So far I have received four generic, after hours computer generated responses from Mert Koroglu, the supposed Internet Sales Manager. I have mixed feelings about my purchase from Fahrney Ford. The good side is that I'm pleased with the vehicle that I purchased. I guess all's well that ends well. But I must say that I found the purchase process very frustrating. The last time I purchased from them it was a 5-star event. I won't throw stones about what went on. I bought my first car over 60 years ago, and it hasn't always been easy. I will however tell you that they are not what they use to be before their great expansion. It seems that their large expansion has come at the cost of losing some integrity or insight to customer satisfaction. On my way home, I was just starting to calm down from the rough negotiations and enjoy my new (used) truck when the low fuel warning came on! I pulled into the first gas station I could find and put 26 gallons into a 26 gallon tank! They hadn't even put enough gas in the tank to get me home! Thank goodness for that low fuel alarm. Without it I would have been stranded. IMO failure to put fuel in the tank was just being a little too "Cheap". read more

My family and I have been going to different car dealers to purchase a family car. We were hoping to look into purchasing a platinum expedition with leather seats for my birthday. As soon as we parked, three sales men asked if we needed helped. A young sales man approached us first, so we decided to go with him. Five minutes later, he disappeared and we were helped by an older sales men. We thought perhaps this one had more experience and could answer our questions better. Beware, they will find some way to rip you off. And after the sale, don't expect any level of service. I learned this the hard way, buying a new pickup truck last year. The salesperson was really nice and helpful. However, the finance manager snuck in some extras that I later decided I really didn't need. There was a GAP contract and a protection contract. I called to ask to have those removed, but was told it's not allowed. After months of not getting anywhere, I finally had to call an attorney to protect my rights. Funny how quickly they refunded my GAP contract that they previously refused to do, after receiving a well-worded letter from my attorney! Needless to say, this dealership will abandon you after the sale, Stay away. Far away. read more

Do not waste your time here. Purchased a truck from them, we love the truck however within a year started having a lot of issues with it. We did purchase a warranty but anytime we put it in shop we could expect it to be there 4+ days with no progress being made on the repair. They NEVER have rentals (my warranty covers up to 10 days for a rental) and don't care at all if you have kids and need a vehicle to get them to school or yourself to work. I pay for rental service but they never have rentals, that shouldn't be the customer's problem! Apparently it's only in house rentals which is super sketchy. I paid too much for my vehicle to not have any form of transportation. The fact that they never have rentals should tell you how unreliable their products are. When we are ready to trade in we'll go somewhere else and 100% not be going here! read more

I had been looking for a used Ford Transit at a good price. I had just had my fifth child and our minivan was just too cramped now. I had been searching TrueCar, Carmax, Carvana, Vroom, AutoTrader, CarGurus, everything. Not much came up in my range so I expanded my circumference. Finally,one in my range came up here at Fahrney, a good 3 hour drive from my home. It was a great price and a good vehicle so I called and drove out the next day. I worked with Tou. He was great, like all front salesmen are supposed to be. He was the likeable guy who worked hard to make the sale. The car was already near the bottom of the Kelley Blue Book range for its year and mileage, but $500 less was right in my price range, so that's what I said I could pay. Tou brought out the middle manager. He was like every middle manager I've ever dealt with- not likeable, pushy, and not very honest about the price and what they can do. If you're going into a dealership you have to have a goal in mind and you have to be ready to walk out even if you drove 3 hours. After an hour of trying to get them to budge and they wouldn't budge a dollar, I said thanks but I was going home. I stood up and was halfway to the car when they dropped the price by $250. I said no and continued my walk to the car. They dropped it another $150. I said no again and continued. Then they dropped the full $500. Who knows- if I held the line even lower they may have dropped more but they were meeting my goal so I bought. All in all, I give 5 stars. Dealerships are dealerships. I