This location was a nice walking distance from shopping and restaurants. Everyone was quite pleasant and helpful throughout our entire stay. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

I enjoyed my time at the Fairmont. It is an older hotel but it has everything you need. My room was pretty big, larger than I expected. The room is nothing glamorous but it was spacious and clean. You receive tea and coffee in the room but there is nothing else. Not even a bottle of water. There is a mini fridge but it is filled with items for sale, If you take anything out you will be automatically charged. There is no space for you to place anything in it. There is a CVS right across the street that is open late. There is a 24hr gym. It is small but it has what you need. If you want to have breakfast at the hotel, plan ahead they get backed up very quickly. The location is great. I was able to walk to a lot of places.

Had a recent staycation at Fairmont with my besties who were visiting from the west coast. I was lucky to have access to the Visa Signature program through my credit card and was given some additional benefits of staying here. It was a nice bonus to get free breakfast and an upgraded room. Our room was located on the 32 floor and had a good view of the park. Our room was spacious for a DT hotel. We were very comfortable as three women sharing a room. We enjoyed the turn down service which provided water and macaroons. Those were an added treat. Additionally the room had good espresso coffee and specialized tea. For facilities, we had everything we needed on-site. Toro restaurant was good and enjoyed getting to-go breakfast. Guest have access to the LakeShore Fitness Club and they have everything (sauna, pool, gym, pickleball, steam room, & hot tub). Further enjoyed the lobby cafe who made a pretty decent Carmel Latte. I would stay here again as it was very central location for all the touristy spots and 5 blocks away from the CTA.

Our three night stay at the Fairmont was nothing short of spectacular. We had upgraded our room to one of the gold rooms, and let me tell you we were very happy we did. The gold room allows you access to the lounge on the 15 floor. Included is your breakfast, light afternoon bites, and dessert from 7-9 pm. The lounge workers that we encountered, Mandana and Tamara, were so sweet and always were asking us if there was anything more we needed. The gold room amenities included: Nespresso machine and pods, mini bar and snacks, separate fridge for guest use, ice bucket, alarm clock, iron and ironing board, in room safe, shoe shine station, Le Labo toiletries, and an oversized umbrella. I especially loved the two separate sink counters in the bathroom and the rainfall shower. My husband's only gripe was with the pillows and that they were too soft for sleeping. I told Mandana about the pillow dilemma while at our lounge and she had someone bring up different pillows for us within 15 minutes!! They are so incredibly attentive to their guest needs at the Fairmont. We definitely recommend this hotel for any kind of stay in Chicago, and if you can, don't forget to upgrade to one of their gold rooms.

I had a conference at this hotel and the hotel staff were great! The food was good, the chicken was a little dry but the fish or beef options were very good. The conference spaces are spread across the first floor, lobby, and second lower basement level so you will be using the escalators and elevators a lot. My conference allowed time between sessions to get from room to room but you might have to run between floors if that's not the case.

Stayed this week for a work conference held at the hotel. It can be daunting to know your entire two days will be spent in different rooms in the hotel you're in. The Fairmont is so well designed for this, it didn't feel so claustrophobic. We had different events, on different floors, and the catering was well done, not easy for a group of 400. From the moment I arrived, fantastic check-in staff, through all the events and meals, I felt well taken care of. The room was spotless, and the Nespresso machine was a huge bonus. Comfy bed and pillows, plus a separate bath + shower, plus robes. We had dinner at Toro one night, and the experience was top notch. The cocktails are expertly crafted, and the food is amazing. Get the smoked guacamole, trust me. All in all, I would absolutely stay here again, thank you for a wonderful visit.

Stayed here for Lollapalooza weekend. Checked in a bit early at no cost. Staff were very welcoming! Props to the valet guys outside they're always giving a welcoming and great vibe! The maids were also very nice and always kept our room clean too! Location wise the hotel is great for walking to food places, shopping and also train/bus! Inside the room, the room was very big and spacious! views out the window were pretty good too! Next time I visit Chicago would definitely come back! If you visiting Chicago this hotel is great as well but it will be a bit pricey during lolla.

The Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park does a cute Winter popup called The Lodge. Pros: - The decor is so adorable. It feels like you traveled to a ski lodge without having to travel out of town. They offer a lot of photo worthy opportunities. - This is the perfect spot for families! - The homemade marshmallow was delicious and massive. They offer you a s'more with whatever package you purchase which is a perk! Cons: - The vegetables selected weren't of the highest quality. It tasted like they grabbed the random vegetables from the kitchen they didn't want. They didn't pair well with the cheese in the fondue.

I came here for a work conference and therefore just picked the hotel due to the ease. I was very happy with my stay here. The hotel is very environmentally conscious including their water bottles which were made to be easily recycled and reused. Our room was really nice and big and the shower worked very well. The bathroom was also huge! Most the rooms had bathtubs and a shower which is so great. Their lotion, shampoo, and conditioner was so nice! One of the few places where I did hesitate to use the products. I will say that we got a view room and I didn't think it was that great so not sure if it's worth the extra money/night. Everyone was very friendly and even accommodated a very early check in and late check out without hassle. It's located pretty close to most things including Cloud Gate, the Art Institute, and the river. I'd definitely come and stay here again.

What a rip off This place is far too expensive for what it is. Had to contact the front desk for soap, shampoo which should have been stocked. $31 for a breakfast burrito plus delivery fees is a joke. The coffee is gross and the "complimentary" espressos is maybe 4 ounces at best? I should have taken a photo but there was a strange thing that looked like a scab on the art above one of the beds. The dudes who work down stairs are super awesome and helpful when looking for a cab and that's why this place gets two stars I get the location but so not worth the price

While searching hilton.com for a hotel to stay at on the day of my birthday, Hampton Inn Majestic…read moreChicago Theatre District was the first to pop-up within Chicago. I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

Hampton Inn majestic will let you relive the Chicago fire!!!…read more Was not a fan of their elevators since they kept jumping from levels 6 and 7 and would randomly stop without being called. The last Hampton inn I got stuck in the elavator and had an off experience with getting help, so I chose to use the stairs. Upon using the stairs we were met with SEVERAL linen boxes blocking our only exit. They were all in different directions and could not be easily rolled out, especially when we were blocked behind them. Instead we had to parkour over it to escape. There was a valet driver sitting at the front and ignored us after I asked for help and continued to say she's just valet she can't do anything. These bins were there for well over an acceptable time, blocking the only stairs and fire safety exit but also for people that didn't enjoy their sketchy elevators. And again, pallets were there days later also blocking the ONLY emergency exit and stairwell exit. Completely unacceptable in a normal city let alone one with history of building fires. Exits should not be blocked and it's clear the building uses this space for "storage" often. Before the fire situation even happened, their breakfast situation was insane. Our first morning was on a Monday. Their service is until 10 am and around 9am we headed down for some fuel. By that time, the dining room was packed, the tiny buffet room was empty of food but packed with people who were waiting for tables, chairs and all of the food to be restocked. One woman was trying to run the whole operation while two men just stood behind the concierge desk and watched the shit show of breakfast service happen in front of them. Someone should have helped her get breakfast together. Even if it wasn't their job, in hospitality, their job as hotel manger or anyone who works in the hotel is to make sure the guest have a pleasant stay, not to look pretty sitting in front of the Hampton inn welcome to Chicago sign. Overall unorganized and not something nice to look at when you first walk into a hotel lobby, chaos. You would think the grievances would stop there. However we were then denied the benefits that we get as gold Hilton members. Previously at hiltons and Hilton branches we have been offered two bottles of water per room per day. Most of the time they would be offered upon check in (which they did not) and given daily throughout our stay. This time the concierge allowed my mom just to go grab them out of the fridge. The next day we did the same and the concierge Robyn gave me immediate backlash even after I said we were previously allowed to take them. She repeatedly said I was wrong and gave no hospitality to hear my side of the story. I didn't want to cause a scene and returned my water. She then slammed them onto our table as I was eating breakfast with my family. Definitely could have been better ways for her to deal with the problem and I did not appreciate the hostility coming from the concierge at 9 am. We were already all crammed at a small table because there are no seating arrangements easily accessible for families or even enough seats in the dining room. One star because housekeeping did great and my room was clean and refreshed when necessary (and because zero is not an option) Otherwise I would hope I never have to stay here again.

