Pasta entries about $14, special dinners about the same. Did not get appetizers because I don't usually order appetizers. Wine about $8 per glass. Today noisy ambiance. Service good, busy but servers were attentive and got our orders right. Tiramisu frozen bakery prepared. Tasty but didn't have the soaked sponge I am looking for. Cons: noisy. A little hard to hear conversation. So busy the wait staff seemed stressed. Will probably return for take out. And will try the pizza if the crust is thick. read more

Salads and sandwiches are also delicious. Staff is very friendly and attentive. My favorite is the patio. They have many tables including for larger groups. There is a small lounge spot in the back corner if you just want to hang out with friends and have some drinks. They have several televisions on part of the patio to watch sports games. They also have large fans throughout to help move the air, so it is comfortable in hot and humid summer days. The patio does get crowded, so get here early! We sat on the tented patio today. The service was excellent but a little slow. Didn't bother us because we had nowhere else to be. I think two servers handled the entire place with help from the owners. Our table started with onion rings to share. The large order was breaded and crispy thick cut rings. Italian sandwich ordered cold, slaw, steak sandwich, fries, chicken Parm, and white pasta. Each item was excellent. The slaw was homemade and wet. Portions are large. The steak sandwich was very tender. The entire experience was great and worth our time and money. Staff is super friendly, too! read more

For years, I have been a fan of Failoni's St. Louis style pizza and have given up on finding similar deliciousness in other dine in or carry-out options. The fresh ingredients used to make the pizza make it stand out from the rest, and I was even able to win over a friend who initially disliked St. Louis style pizza by introducing them to Failoni's. Their olive salad is also amazing, coming just as close to my mother's recipe as can be, and the pasta dishes are equally delicious. We loved this place! The vibe Is happy and fun. Service is pleasant and efficient, food is really good. Prices are reasonable which we were happy about. They have live entertainment which I understand varies depending on the night. It reminded us almost like a family wedding reception... fun, familiar, maybe a bit "cheesy". Big outdoor patio area where we enjoyed a beautiful evening. Recommending the cannelloni, eggplant Parmesan, salads and the Failonis platter appetizer. SUCCESSFUL surprise 30th birthday party during a TORNADO WATCH here at Failonis! I gotta give it up to the staff here last night. We were setting up the party in the tent when it started storming really bad, the staff remained calm, directed us to go inside for our safety and always checked in with us if we wanted another drink to calm OUR nerves. One of the guys even brought in the cupcakes and cookies because he didn't want to risk them getting destroyed. Another brought in purses he found! 11/10 service! They managed to seat our party inside even though the place was already poppin. It was still pretty lively considering the tornado sirens going off in the background and seeing the tent almost fly away. No matter! The worst left and it still continued to storm, but we continued to party. The man of the hour was finally able to drive in and he was so surprised!!! The wait was well worth it! And the great service continued because they immediately brought out the party food. Despite the party starting 1.5 hours later than expected, the food was absolutely fantastic! I personally couldn't get enough of the toasted ravs. The pizza was also killer, hot, and fresh! Chef's kiss, y'all! We came in on a recent Saturday. There was a live band outside but my family opted for the inside dining area furthest from noise. (We had a hard day.) We ordered a bunch of appetizers: the flash fried spinach, the Spinocci, eggplant parmesan (as an entree for my oldest), zucchini sticks. For entrees I got a 12" meat lovers pizza while my daughter got the tuna steak salad. The food came out in a timely fashion. The waitress was friendly, kept our waters filled, and checked on us regularly. Two out of three of us enjoyed our food and would return. read more