hate them and I hate the haggling games. However, as dealerships go, this one was one of the better ones I've dealt with. Nice salesmen and even the manager was less sleazy than what I'm used to. Just remember it is a game, have a goal in mind, and do not be afraid to walk. It doesn't always work out, and I have had salesmen let me walk out, but you'll get nothing unless you hold a hard line. We went to Fahrney Ford to look at an SUV and disclosed multiple times our budget and what our absolute limit is on monthly payments and money down. We had gone this past Saturday and initially they couldn't make a deal with us as our limit was $350 for monthly payments and they could only give us it for $400. No big deal, so we cut our losses and left. Then a couple days later we get a call from their customer service and they ask us about why we couldn't make a deal. We told them why and they get us in contact with the manager of the lot across the street, Harold. Harold assured us they can make it happen. We asked him even with our trade in, the amount of money we can put down and monthly payments we're asking for to the EXACT amount? We asked Harold NUMEROUS times and he assured us yes just to come down to make the deal happen. Multiple calls later asking Harold not to waste our time because we're coming from Fresno and had a lot to do as well we make it down only for them to tell us they can make the deal but with 5.5k down instead of the promised 2k down and instead of the $350 monthly payment they are again telling us they can only do $400. We asked so many times on the phone if you can't make the deal work according to our exact numbers please let us know because the drive is far. They lied to us and told us something totally different when we seen them in person. As a manager, DO NOT promise customers you can get them at a certain deal if you are unsure You cannnot. Stopped by was looking for a 2022 regular cab , I was told , those are unicorns !!! That's odd , they didn't even try to see if the could find me one elsewhere. So I told them I could probably settle for a 2018 if they had them . So they showed me a ford regular cab , which it didn't interested me the least . Next they showed me a gmc , but apparently the mechanics were working on it , the salesman took me into the office and tried to keep me there . Pros: Amazing vehicle selection Warranty Options Amazing Finance & "On-Site Staff" Cons: OWNER OF FAHRNEY FORD OF SELMA Poor Customer Service Communication Promises Purchased a Brand New F150 on 6/9/23, perfect condition took it for paint fabrication for the finishing touch on a Saturday to Toyota per Fords instructions. Picked it up end of day, noticed paint damages immediately informed Toyota staff, was told to call Ford on Monday due to no managers there etc. Called that Monday morning at opening to inform them, had my husband bring it there while I was on the phone with the manager, video/photos were taken of damages, was told we would get a call from Valerie to schedule it. Valerie called and schedule it to BE FIXED on 07/05/23 for 3-4 days. My husband took off work for the week. Made sure I informed them immediately per Toyotas instructions to Ford that Monday of the damages! Dropped it off at Ford on 07/05/23 got a call 07/06/23 from Daniel the service manager to pick the truck up because it won't be able to get fixed until 07/24/23, Valerie did not get this scheduled correctly, I then called her and she stated she forgot and that she was confused and that she was out of the loop because she took vacation the day after she scheduled us and claimed she doesn't remember speaking to the manager I initially informed of the damages. That was an entire whole ordeal!! Anyways while we were at the dealership on 07/05/23 dropping off the F150 we purchased another F150 this time for me. At this point we are frustrated that our initial purchase the black F150 is not getting acknowledged to confirm dates, so then I CALLED EVERY SINGLE DAY trying to get a confirmed date since Valerie dropped the ball on this. Even called Valerie every few days to get a simple confirmation. Even Ford service department saw how upset and frustrated we were the day we had to pick up the truck again on 07/06/23. Saved all texts, call logs, names of everyone I spoke with throughout this entire ordeal. We purchased the Platinum Warranty package as well when we paid $20,000 CASH for a down payment for the Black F150, then 3 wks later purchased my F150, then my father wants to purchase the F250 but change of plans since their customer service is horrible! So yesterday 07/13/23 the owner of Fahrney Ford "Mike" gave me a call and says "We are not taking responsibility for this damage because you waited too long to inform us of the damage and that there's no record of my communication!" He