    Traditional large Baklava
    Steve S.

Amazing experience at the Mediterranean Market at Grove's Farmers Market today. I knew they were known for their dubai chocolate, baklava and other treats, but I just had to try it in person. A nice young lady working there recommended to me to try their traditional baklava as well as the chocolate one. Both were very top tier, but the chocolate baklava really spoke to me. The textures of a bit crispy on outside with very soft, almost juicy filling of nuts, chocolate and their yummy syrup on the inside, made this chocolate baklava simply heavenly. After the first bite, my taste buds and my whole mouth just said Wooow! The baklava, especially the chocolate one, is absolutely positively a must try when you visit this Mediterranean spot. Good vibes here too, as there are a lot of tourists here and it's a cool people-watching opportunity and the tables to sit down and eat are just everywhere. Grove's Farmers Market is a historical, special place to visit and within the confines of this special place, is this magical baklava shop that's just a must. Will definitely be back again for more!

Mediterranean Market is the first place where I tried the trending Dubai chocolate and it has set the bar HIGH on all other Dubai chocolates for me! At the time, I had the choice of one that is made at a factory and one that is freshly made by hand. The homemade one was delicious, using top notch pistachio cream filling, chocolate and the kadayif was crispy. I've been bringing my friends and family here since. The market has a wide variety of products that it is hard for me to keep focus. I want everything! Great place to stop by and make a care package or gift basket for someone. I recently tried the Turkish Delights. One was rose, one is pomegranate with chocolate mini spears and one had saffron and rose petals. So decadent! You would think that you would want to eat a lot in one sitting but they are so rich and decadent, I find pacing myself slow and enjoying them one by one is the way to go. Staff has ALWAYS been friendly, even if it is in their own special way. I never felt rushed and all my purchases never felt transactional. Not only is this place perfect for a tourist spot, it is also valued as a neighborhood store.

Great unique options but really over priced. I purchased the Dubai Chocolate bar for over $30. It was just ok and I've since tried many others with significantly lower price tags that tasted better.

I recently discovered that this market sold Dubai Chocolate from a sign outside the Farmers market. I paid $15 for the small Dubai chocolate bar. There is a large Dubai chocolate bar but it's $30. I really liked the Dubai chocolate bar but I must admit I had buyer's remorse for spending $15 for candy. It's worth it to try once.

This place is a little more hidden then I expected, but luckily with some direction we found it next to a little bar We grabbed an assortment of Turkish delights, baklava, and their house-made Dubai chocolate (a must-try -- rich, smooth, and indulgent!). Everything was super fresh and flavorful. What really surprised me was how much more they offer -- this isn't just a sweets counter. It's a legit Mediterranean market packed with imported goods like honey, olives, spices, teas, and all kinds of pantry staples from around the world. You could easily spend a while just browsing the shelves. The ambiance was vibrant and the staff was friendly and welcoming, happy to answer questions. If you're in the market and craving something unique and authentic, this spot is 100% worth the stop.

For some reason, I have not noticed this place up till now I'm at farmers market like every other weekend. I asked Helix who was behind the counter about the baklava and he gave me the rundown. Lol I had no intention of buying any but he sold me and I went home and ate it and it was delicious. They have all things Mediterranean here from sauces and olives, to cheese, and of course, baklava. I am definitely going to be trying some of the different offerings now that I actually know where the place is and that it exists.

What a cool shop! We come to The Orignal Farmers Market all the time but for some reason we just spotted this stall today. All kinds of Mediterranean goodies here. Sweets, savories, spices, syrups, dry goods, drinks, etc. Jasmine was the person helping us and she was wonderful. Offered some samples of some of the sweets and pointed out certain items she thought we'd be interested in but not in a pushy way. In the end we left with a few different kinds of sweets....love that they have vegan options and my husband also left with a milky strawberry drink. Definitely plan on stopping in on a regular basis.

This place is so cool and filled with plenty of Mediterranean goodies. Love the vibes and the stacks of goodies throughout the shop which make you want to get everything. The in "thing" now is the Dubai chocolate (which got me to this place). Was in Swiss and tried it and it is very lovely and tried it in Dubai, which is fantastic...I'm not into chocolate much but really enjoy it more than I can say. I got several types of Baklava and of course the Dubai chocolate (milk not dark choco). The baklavas were so amazing, best tasted so far in SoCal (this means that I have to come back for more, ugh). As for the Dubai chocolate, it was great - but abit too sweet for me and compared to the others that I had. Will definitely comeback for more of the baklavas, I think I'm in love with it and it reminds me of Greece. The young man there was very helpful and courteous and informed me about the infos of the items since the prices are not listed also he gave me discounts on the Dubai bars (I got 4). The prices are definitely not cheap but worth it, I just need to cut my liquor allowance for a week....

Please beware of this store as even though they went viral for having the Dubai chocolate, the food you buy may be contaminated and moldy. I bought this katafi shredded phyllo dough from the store to make the Dubai chocolate for myself at home and when opened, found out it was disgusting and moldy. Overpriced and scammed. The original expiration date says February 2026.

That's a bummer because I was extremely happy to stumble upon this all vegan deli location while visiting The Grove. I had the Amico which came with a thick stack of ham, pepperoni, salami, provolone. The vegan meats were balanced by the lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, and vegan mayo. The large footlong Italian roll was the perfect vehicle for all the yummy sandwich filling.