The staff were somewhat friendly until different things started to come up... 1st issue: Friday night the elevators completely stopped working. Big problem due to having a small infant and needing to get the stroller down. We were staying on the 10th floor. But an even bigger problem was that we started to notice floods of people come on our floor and notify us that there was not an exit even via the stairs!!!! My husband got on the phone with the front desk and the reply was "you are just going to have to wait for the elevator." This was completely unacceptable and UNSAFE- what if there was a fire? What if something dangerous was happening and we couldn't get out of the building? This itself would have landed this hotel at a 1-2 rating. The elevator issue didn't fill resolve itself for our whole stay- only 2/3 were in service and they took 5-10 minutes to show up each time. Seriously inconvenient. 2nd issue: they put one of our rooms (we had 3 groups) literally next to the pool. Kids were screaming their heads off beginning at 6:30am and it would carry on until 10pm. When SIL called down to the front desk she was told "sorry that's just how it is and it should quiet down soon." Again, completely unacceptable. We had young children and infants who needed to nap and go to bed early. 3rd issue: we asked for a late check out since our flight was later and we needed to get our baby to take a nap- after all of these issues they said they would extend it to 1:00, which was nice. We did then ask if it could be extended another hour and we were told it would cost $25. Fine... what was not fine was when there was banging on our door and someone walked in at 1:25pm to clean the room. It woke up our baby and completely defeated the purpose of us extending our late check out and paying the extra $25. 4th issue: apparently they don't clean the rooms unless you are staying for 3 or more nights? We didn't know about this and assumed we would get new towels since there is a sign in the bathroom saying "hang towels to reuse" or "if you would like new ones, place them on the floor". We needed new towels so we followed what it said and then were told our rooms wouldn't be cleaned or even checked to see if we needed new towels. Good things I will say: - very convenient area - provided a pack n play - Starbucks in the hotel - hotel room was clean Would have love for this stay to have been better since the Marriott is well known and usually a great place to stay.... but the lack of customer service makes it hard to want to book another room at a Marriott hotel.

They had a cute popcorn station with candy and pop, plus you can order room service. The spa was amazing and the facilities were nice.

We were in town briefly for a wedding, and the JW Marriott was our hotel of choice. While not…read moreluxury, the hotel was very nice and comfortable, and the location was central to our wedding happenings. Everything was great until I checked out and discovered that I had been charged $88 per night for parking. That was quite unexpected. I had been in Chicago just a few months earlier and had paid $55 at the L7 Hotel. So I was shocked that the JW could charge so much. How is their valet parking better than the valet parking at the L7? I realize now that had I been traveling alone, and not with my family, it would have been cheaper to fly to Chicago, than drive the 4.5 hours from Ohio. Apparently the hospitality industry hasn't caught on to the current affordability crisis, or at least Marriott hasn't.

We landed here not because it was my first choice but because all Chicago hotels were booked or…read moreexpensive. Apparently there was a WNBA event in town. So the JW seemed affordable within the mix...at $700+ a night... I've stayed at a few JWs across Asia and the US. For whatever reason this one didn't seem to meet JW's normally high standard. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it started with the lobby and bar. It was always overcrowded and noisy, and just didn't feel very intimate or elegant. That followed with the fact there's only one restaurant in the hotel and both times we visited it was nearly empty. It's tucked on the second floor back in the corner, and just feels like a standard obligatory hotel restaurant. The food was good but the ambience was just odd. The room was well-appointed, including a comfortable bed and soft sheets. And the bathroom had everything we needed. But the service day-to-day required follow up. They forgot to restock coffee, water and cups a few times, and when I called the front desk they delivered in a trash bag. There is a daily service charge that I believe is $50 a night and provides Wi-Fi, access to gym, and a free class. We went to use the gym to access the sauna and steam room, but learned that's part of the spa not gym so had to pay a separate per person charge. The spa was refreshing but fairly standard. Not like the Seoul Marriott with multiple heated baths and a cold plunge. Call me spoiled. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is very nice but for $700 a night and knowing what I know about most JW's this just seems slightly below their standard. I wouldn't pay that much again, but would come back for a more affordable rate.

Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

Strongly recommend staying away from this hotel. Staff is…read moreincredibly rude and tried to get a reservation at the restaurant to which we are currently staying at the St. Regis and they couldn't care less even with our ambassador elite status.
