Same company registered under 2 names.

HORRIBLE! They dropped our car off in front of Goodyear IN THE RED ZONE... Towed that night, along with three others conveniently. It was to be left on private property, NOT the street. They are partners with AAA (who is livid after the complaint and we are still working with them to make this right)- Extreme Towing got paid from AAA then again (almost $600 from us "cash only"). The SCPD are now involved along with Goodyear and AAA. (Helps that this is apparently their MO and they all want to get them and Coast Counties is their other company- why they have 2 names we don't know)... shut down and fined.

My husband's truck was hit on Highway 17 by an Extreme Towing tow truck in January. The driver was using the center divide to try to get to an accident on 17 and hit his side mirror then kept going. CHP took a report, went to Extreme Towing did measurements etc and found the tow truck that had hit his truck and found they were at fault. We sent the CHP report and contact information to our insurance company. The company will not return emails or phone calls from our insurance or myself. Since January! The receptionist Andrea told me today April 25th to stop calling and take them to court. Then hung up on me.

This is my car when it got rear-ended 5 days ago right before Extreme Towing towed it away. I have not seen my car since then.

Extreme must mean extremely bad. When the driver arrived the first time he was going so fast that he missed us and had to loop around to pick up my car. The driver had no cards or paperwork for me. I only let him tow it because the CHP officer vouched for him. I was told the car would be taken to the body shop of my choice but it has not. They asked for a release to move the car, which I gave them and they still didn't tow my car to the body shop. It's been five days now and I don't know where my car is, they don't seem to know where it is and they don't seem to know when they're going to get it to the body shop. I need this car to get to work and they do not seem to care. EXTREMELY BAD TOWING

One of their trucks almost hit two cars trying to merge because it was swerving in and out of traffic and speeding.

They refused to take my credit card after my son lost his temper, they kicked us out of the office. When we came back the next day, they charged us 3 days of storage after having the car for under 36 hours. If your car gets there at 11.59pm, they charge you for that calendar day. They are rude and insulting on the phone because they know they have you by the short hairs. If you are in an accident, DO NOT let the police call you a tow because they will call this grifter company. Call AAA or anyone else if you can. Also, this operation is owned by the same people who own "lifesaver tow" in Felton so do not use them either. They have a contract with the local police who should be ashamed of themselves for elevating these thieves into a position of power over people who are already dealing with a bad situation.

So, a $265 ticket to be disputed. Thanks Meter Maid Jessica Goode! Enter Autocare "Lifesaver" Towing, with it's lucrative and exclusive partnership with the Santa Cruz Police Department. Our gripe with "Lifesaver" is this: They're beyond rude on the phone. They have rules in place that make it extremely difficult to release your car: "Lifesaver" can't release the car to anyone but the registered owner (their own rule; this is not the law). In our case the registered owner is out of town. So "Lifesaver" here says, rudely, we will send you an Absentee Authorization that the registered owner must get notarized. Oh, and it's $150/night for every day you don't pick it up. Oh, and YOU MUST MAIL THE NOTARIZED FORM VIA SNAIL MAIL BEFORE WE WILL ALLOW A DIFFERENT PERSON TO PICK UP THE CAR. Oh, and we will wait until the end of the day to send you the form to be notarized so that's another $150 for us. Also, $150/night for the days it takes for the mail to get to us and for us to bother opening it. "Lifesaver" doesn't have a fax machine. "Lifesaver" doesn't use e-signatures. One can only conclude that "Lifesaver" finds snail mail to be far more lucrative. Thanks "Lifesaver." You're super duper! "Lifesaver" will hold on to your car with every little trick in the book, and on Day 3, they begin preparing Lien paperwork, which will add another $250, just in case you don't pick up the car and pay their usury within 30 days. Here, they depart from their normally slo-mo, old-timey snail mail ways, and get right to it. Incidentally, the owner, operating in Watsonville and Santa Cruz, California, is Kelvin Ramer. He serves as the President of KJRB Inc., the parent company of Auto Care Lifesaver Towing . His wife, Janette Ramer, is the Chief Financial Officer of the company. If they're rich, and I suspect they are, they've gotten there by grifting every dime they can out of honest hardworking people. I'm putting this here because when I asked the person I spoke to at "Lifesaver," who owned the company, his response was, "He doesn't like us to give out that information." Yeah, I'll bet he doesn't. Additionally, Kelvin Ramer is known in the monster truck community as a driver and sponsor. Auto Care Towing sponsors the Living the Dream Race Team trucks . We will be filing a consumer complaint with the Santa Cruz District Attorney as anyone else reading this who's had similar issues should. This is, as I said, a shameful business run by grifters. If the DMV is slow renewing your registration, CSO Jessica Goode of Santa Cruz as well as Mr. and Mrs. Ramer figure you might as well be a criminal. Thanks guys. Keep Making America Great!

I understand there are various reasons for interacting with a towing company. The reviews here…read moreseem to stem from unpleasant circumstances. In my case, we had a flat tire while we were parked at the Capitola Wharf parking on Cliff Drive after a wonderful day of celebrating my birthday. As soon as we realized we had a flat tire, we called AAA and since the first alternative of replacing with our spare donut tire would not be safe for the distance we have to drive back home, AAA connected us with this towing company. Francisco came to our rescue with a very clean tow truck, a kind and pleasant demeanor, and an efficient and professional manner to get the work done. I would not wish to use their services again for obvious reasons, but if one does require their services, I highly recommend them.

They worked with AAA which in turn called Coast counties towing to help me. Jake was on site in less than fifteen minutes. This is important because it was almost 5:00 pm and the closest Big O tires on Soquel st was closing at 5:30 pm but we had called and they said that they could sell us the correct tire and service us before closing. Jake was super quick at getting the Toyota on the tow truck and getting me on my way to Big o Tires. I was worried that ai was too close to closing time and that BOT would not take care of me tonight so Jake suggested checking with Lloyds down the road to see if they could take care of me instead. When we got to BOT, at 4:35, they had already closed! Jake was very patient throughout the whole process and agreed to take me to Lloyds instead. He waited on the side of the road while I confirmed that Lloyds could take care of me and was very flexible adjusting to my plans as they were evolving. He made a very stressful situation much easier to handle. So I give six starts to Jake at Coast counties for being quick, professional, compassionate and kind!
