Been a customer for a while now. The staff there have always been friendly and polite. Mike is great. Very helpful. I needed to have my lock replaced after someone stole my keys and he was super efficient about the replacement process. The process felt very secure. I never doubted the security there, but seeing what Mike had to do to get the old lock off was impressive. What I really like about this place: The security gate and cameras. But mostly the AC. It's difficult to keep storage centers cool in Arizona in the summer. This one manages to do it. I'm not worried my candles will melt here. I used to have two storage spaces, one with a competitor. As I've sized down, I closed the competitor space. Extra Space Storage is all I need. read more

Buyer beware! Rate increased by 53% after 3 months! Also had an issue getting in initially because the clerk told me that semi trucks frequently delivered there but the truck delivering my furniture did not fit. Had to switch to another location on moving day while the truck sat there waiting. It was a very stressful experience. read more

Storage is great and clean and all but I got my unit 2 MONTHS ago and I am already receiving a notice of a rent increase of $90??? It's just ridiculous how they trap you in with a reasonable price and then boom, you're paying almost double in a blink of an eye every month. If the price seems good when you get a price quote don't expect it to stay that way, it will quickly escalate. It's disappointing. read more

My youngest son was furloughed from his work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Was trying to work out payments which I managed to. I asked in good faith if they would waive any late charges, they refused. Also charging him $89.00 for a pre-foreclosure fee which we aren't foreclosing. Give the kid a break. Nope not them. Unsatisfied customer. Called the number Emily S. Mentioned below. Received a call from Erin as my issue was bubbled up to her. Same thing. Don't care. Waiving 1 late fee. $12.50 will be taken off a months rent. They are probably getting funds from the government however they will not help anyone but themselves. Poor, sad and pathetic. $89.00 to my son is a lot of money. To them it's peanuts. Buy, shop and only support local. read more

I easily reserved a storage space online. Quick and efficient. I received a reply and my storage unit will be ready and a lock waiting for me inside. I drove, found the unit and there was a lock I store some goods locked it up. At that moment I received the phone call from the office asking if everything was okay I said fine I stopped in to the office and spoke with Mike who was very helpful. All in all I'm very successful operation no hassle just nice people and it really clean storage facility I highly recommend it read more

I have used other extra space locations in the past but they don't compare to this one! I used the facility for a short term rental. The facility is very clean and well maintained location is very safe and had no fear leaving my items their. Also every time I came the facility was pretty empty and felt the location was very safe. What really brings the experience all together is Mike! I have to say he has always been professional and kind and has helped me with any issues I have had! Hands down would recommend this facility over other. Will be back for my other storage needs in the future. Work with Mike he is the Man!!! read more

I have no idea why it only shows two stars but you can tell that this place has been totally revamped and I had a great customer service from the gentleman at the front desk in the midst of my chaos in moving and closing my business it was super easy to get a storage unit online so that I was able to go in there late at night after office hours and the lock for my unit was already inside of the unit I got the code emailed to me to enter the gate and it was seamless when I went the next day the gentleman at the front desk gladly went around back just to make sure that I got into my unit with no problems and I definitely will Be referring my friends and family to use this facility read more

Very easy to book online. I was able to do the whole process without visiting in-person yet, I received service like someone was present walking me through each step. The team was very responsive and Mike was extremely nice. Would highly recommend storing your items with Extra Space. read more

Extra Space Storage in Peoria, AZ - Watch out - they OFTEN RAISE PRICES after you move your stuff in because they know it's not convenient for you to move your stuff out - It was OK at the beginning but they started raising prices. Just this month my unit went from me paying $65 a month to almost $110 a month! I will be leaving and going to a more affordable storage place. I found one just as nice and close to me for $55 a month. read more

We rented several sized units over the past 2 years when a family member moved in with us. The facility is very very very clean, well lit and secure. The staff is very professional and welcoming. At one point we needed a size that wasn't available. They kept following up on their end and did find a spot for us. We weren't forgotten. This may not be the least expensive facility in the area but I doubt there is one better in overall facility management. read more

I can't believe how clean this facility is. No trash, weeds, dirt, dust, spiderwebs. Nothing. And the office staff were friendly and professional. They even matched the online price of the unit I was looking at. All of this coupled with the incredible security measures---what more can I say. You won't be disappointed. read more

I went to the office after reserving a unit online to view the unit and rent it. I made sure to reserve online as it stated it was the only unit of that size left. Upon arriving, I was told that there were multiple of that size, which was frustrating as I made sure to arrange my day to get down there and claim it. Also, when I asked what the total would be, they asked "which site did I see the unit on "? Apparently they don't want to offer you the best price if you saw/expected to pay more. After agreeing on the price, they conveniently told me that they also require their renters to have insurance on the unit based on the value stored. First of all, I've rented 3-4 units in the past, all from different companies, and never once did I have to buy insurance. I understand they don't want to be liable for any damages, but it felt sneaky the way it wasn't listed on their site and I wasn't informed of it over the phone when talking with the office. They didn't even mention it as we looked over the unit, I wasn't informed of it until I was about to pay. Also, it was pretty pricey for a storage unit, around $17-20 just for $3000 coverage. I only pay $11/month for renters insurance on my apartment and that covers $100,000. I informed them the other units I had called on did not require insurance and they said nothing. So I thanked them for their time (although the weren't considerate of mine) and left. There are way too many storage facilities around for them to not compete for or at least pretend business is valuable. read more
