With full disclosure, I am married, and I believe so is Dr Laura Ha. But the first thing that struck me when I came into Eyecon was that the optometrist was really pretty. I'm not a creep with leery eyes; I'm just making the point that if you have to deal with having an eye exam for new glasses or contacts, you might as well be looking at some eye candy while doing it. It seems that the office opened not too long ago, so all the equipment is state of the art and brand new. Dr. Ha is really knowledgeable and friendly....she was ridiculously calming while telling me that I developed a condition with the lining of my cornea. I haven't really needed glasses for that long (about 5 years...) but this office gave me the cheapest price for designer glasses that I've ever had. I wanted to avoid the lenscrafter glasses factory mill experience but I also didn't want to feel robbed of my money, and I left Eyecon satisfied that I got exactly what I wanted. I suck at haggling, and Dr. Ha could have easily taken advantage of that, but she was really generous with her discount off the price before insurance so I didn't even have to negotiate. All in all, I'm happy I found a great optometry office in my area, as they can be really hard to find. I will surely be back. Since this is yelp after all, make sure you don't leave the area without trying the vietnamese pho restaurants in the same parking center -- they're awesome. read more

Eyecon Optometry is definitely my place to go for eye exams! Not only that the staff is super welcoming and friendly, but Dr. Laura Ha is also someone who knows what she's doing and would give me detailed explanation of what's going on with my eyes. I felt very comfortable throughout my whole visit, plus they have a really CUTE set of frame collections. They maintain a very safe and sanitary environment at the office. Super cute eye clinic, great staff, excellent value, and very caring professionals! Dr. Ha is comprehensive, professional, punctual, and most importantly--very caring. After a zero-minute wait and a comprehensive exam, Dr. Ha discovered that I had not been taking care of my eyes as I should've been--which i'm guilty of. She proceeded to provide excellent tips and advice on how to better care for my eyes. She was genuine, warm, sincere, and I really felt I was in good hands. Afterwards, the office manager helpfully provided more great suggestions and ordered my contacts immediately. And I left with a big smile on my face :) I'm definitely coming back to get new glasses too. They have an awesome variety of high-quality and high end frames. As a first time patient I had an appointment for an eye exam and prescription glasses for my slowly degrading vision. The interior of this place is really well designed & maintained, and looks nothing like what you'd expect haha. The staff was very attentive and eager to help answer any questions & handle my paperwork. I didn't have to wait long before one of the assistants helped walk me through the beginning testing processes before the doctor would see me. They have very clean and well appointed exam rooms with advanced machines for the vision tests. When the doctor came in she was very friendly and social! Excellent bedside manner and very thorough with explaining the process of what she would be doing for me. After showing me what my eyes looked like from digital imagery she explained that my eyes were in good health and that my prescription would not be too drastic to clear up my slight vision issues. I was then escorted to another area where I could pick through the vast style of frame manufacturers for my glasses. It was a fun and easy process of finding what worked for my facial structure and before I knew it they had it all written up and ready to process. They also offer the ability to have your sunglasses fitted with your prescription. Which I definitely took advantage of as I love my Rayban wayfarers. The classic LA look! They said it would take about a week to have them returned from the lab. But the frames I bought from them for my new clear lens were able to be made and fitted within an hour! They ended up completing them in under 40min!! No joke! That's amazingly fast work! The whole process took less than 2 hours to do and I was able to leave with my new glasses on. Couldn't be happier with how they handled my visit and the services rendered! I'd highly recommend anyone to give them a visit for your vision needs. Now that I'm a bifocal wearer this will be the usual go-to spot for whatever I'll need! I can't speak on pricing compared to other places as this was my first & only experience. But it didn't seem that costly for what I got. An eye exam, new pair of frames with clear lens, and tinted prescription lens for my fav sunglasses. I paid all out of pocket due to no insurance, but I didn't feel like I was over paying. In fact, I felt really good about my purchase and the Eyecon staff I dealt with! You won't be disappointed with your visit, and I understand now why they have such good reviews. I wish more establishments were this pleasurable to deal with! read more

I've been coming here for years, but each year the quality of the service and in this case, the glasses, seems to be going down. I understand with COVID going on things are going to be a little different, but it's frustrating when you wait 2 weeks for glasses, then come in to get them and they are already damaged. So now, I have to wait another 2 weeks to get them when this could have been avoided if the lab they use had any kind of quality control measures in place. Also, I've had to contact them multiple times in the past 2 weeks about an insurance question (to get a treatment that they suggested and I'm willing to pay for) yet they still haven't gotten back to me about my insurance coverage for this. The reason I'm giving eyecon a 3 star review is because of Dr. Chen. I have been coming to eyecon for years and Dr. Ha has and the rest of staff have always been so kind and amazing. Today I took my little to eyecon and she saw Dr. Chen. My little sister eye prescription increased and Dr. Chen blamed her and made her feel guilty for it. She said words like "that's weird no one has ever told you that" , "your prescription is very worrisome", "you have abnormal eyes." She said all of this in a condescending voice. When I went to talk to her about the way she treated my sister, she gaslighted us. She rolled her eyes, and was very unprofessional. She threw my little sisters anxiety in her face. As a health professional myself, these are things you don't do to your patient. If you are planning on going here please don't see Dr. Chen. I really hope Eyecon optometry takes the steps to make sure that Dr. Chen doesn't treat other patients the way she treated my little sister. read more

Eyecon has youthful, stylish and modern eyeglass frames. The selection is great but has room for more. I was more impressed with the service I received. The staff members including Dr. Laura were very courteous, friendly, attentive, professional, and most important of all, efficient. I was only stopping by to browse on my way home from work because it was a new store. I was led to EyeCon via a Living Social deal and am so happy I found this place. The eye exam was quick, thorough and accurate. Dr, Ha knows her stuff! Prior to going to EyeCon, I've usually gone to Lenscrafters, so I'll just make the comparisons. Lenscrafters - different Optometrist every time. They come and go. EyeCon - Dr. Ha owns the place. She'll be there. Lenscrafters atmosphere - I dunno, unimaginative? Chain store-ish? EyeCon - Slick and welcoming. Want some licorice? Maybe a pretzel? Lenscrafters selection - They have tons of frames with 90% of them being bland. EyeCon carries the expensive Italian stuff I want as well as cutting edge stuff from Japan and Germany. The frames you want on your head. And EyeCon offers a personalized boutique experience without the Beverly Hills boutique price. Sure, I picked expensive frames and the best lenses available, but I would have paid a lot more over the hill. The finishing touch? When I went to pick up my glasses a week later, I was given a little gift bag with lens cleaner, a $50 gift card good towards my next pair, a pen and I bet I could have filled the rest of the bag to the top with licorice and pretzels. Try getting that at Lenscrafters or CostCo or Walmart. read more

Untrained back staff...training in front of customers, which is fine for adults, but not in front of kids. Not a good experience for my daughter. Fyi...post and expect a call from the doctor. Follow up...when I posted "training", I meant staff training new staff. Since we started coming to Eyecon we have been greeted everytime with smiles and positivity! Got the whole family checked out. The only thing i didnt like was a male older worker, he is hispanic, it seems he is more interested in getting his commision for the eyewear he sells than our actual needs . Because all 3 times we were getting eyewear for myself my daughter and my hubby he wanted us to get the most expensive one available, when i asked for the prescription to get it filled somewhere else he walked away talking bad under his breath . Which was so unprofessional. The good thing is our doctor was fine with us getting our eyewear elsewhere . Now Sandra i believe her name is was very helpful with my daughters eyewear which we did get here because it was covered by her insurance .
