I also thought the service was a good value for the level of work they provided. What I especially appreciated was that they worked with me to find a solution when my plans changed. At one point, I was considering storing my belongings at their warehouse for less than a week. Rather than simply taking the additional business, they told me it did not make sense to move everything from the original location into warehouse storage for such a short period because it would unnecessarily increase my costs. That advice was one of the reasons I ultimately decided to use PODS instead. My moving needs did change at the last minute, which made the overall move more expensive than I had originally planned, but that was because of the changing logistics, not because they were trying to increase the price. I really appreciated that they were focused on helping me find the most practical and cost-effective solution. I would absolutely recommend them.

TERRIBLE business. SO mad at myself for not knowing better.*** I guess I should have come to Yelp before booking. Looks like I am not the only one, don't know if that makes me feel better or worse. When I called Karen was awesome and I was so excited for the service. Silly me. I have moved 10 times before this in as many years. This is BY FAR the worst experience I have had. I KNOW how long it takes to move my place. Not only did this take more than TWICE as long with allegedly a whole other person, they brought a fourth unauthorized guy. And still took more than half the time. One guy sat in the truck most of the time, I have pictures, the others didn't start on my kitchen until the end, had to wait for that....later to find out when I went back to the old apartment they hadn't even finished the whole kitchen ...ran over my allotted time at the building I was moving out of, at my cost. And then they ruined my couch. So I paid DOUBLE what I was expecting, which was already more than what was quoted cause I was adding a little buffer, but ended up tipping a whole additional person because I'm not a jerk. The guys were nice but inefficient. Kept saying this is what you get with a higher quality mover, but it was not even a better experience. They were wasteful with the amount of packing supplies they used, never presented or communicated the prices of the materials they were using, which I was told was included anyway but also others I never approved or asked for. Just popped it on me in the end. Oh and then they say "we are going to adjust your time by 15 min you'll see a refund on your card" and two and a half weeks later still waiting for it to even show pending at least. But you better believe the charge was instant. I was debating sharing my feedback but was so mad I finally emailed the company. But no one had even dignified me with not even an automated response, just silence. So I come here to do something I pretty much never do. But that's how annoyed I am. Sorry but would rather recommend. Cheap Movers, way better. I used last move were a thousand times better and a QUARTER of the price. I'm not even cheap but I hate being taken for a fool, and it turned out to be just that. That's what I get what I get for using hourly movers for the first time, never again. A slow work scam, exactly what I was worried about, but like an idiot I bought into the reassurances Karen gave me but they truly let her down. I hope she knows they're having her selling lies.

She seemed very put out by the need to put on a mask and she did not wear it over her nose. Within the first hour she had removed it completely. She told me to relax while she organized my living room. We had piles of papers and mail in addition to other clutter. She was given an empty trash bag at the beginning to use. In the end, she had cleared out two bookshelves and organized the coffee table. There was a lot of going up/down stairs to put things away so I think she used the time appropriately. My concern was that after she left, I was looking for 2 envelopes that my husband had received with gift cards as a tip from his job. He had not opened the envelopes yet but they each contained a $50 gift card. He thought he had left them with the papers in the living room, but he was not completely sure. I texted Latricia to ask if she had seen it in the living room. She said she could not remember but if she had, she may have accidentally thrown it out. I found the trash bag that she had used, and this was a bag that was exclusively used by her, and I searched through it and found the envelopes only they were opened and the gift cards were removed. I texted Latricia again asking if she opened any of the mail in order to help declutter and if so, does she recall seeing the gift cards. She stopped answering me at that point. My husband and I were the only other people in our house from the time he received those gift cards until I found the empty envelopes in the trash. Next time, take the evidence with you Latricia. We would have thought we misplaced the envelopes somewhere else in the house. But you left the evidence of the empty envelopes in the trash bag you used. Really dumb mistake. Thank you for making it obvious though. Mystery of missing gift cards solved. I do not recommend trusting Latricia to declutter your house.

It seems to be the same small team of three men and one woman, and every single one of them has consistently been friendly, patient, communicative, and genuinely helpful. Over the years, they've gotten used to seeing me, and there's now that easy, welcoming rapport that makes it feel like a true neighborhood store. When I bring my dog in, they always make sure he gets a treat, which is such a small thing but says a lot about the atmosphere they've created. I regularly have to use UPS, FedEx, and USPS depending on what I'm shipping, and I can confidently say I am always happiest when the package gets to go through UPS. That's entirely because of the people working at this location. After three years of consistently great customer service, they deserve some recognition. Thank you to the whole team for always making a basic errand a genuinely pleasant part of my neighborhood routine.

I asked one of the two clerks as to why their price to print out a single no -color page costs 8 times higher than anywhere else, and he suggested that I should go ahead and go there. I thought that was a very cocky and rood response. Both of the clerks acted extremely arrogant and I was the sole customer in the store. Then on top of that, it took them several minutes to get the printer to even work. Yet I still got robbed. The only reason why I am gifting this place 2 stars is because they were in fact open when nobody else was, and one of the employees gave me directions to U Street.

They sent me to a different U-Haul, in Leesburg, 35 miles away. This added two hours to my already tight moving schedule. They sent me an updated reservation and said there was a truck there for me. The day of my move, I showed up at Leesburg and there were no trucks. I spent an hour calling different people at U-Haul, and they repeatedly told me there were no trucks at any U-Haul location reasonably near me, not even in Baltimore. This experience ended up costing me an extra $1,500 because I needed to find movers with a truck the day of my move. U-Haul as a company acted like this was no big deal and barely an inconvenience. They mentioned something about reimbursement, but that does not even cover the inconvenience and the extra cost this caused me. I will never use U-Haul again.

I was gone for about an hour and 20 minutes, driving about 5 miles. When I returned to U-Haul, I waited for about 10 minutes for someone to check the van in. They sent me away before checking the vehicle. To my surprise, I was charged for 37.1 miles although I only drove the van about 5 miles and only had it out for a bit over an hour. Either the attendant recorded the odometer number incorrectly or the van has a problem with its accuracy. A rental that was supposed to cost about $35 cost me over $90. I called the store upon seeing the receipt, and I was told that a manager would be in touch. That never happened. I called a second time and got nowhere because I had not taken pictures of the dashboard. While I accept that I should have taken lots of photos, with the high volume in Washington, DC on a Saturday afternoon, it would be logistically impossible to move even a few things, drive 37.1 miles, refill the van's fuel tank, and return the vehicle in 80 minutes. Given U-Haul's unwillingness to entertain the possibility that either someone in the office made a mistake or that there's an issue with the van, I will not return.
