Neither I or my father in law could work out what they actually do here! I wanted to fix a pair of glasses and 1) first they told me that they would try to fix one of the legs but if they snapped it, they could not be help responsible. So I told them not to do it. 2) o asked whether they sold the glasses leg so that it could be repaired, they told me to buy it online 3) I asked them whether they had some similar frames and she said that I would have had to get frames but I would have had to get new lenses (the expensive part), they would not adjust my lenses to a new frame. So I asked them what did they actually do in that shop, they responded me they they could not repair glasses but only adjust them. I decided to leave as I was appalled. Once home I talked to my father in law said that he had a similar experience, that they could not change the lenses of his frame. I am actually appalled that this place is still running as nothing of what I had asked was possible (and I did not ask for rocket science...) I would have given a zero star if I could have. read more

My brother and I always come here first to shop around for our glasses. I usually get 1 pair of sunglasses and a pair of regular glasses. The buy one get one pair of glasses seems purposely misleading with all the extra add-on costs that aren't covered. Overall, the selection and purchase was ok. I was told the glasses would be finished an hour earlier than they were and had to wait. I wouldn't go back, but it wasn't terrible. Still haven't had a chance to wear the glasses but have measuring marks on them that I can't get off. read more

I purchased glasses at the camarillo location. I was helped out by a fantastic gentleman named Steven. I was not sure if it was better for me to use my insurance and receive out of network benefits or to purchase the groupon deal I found. Steven helped me make that decision and calculated what was the best thing for me to do. He helped me pick out a pair of sunglasses and a pair or regular prescription glasses that by the way were free. I am so satisfied with the service I received. I ventured out and discovered the Eyeglass Factory in Ventura. They accepted my insurance, "VSP" and the Optometrist was conveniently located next door, who also accepts my insurance. The staff/ doctor was very helpful and I was excited about my purchase. Eye exam, 2 plastic frames with lenses, 1 frame plastic lenses, the other frames plastic lenses with light adapted transition lenses with VSP insurance for 160.00 out the door. My only issue was the LAB at the VENTURA LOCATION. The staff at the front did everything to appease me but the lenses kept coming back SCRATCHED (two times). Also, the frames were melted with a fingerprint impression at the bridge of the nose after the lab got a hold of them. Take your glasses outside before you leave the store... The natural light will show the scratches on the lens's (really bad and deep).Their lighting is too dark and the florescent lighting isn't really reliable when looking for the imperfections. I ended up taking my purchase to the CAMARILLO LOCATION. Their LAB there did an AMAZING JOB, and I was really impressed at how helpful both locations were, that is why I rated five stars. I can't STRESS ENOUGH that, If you ever need FUTURE LAB WORK, I recommend CAMARILLO's LOCATION. read more

My sunglasses needed new nose pieces. Nice place plenty of selection of glasses. Amanda welcomed me and asked if I needed any help. I showed her my sunglasses and she said sure thing, we can fix that. She put on new noses pieces with in 2 minutes and cleaned my glasses. I asked how much do I owe, she said it's free. They do not charge for repairs. I thanked her so much. This really is a good place , plenty of seating and nicely airconditioned. My glasses look new again. Fast and free. And friendly. Wow, AWESOME customer service in every sense of the word. Nice people from welcoming, helping to the finished product. I've gotten several glasses there and taken two of my friends. I HIGHLY recommend them. They are a little out of the way and you have to look for them, but once you know they are there, you'll be back next time you need their help. We just went to get glasses made. A lady named Phyllis helped us. She was smart, professional and friendly. What more could we ask for?? We were expecting a 2 week turn around on the glasses to be made, but to my surprise she said we could pick them up tomorrow. Tomorrow! i was gobsmacked. I have tried to go to this location twice and was turned away because of different reasons. The first time, the doctor was not there when she was supposed to be so I made an appointment to make sure a walk in would not be a waste of time. When I came in for my appointment they said their equipment was not working. It hadn't been working all morning but they did not bother to call and tell us that we would have to reschedule. I drove from Thousand Oaks and they didnt even bother to call. Really unprofessional and disrespectful to their customers. They had hours to call us and did not even offer an apology for their inaction. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone. read more

I have been going her for a few years now. I usually have to adjust my glasses my self when I get home, they don't really care to take the time to help me with this. A few months ago I bought 2 new pairs there, I noticed the one set with anti scratch treatment were scratched bad. I have worn glasses for years , this is the first pair I have ever scratched. They did warrany them. Now, a few weeks later the new pair are scratched again, same treatment. Kind of strange that both pairs that have this costly scratch resistance treatment are the only pair of glasses I ever scratched. I am done, not worth the cheap prices when you have to keep buying more pairs. read more

Not a lot of glasses here if you are looking for the frameless bottoms glasses that most of us love. Also the worst part is the customer service especially if you get the lady we got on Tuesday morning with the dark brown hair who never smiles and seems to hate working there. The man who returned my after hours call was excellent. Too bad he was not there when we went in today. Worst experience ever... "Steve" was a jerk... My wife bought a pair of glasses here,Exchanged them because they were uncomfortable. When switching them out, who ever makes the lenses damaged the frames. "Steve" tried to down play it.. we heard him whisper to the other worker "just replace the lens".. i had to correct him and let him know, the frame was damaged. He again tried to pull a fast one on us, saying "they're only replacing the lenses". I had to correct him and say, the frames are damaged and showed him a total of 3 times before he acknowledge them.(Although AGAIN we heard him "whisper" i don't see it) Ive bought glasses from the Ventura store numerous of times with never any problem, so when the store in Camarillo was opened i was excited BUT, "Steve" proved they were no ware close to the quality, or customer service the Ventura store is. This is THE best eyeglass store!!!! I was visiting from out-of-town and my glasses broke, so I was a little freaked out. The Eyeglass Factory in Camarillo saved the day! I went in and they were so helpful, had an amazing selection, and the prices were unbelievably reasonable!! And, what a gorgeous store with everything displayed so beautifully. It was so easy to just try on tons of cool frames. Best of all, my replacement pair was ready in ONE HOUR, thanks to their onsite lab. I wish we had a store like this where I live! read more
