I had a gift card to a facial bar, I had no idea it was to get a facial. I literally thought I was just getting a like bar of soap. Whitney N had helped me. She assisted in explaining to me about Facial Works, the type of facial I would get with my giftcard. She helped book me an appointment and had an open spot on my walk-in so I got my facial right away. She was absolutely amazing in explaining to me what steps she would do and offered me a beverage. Their beverage choices was: water, tea, champagne or a mimosa. I chose the mimosa. Such an amazing experience for my first time here. I had no idea what to expect at all. I have not gotten a facial in 20 years and the facial I got was nothing compared to this one. I would love to come back here and book my appointment with Whitney N. She's here at the Irvine Spectrum location Tuesdays. She normally works at the Facial Works location in Huntington Beach off PCH on Wednesdays, Saturdays-Mondays. I started with the facial bar and eventually signed up for a membership -- best decision ever. I go once a month for a dermaplane, and the results speak for themselves. Caroline is my current go-to -- she's professional, friendly, and always makes the experience relaxing. I've also gone to Sam, who's just as great, especially if you love a firm (but pleasant!) facial massage. The location is always spotless and well-organized, and the staff is welcoming every time. The only small downside is weekend parking can be tricky since it's the Spectrum, but weekday appointments -- especially the later ones -- are much easier. My mother and I had our facials here on a Saturday at 11. The place was actually empty when we came. Seems like on weekends, it's appointments only. The girls were very friendly. They offered water or champagne prior to the seri e which we declined. I had never had a facial before because I have very sensitive skin so I asked for a recommendation. My esthetician recommended hydrafacial. It was pretty good and she explained everything at the end (she did ask if I wanted a explanation of the steps as she was doing it and I declined so that's why she did it at the end). I really liked her. I don't know if it's because my face is super sensitive or what, but a week later, my face started peeling and turning red, especially when in the sun. But it cleared up quickly. My mother on the other hand didn't have as good of an experience. She said her esthetician didn't explain anything and didn't offer steam or anything. Both facials were about 40 mins and cost a little over 200 each which isn't bad I guess. Honestly, I've never had a facial before so have no idea how much they're supposed to be. My first visit there today and was very happy. I like the facial bar idea, you don't have to go through the whole getting undressed and going into a room like a spa. It is easy to get a facial on your lunch hour or when you have a free hour in your day. I decided on the membership, two facials per month at $140 and 10% off any products or additional services. It's a good deal and you can cancel after 3 months if you're not happy. I have fairly good skin so just really need a few blackhead extractions and a good scrub and hydration. No real hard sell for products or memberships if you're not interested. Not busy at all at noon on a Friday. Everything was clean and staff were very pleasant. I had a great 1st Hydrafacial experience at Facialworks today! The scheduling process was really quick and easy as I did it through their website. It had me include my credit card information so when it came time to pay at the end of my service it was a streamline process. When I arrived at my appointment the girls at the front desk were very sweet and even offered me water, hot tea, or champagne before the start of my service! The store itself was super cute with a bright but calming atmosphere. The private treatment room where I had my Hydrafacial was very relaxing with dimly lit lights and soft meditative music. My esthetician was Haneen and I would recommend her for anyone getting a Hydrafacial for the first time. She was very gentle throughout the facial even during the extractions. I love that she would tell me everything she was doing and let me know what to expect, which put me at ease. The oxygen infusion and ice globes were my favorite part! At the end you get to see the canister with all the gunk the machine pulled out of your pores and it's weirdly satisfying to see lol. Tried Facialworks on impulse/after checking reviews. I had the Standard "Glow like Woah" anti-aging facial at the facial bar. It was 45 minutes, included a glass of champagne, and was really pleasant. My esthetician, Haneen, was very friendly, walked me through the products she was using, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She asked questions about my skin so she could address specific areas. I have pretty sensitive skin, but none of their products caused any irritation. With lots of different products and tools used, it's definitely worth the $80. The ice globes were my favorite part. I didn't get any add-ons, but with the standard facial, I didn't break out at all afterward, which is a first for me after a facial. I ended up buying a new customer 3 session package, we could be applied to that first session, so I will definitely be back. read more

