I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom since she is not "internet" savvy and she requested that I do so. She has been totally raving about how well of a job F&A Plumbing & Rooter did. Her story began a few weeks ago when the bathtub in her house got clogged. She called me and told me about the issue and about how a plumber told her the entire sewer line leading out of the house needed to be replaced. I asked her where she found the plumber and she told me from a flyer that was passed around a while back. Hearing that I decided to step in and help her find a plumber to go with. After getting on yelp and seeing the bad reviews, I did some research of my own and gave her three plumbers I thought would do an exceptional job. The first plumber from my list tried many attempts to unclog the pipe. After unsuccessfully doing so he gave my mom a quote of a few thousand dollars and essentially said a similar thing about replacing the pipes. My mom told me "I have a good feeling about this guy" and was about to proceed forward with spending a couple of thousand dollars without getting a quote from anyone else on the list. I told her she MUST get another quote and I'm SO GLAD she did. That is when she called F&A Plumbing. Frank came over to my mom's house and spent a lot of hard effort and time to unclog the pipe. After 1.5 hours he was able successfully unclog it!! My mom was very very pleased with the service she received. She said Frank was friendly, very knowledgeable, and professional. She liked the fact that Frank explained the entire process and difficulties in detail. In the end he gave her a very fair price and saved my mom many thousands of dollars in the process. Had sewer backup over the rainy weekend and was lucky enough to find Frank. He was available in one hour to come help. Everyone else I called were already booked up for the weekend. Frank is a professional and solid guy. I had a tricky drain repair above the ceiling and with very limited access. Out of all the plumbers I spoke with, Frank quoted the most reasonable approach and cost, without B.S. extras like "$200 charge for limited access". On the day of our appointment, he called ahead to give me his ETA, arrived on time, did the job, and cleaned up afterward. He even replaced an old kitchen faucet for only the cost of the parts because he was "already there". What a pleasure to work with an honest and decent plumber. When I notice afterward that there was still a small leak, which is understandable given the tricky repair and my 80-year old plumbing, Frank came right back the same day and took care of it.