wouldn't let me get a word in so it became a screaming match! How unprofessional is that! A grown man that owns several dealerships speaks to a woman like this! Instead of trying to fix the problem and provide excellent customer service he totally sweeps this under the rug! Even though their cameras on site and staff has seen me a lot of times since the minute it was reported to them, then so many times I've called, left messages etc. he still denies fixing the truck. Mind you it's small paint gouges but they are noticeable. Wouldn't even let me know what can be done. Not to mention even my new F150 has interior damages from the pain fabrication finishing touch guy!! I recorded the vehicle and time stamped it morning of drop off, then recorded my truck upon picking up and noticing the damages again!!! Mike Fahrney will not take responsibility for any of the damages that were caused under the handling of their staff. I told him this is very poor customer service he brushed it off and still kept saying he's not taking responsibility for the damages! Breach of contract for sure!! Going to look into getting this resolved for actual damages, with all the proof & evidence I have, and also the missed work my husband had to take due to Valerie scheduling it to be dropped off and fixed for 3-4 days. My husband has a high paying job and Valerie is responsible for this. Not only that but the verbal abuse I had to listen to from Mike Fahrney! Screaming match for sure. Do not go to any Fahrney dealerships in Selma, Ca. To purchase your vehicles, the customer service that you will receive AFTER you purchase is total BS!! Any calls, from Mike Fahrney to myself or my husband or my mother will be documented!! To treat customers that drop $20,000 CASH, then purchase another F150 fully loaded 5.0 3wks later, then inquire about another F250 that's horrible! It all started with my wife and I deciding it is time for a new vehicle for her. She did her research and decided she liked the new Toyota Camry. She found numerous Camry's in the color she liked at Swanson Fahrney. She did an online application because, we are both very busy people. They got our information and we attempted to reserve one of the 4 new Camry's listed online. My wife schedule to take time off from work to complete the test drive and complete the transaction. When she arrived she was met with a bunch of excuses that the vehicles listed online were not available to purchase as they had already been sold. The salesman and manager gave her a long exhausting run around. They even tried to up sell her on a vehicle 8-10k over what she was actually in the market for. This is the type of low and underhanded business dealings I would expect from a small privately owned used car dealership not a large affiliated Toyota dealership. They post vehicles at a reasonable price when you get there they have none of the product they are selling at the prices they are listing. I am sure Stephanie will send an apology. From the looks of all the reviews this is their modus operandi the business manager is constantly apologizing however, when the apologies come so frequent they are worth less and carry no effect. read more

We had been communicating with Jennifer in the Internet Sales Department. She didn't seem like she knew what she was doing so she relied on her boss' help, Harrold stepped in to speak with us on "the deal" we have a 2015 F-150 we were looking to trade in. They had all of the information as far as the vin number and pictures. We had to do it this way because we are in Bakersfield and they are in Selma. I wasn't looking to take that drive unnecessarily. So after much communication and negotiation, we were told by Harrold that they could potentially pay for what we owed on the truck we currently have as used trucks with low mileage are in high demand... We felt we had worked out the details so this past Saturday, 1/16/2021 we decided to go in and see what we could do. Right before our time to head out I received a text from Bryan Lopez confirming our appt. I have never heard from Bryan but he guaranteed everyone including their finance department was aware of "the deal" so we decided to go in. Poor kid! Bryan was thrown into the fire when he didn't know what was really going on. We pretty much started from scratch. They also didn't have a truck for us to work on. Eddie in the finance department came in with numbers which didn't match what we had been working on with Jennifer and Harrold. Well. Turns out Harrold, isn't any kind of manager at this dealership but rather an appointment setter! WTF! Bottom like is we were lied to from the start, there was never any deal! Eddie came in to the room very matter of fact with 0 options, instead he low balled the trade and didn't give any options on terms, money down, nothing.