I booked a deep sea detox signature facial on impulse since I am going through a tough breakout and experiencing a ton of congestion. I did have to wait a few minutes to get into the chair but that was totally fine- the staff were very kind and offered some drinks while I waited. I had never been before so I picked any Esthetician while booking, but after my experience with Caroline I will definitely stick with her! I felt that she was so thorough and great about explaining the different products and steps she was doing. I think the quality of the products and ingredients matched what I was needing. I did end up signing up for a membership since I felt the quality and value of 2 signature facials a month for $140 + a free product of under $99 was super reasonable. As an esthetician myself, the only critique I have with this company is that extractions should not be an add on service since most facials anywhere else include those in the service. Other than that, I think this place is awesome! The next morning my congestion had reduced and a large cystic acne spot I had that made me book the service seemed like it was finally coming to a head and beginning to heal. For me these spots take 2 weeks minimum to get to that point on their own. No new breakouts from the service and my skin was still supple and hydrated the next day :) read more

I have had a couple of facials at the facial bar, and I have really enjoyed the experience. Recently, my skin has been so dry and irritated from winter. I decided to get the signature waterlust facial and it was just what I needed! It was very relaxing. I almost fell asleep in the chair. I also enjoyed all the different aspects of the facial and different products and treatments that were used. And now my skin looks so much happier! The aesthetician who treated me was Haneen and she was great! She informed me of every step, and she made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. A few notes: - I did come in on a weekday and the availability was very open. Atmosphere was very calm at facial bar. I am not sure how it would be on a weekend. - I have never tried a treatment in one of the private treatment rooms so I can't say anything about those services. I also don't use their at home skin products so I don't have any review for those. We both got the extra bar facial and loved the results after our facial. The esthetician customizes the facial according to your skin type. I have really sensitive skin so my esthetician did a combination of two different facials for me. My facial was so relaxing and left my face feeling so clean and fresh. This review has nothing to do with the Esthetician I had November 21, 2022. This is for their hydro moisturizer line that they swear by will hydrate your skin... When I went in May of this year the esthetician swore by this product and/or products said that I definitely needed it and it would change my skin do to dehydration and congestion that she had diagnosed me...after I purchased a few items that she highly recommended and after using it ALL. I went in and had another facial...well the new esthetician looked at my skin and stated that I was dehydrated and congested (that's when I pulled out the items from my purse showing her I had used the products and they FAILED). She was speechless... ...WOW to think I used products from there line and it didn't HELP...it did NOT improve my skin...makes me wonder why I go in for facials.... I brought one of the items back because obviously it didn't work and 1 of the gals who was not a manager pretty much said that I couldn't get a refund because I had used it well that's what happens when you tell someone and you recommend a Product but it does it live up to the expectation. This was definitely false advertisement on the product(s). If you go in for a facial...I recommend not buying any of the products because if you're unhappy and or do NOT see a difference they will NOT reimburse you. The front desk ladies are extremely rude and disrespectful. I came in with two friends and we all wanted to get facials. One of us knew what he wanted so he got in but the two of us didn't know what we should get so we were trying to ask the front desk what they recommend and they have basically no idea and gave us zero guidance. While the three of us were sitting, at the front, the front desk lady only asked my friend who signed up if he wanted, water, juice, or champagne, but not the two of us. My face is radiant after a facial with them! I absolutely love their work & the feeling my face gets afterwards! I did the "We Love Your Face" facial. I added the peptide infusion (or what they call 'natural Botox') and my face lines were minimized immediately! The room is relaxing and dim, and they play soft music. Today I used a gift card to facial works at the spectrum. I'd never been here before and was looking forward to a relaxing facial. It's been way too long! My esthetician was Claudia and she explained the various additions you could make to your facial. My gift card was for a basic, so I made it extra by adding $20 and it added time and extractions. Worth it! I also added $25 for the peptide infusion. Another good choice. I figured it had been way too long since I'd had a good facial that I deserved it! Their oxygen infusion that comes with the facial was incredible and really relaxing. Overall, it was about 55 minutes and just a dream. I definitely will be back- $60 for a basic bar facial is well worth it- you don't always need a facial to cost you $125! Claudia and the staff were great. I was greeted upon arrival, the front desk girls were kind and offered beverage options and I went with champagne. It's clean and really pretty inside. My esthetician Giselle was the absolute best!
