fees. Expect lots of hidden fees and unexpected charges and horrible customer service. The employees are extremely rude and unhelpful and they will lie in order to collect more fees. The Manager Maria is very pleasant, and polite ( though a tad befuddled when you need to bring something to her attention. ) For example, when I went ask about the Fleas, and Moths that have invaded the center, Maria just sort of laughed it off, and said that someone else had mentioned they found Fleas.
