Amazing experience at the Mediterranean Market at Grove's Farmers Market today. I knew they were…read moreknown for their dubai chocolate, baklava and other treats, but I just had to try it in person. A nice young lady working there recommended to me to try their traditional baklava as well as the chocolate one. Both were very top tier, but the chocolate baklava really spoke to me. The textures of a bit crispy on outside with very soft, almost juicy filling of nuts, chocolate and their yummy syrup on the inside, made this chocolate baklava simply heavenly. After the first bite, my taste buds and my whole mouth just said Wooow! The baklava, especially the chocolate one, is absolutely positively a must try when you visit this Mediterranean spot. Good vibes here too, as there are a lot of tourists here and it's a cool people-watching opportunity and the tables to sit down and eat are just everywhere. Grove's Farmers Market is a historical, special place to visit and within the confines of this special place, is this magical baklava shop that's just a must. Will definitely be back again for more!

The girl who is working here today is very sweet and gave us a sample of the pistachio halvah and we bought a big chunk. It's so good but insanely fattening. I also love the Turkish delight candies.

The prices are reasonable, and I always find what I need whenever I shop here. The store can feel a little crowded at times, but that's only because they carry such a wide variety of products. If something isn't available, it's usually due to overseas supply delays, and the staff is always happy to let you know when it will be back in stock. The team is friendly, professional, and keeps the store clean and organized. Special thanks to the owner, Mujahid, who is a genuinely kind and hardworking person. Asia Foods has been serving both Muslim and non-Muslim communities for many years, and we're fortunate to have them in our neighborhood. If you haven't checked them out yet, I highly recommend stopping by. Thank you, Mujahid and the entire Asia Foods team, for everything you do!

The market is fully stocked with all shelves full...maybe over full, as I noticed many items were expired or past their recommended shelf life. Fruits and veggies were pretty fresh, though non-organic. Also, many varieties of spices and rare spicy. Great if you are looking for some hard to find spice for middle eastern, Mediterranean or Asian cuisines. I'm big on overall food freshness, so this is why I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place. If the packaged goods were expired on the shelf, not sure how many other products were aged. Can't tell age of spices, tea or anything else like that, so as Mich as I'd love to support small, local grocers...I just wouldn't come back:( Honestly, if they'd just clear their inventory of old things and keep it simple...they'd get customers like me, but I just can't trust a business that is so cheap, it will discount old things rather than get new ones.

You go in for what you know, and that already gets you caught up, but then you also want to try something new because there's always something new to try. Sometimes it's a gamble, sometimes it's amazing and you're like "OMG! I need this every time," and sometimes you're like "what was that?" And you really don't know what it was because the descriptions aren't in English. The staff is always super friendly. If you go for hot food during lunchtime, you will get caught up because you'll want to pile your plate high and forget they weigh it & you can easily end up with a $24 plate on top of all your groceries. They have great sweet treats that aren't super high in sugar, which is a plus. Their ramens are my favorite. I've probably tried every one. My favorite is the one with the black pieces in it (I think they're mushrooms). I still haven't tried the mushrooms, but the creamy broth mix is everything. Their sparkling sodas are always delicious. My favorite is the Hello Kitty strawberry one. I told all my friends about it, and me and my sister go regularly. My sister loves the banana milk! Definitely recommend!

They have a lot of premade food options. Some are decently priced and some are on the pricier side…read more If you go at 7pm or latter they do mark down the sushi and other premade food by 20% off. The thing that's good about going to Tokyo central for premade sushi is that they make all their sushi fresh daily and what's not sold is marked down and got rid of before next day compared to other markets where they sell their sushi that's like 2-4 days old. They went viral for awhile for having a hot food bar, which looked like a buffet but in reality you grab what you want but it's $15.99 a pound. The pound adds up really quick and you end with paying like $30. The food isn't that great in the hot food bar in my option so I'd skip it. The market itself is very pricey it's not a cheap market. So if your planning on buying grocery your gonna pay high prices. I'd go here for a quick sushi roll or some mochi they sell a bag from Japan for $3.99 with red bean that's pretty good. One of my favorite food item is the umami chicken karage with rice that's pre packaged and if you can snag it while it's still hot that great. Its usually on a separate table on in the refrigerated section, It's the one with some teriyaki sauce over it, not the regular one. As you exit you can grab utensils, napkins, wasabi. ginger, soy sauce. Parking is a hit and miss, it's a popular market if you go there at lunch time it's packed or weekends. Personally I drop by to get a quick bite, sushi roll or chicken karage . They do have a food court that has a Japanese bakery, takoyaki , a katsu place. Upstairs they have a sushi bar which is unique I havnt tried it but seems a bit pricey but looks like quality. Looking for something Japanese in food wise, this would be one of the places to go to look for it. I don't know why it seems like every Asian market I've been to is so cramped and hardly any space when trying to get around with a cart. It's the same here.t
