The food was delicious and it's a beautiful place. The Event coordinator Aber was great.

Fadi's Banquet Hall is the place YOU must host your next event! We hosted a brunch event there for approximately 120 guests recently. This was definitely the BEST decision we made in trusting Fadi's to make everything for our event extra special. The food is what made us choose Fadi's. We are a family of foodies, so the food HAS to be the star. The attention to detail, freshness and presentation was more than words can express. The food is a rainbow display of a wide variety of options for all palettes. Our vegetarian, gluten free and halal guests loved it! Most people went back for second and thirds, I don't blame them! We went for z as few taste testing at the local location, since it was dii ok hard to pick our menu. The banquet hall chef met with us to offer some "off the menu" options. He explained the quality of the ingredients and preparation they made for us. We are still smiling from the guests' satisfaction and the quality of every detail that was noticed. We were even allowed to bring in our own non alcoholic drinks with @dryelixirs_mobilemocktails which made our guests even happier! I highly recommend them for your dry events. The banquet hall - wow! The beauty of the blue stained glass windows, dark wood trim beams, white stone walls and beautiful chandeliers made everything come ALIVE requiring very little decorations of our own. The tables and setup were very professional and simply perfect! Abeer!!! She's the event coordinator that handles everything + more. Her staff, on scene and behind the scenes were nothing but amazing. She always had a smile on her face and was extremely accommodating, patient and flexible. She went out of her way as I shared my vision during every step of the way for the past 8 months. In fact I asked for our event to be held on the eve of a national holiday, while most places were closed, she made it happen! I had the BEST experience with her and can't wait to hold another event there soon. Every venue should have an Abeer, we simple love her! I'm sure I'm missing something, but I will always have the best memories to recall from our special day just because of Fadi's. Sharing just a few highlights of our fun day, the setup, and the breathtaking hall. Thank you FADI'S!

Just hosted an event at this location and it was perfect! Atti (the head organizer) is amazing to deal with and extremely helpful. She understood our needs and delivered them in the most elegant way. Very pleasant experience and would definitely recommend. Great food of course and nice staff.

Started to enjoy this first each time I come. It is that delicious, but why can't I find fruit like that anywhere at a grocery store? Give this place a try. Yummy. Officially the authentic Greek restaurant without going overboard. Wait- the homemade 3 layer chocolate cake and the lemon cake! Actually bought a whole one for a large birthday party and everyone wanted to know the bakery name- just Athena's homemade cake! Remember, Greek food is fresh with best ingredients. Service is above that notch and family atmosphere with Greek music- always. But I do find I'm stopping in there solo all the time; others too! Their Impossible kubideh in particular genuinely surprised me - in the best way. I don't usually gravitate toward meat substitutes at all, and I've tried making kubideh and ghormeh sabzi at home. It just never comes close to this. It's not often I find restaurants where the vegetarian options don't feel like an afterthought, but Kasra absolutely gets it right. Established back in 1977, this Greek café has grown from a humble walk‑up window into a full‑fledged neighborhood institution, beloved for its hearty Mediterranean comfort food and lively, come‑as‑you‑are atmosphere. The Montrose location stays bustling from lunch through late night, drawing in everyone from families to night‑owls to longtime regulars who've been coming here for decades. What keeps people returning is simple: the food hits. Diners consistently praise the authentic Greek flavors, especially the gyro plates -- a blend of beef and lamb shaved from the spit, tucked into warm, fresh pita, and finished with cool, garlicky tzatziki. Portions are generous without being sloppy, and the pricing stays reasonable, making it one of the best value spots in the neighborhood. Your gyro arrives stacked, your fries come hot, and your plate feels like it was built by someone who actually wants you to leave full. The menu is huge, but the classics shine brightest. The Greek salad is crisp and refreshing, loaded with feta, olives, tomatoes, and their famous dressing. Service here is fast, friendly, and efficient -- the kind of counter‑style operation where the staff keeps things moving without losing the warmth that makes the place feel welcoming. Guests frequently mention how upbeat and helpful the team is, even during rush hours. The vibe is lively but never chaotic: families grabbing dinner, couples sharing mezze plates, and regulars chatting with staff like old friends. It's casual, energetic, and unmistakably Montrose. One thing that sets Niko Niko's apart is its deep Houston history. The Fetokakis family has run the restaurant for nearly half a century, maintaining a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality that helped the café earn multiple Houston Press awards over the years -- from Best Pork Chops to Best Family‑Owned Restaurant. Even as the city has changed around it, Niko Niko's has stayed true to its roots: hearty food, Greek hospitality, and a community‑driven spirit. Whether you're grabbing a quick gyro, sitting down for a full spread, or stopping by for dessert after a night out, Niko Niko's delivers exactly what a neighborhood staple should: great food, great value, and a welcoming atmosphere. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and the experience feels like Houston -- diverse, warm, and full of character. If you're in Montrose and craving Greek comfort done right, this spot remains one of the city's most reliable pleasures.

I have never had that happen in a restaurant even in a Michelin star restaurant have I been asked to leave because my time at the table was up.! It really ruined our experience and it made us feel very rushed quickly, jumping up and getting out of the place. I have not seen these friends in a long time and I just really hated the way it ended... I suppose I will go back because I do love the food there, however, I know I will be on a timeframe when I walk in there, and I will be thinking about that the whole time I'm sitting at the table Has anyone else ever had this happen in any restaurant ever???? For food, we usually start with an appetizer and split the mixed shawarma plate. This last time we shared a Greek salad as an appetizer. Fresh and delicious as always. One of our sides was the baba ghanoush, which was incredible. Dont get me started on the pita it comes with....Warm, soft, and fresh. It takes everything in me not to demolish the whole basket. For our other side, we always get the potatoes. They're perfectly seasoned with a slight sweetness and a little kick. Hands down my favorite side dish here! The portions are generous too. For me and my boyfriend (who can definitely eat), splitting this is always enough to fill us up. I also have to shout out the service because it's consistently great. Even when it's packed and there's just one waiter, everything flows smoothly. Safe to say we'll keep coming back!

Landlords are often real pos scumbags to begin with, which is why several great, popular restaurants close as time goes by. Cafe Red Onion on Kirby had that same problem years ago. I went here last night ordering the # 74 Lamb Adana with rice n salad, plus an extra skewer. I also got another # 74 togo to share with family, bc that's it. Will they open another establishment similar in the future is completely unknown. Istanbul Grill will be missed and was the oldest Turkish restaurant still standing. The lamb kebab skewers were so delicious, well-seasoned, juicy, not gamy and had that charcoal / charbroiled aroma to them, which all kabobs are really supposed to have like TX Bbq is to smokiness taste. The rice was really fresh like the meat in its own right with a buttery flavor to it. The salad was tangy and refreshing. Some other Turkish restaurants might make some dishes good, but never execute the lamb adana entree right, due to heat source n lack of seasoning. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Some places tend to not give a damn about many customers when they're about to close, but this place was always on point. Best of luck to the people running it and their staff.