I've honestly driven past this place 1,000 times and never stopped in. When a group of friends decided to give it a try, I thought I'd give it a shot! I'm glad I did. The food was delicious. Nothing on the menu was ground breaking or new, but everything was homey, comfortable, and tasty American Italian. I especially enjoyed the rosemary marinated olives. We had a large party and the food was delivered quickly and hot. The wait staff was helpful and polite and when the bill came I was pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely go back! First, I can't believe I've lived here all my life and this was my first visit. This was probably one of the best executions of a St. Louis style pizza I've had to date. The blend of cheese was delicious, a perfect balance of melty and stretchy. We did the sausage special but swapped out the white sauce for red. We also tried basically all the appetizers. The best thin crust, St. Louis style pizza in all of St. Louis! Contrary to the commercials, Imo's DOES NOT compare. Pair it with a house salad with Failoni's house dressing and you are set! This is a generationally-owned family joint (what Italian restaurant isn't?). The inside is small but the outdoor patio around back is the best place for seating. Another nod for fresh PIZZA! Failoni's is a family owned restaurant/bar that has been around for a very long time. It is best known as a blue collar lunch hangout, popular post game patio spot (w/entertainment), and for their hopping Thursday night entertainment night, that fills up at happy hour and stays packed until closing. Some call Thursdays at Failoni's a "cougar-fest." I disagree with that assessment because Thursday nights at Failoni's is clearly an all middle-age party night. So, if a young lad is there on the prowl... it's hardly a case of cougars out seeking cubs. Failoni's has always had a solid American/Italian menu, but they recently added a full pizza kitchen and the pizza is good!!!!! They serve St. Louis style (a little thicker). But, it is so much better than any St. Louis pizza that I have tasted. Most ingredients are standard Italian and fresh from the Hill. They will put provel on your pizza unless you ask for mozzarella, but they offer both options. Good stuff!! read more

Stopped in early on a Saturday night with some friends, we took a sat in the cafe which is only separated from the bar by a small open partition. The "cafe" is limited to about 5 tables while the bar seamed to have slightly more space. The atmosphere here feels more like your local neighborhood bar and grill and the crowd is slightly older, mostly 30+. There are several TVs around so you can be sure to catch the Cardinals or Blues score their next win. There was apparently an outside patio, however it was the middle of winter so it was closed, I am sure it would be a great place to spend a summer evening. We started off with the Spinocci, which is essentially crispy fried wontons filled with spinach artichoke dip served alongside a sweet sauce, they were amazing and I highly recommend ordering them to start off your meal. The table started off with two small 12" pizzas, which are thin crispy flaky crust, slightly thicker than Imo's. When ordering a pizza you can order it with red or white sauce and your choice or Provel or Mozzarella, for those that don't know Provel is a Saint Louis combination of cheddar, Swiss, and Provelone which strangely enough tastes nothing like any of its ingredients. I went with a white sauce pizza topped with chicken, bacon and Provel cheese, the pizza itself was delicious. The Provel and white sauce provided an creamy almost buttery and gooey base from the chicken and bacon. The chicken and bacon were cooked perfectly, the chicken itself was done just right and not dried out at all. Over all the ingredients paired together for a top notch pizza, which I highly recommend checking out for yourself. Service here is friendly, and you can tell that this is a family owned establishment. Prices are reasonable especially considering the small 12" is almost enough for two meals, especially if paired with an appetizer. Overall Failoni's is a solid choice for a evening out with friends or just a good meal, probably one of my top choices for pizza, I can't wait to return and try a pizza with red sauce or one of their pasta dishes. read more

We attended a birthday party event there last night on the patio and it was great. The staff was attentive and quick with anything we could need. There was a party of about 25 of us with catered food. We had the toasted ravioli, some broccoli alfredo pasta and at least 10 different kinds of pizza and everything we tried was good. Their live music on the patio was Jake Baumgartner and he was one of the best solo cover artists we had hear. He played a little bit of everything and it made for a great atmosphere. read more

The homestyle cooking is spot on. The restaurant has a close knit, private club-like atmosphere. I feel like everyone knows each other and they are welcoming when we outsiders stop in for lunch. The burgers are hand packed and huge. All of the prices are reasoanble considering the size of your portions. Today's special of breaded porkchop was well cooked and thick cut. I wouldn't find a better chop at any of the mid-tier steakhouses in St. Louis. The service is quick, knoweldgeable, and very friendly. Our drinks were always filled and an ample bar was well within reach if we had chosen to go in the boozy direction. Tuesdays are Dine with your Dog days on the patio.
