Went for the roof top bar and jazz music. The two guys playing were talented and had good humor. Disappointed with the food options. We ordered some fries and they came out burnt. Also requested a mocktail and it was just mediocre. Heavy on the soda water and not a lot of flavor. Great views though!

The Fairmount hotel rooftop treated my friends and I well! The drinks were delicious and strong, and the bartenders were extremely friendly. We were branching out from what we'd usually drink, and they were great as asking us what our palate was, and what we wanted to try, and would personalize drinks for us throughout the night. Went from wine to espresso martinis to personalized drinks. The appetizers and a charcuterie board was set out. Super smart of them to have little fans to keep flies off the food, which I appreciate as a clean freak! The staff was also kind, welcoming us into the hotel and being gentlemen both at the valet and in the elevator. The view is also nice, and sets a great atmosphere if you're here on a date or with your girlfriends. Quiet enough to have a good conversation, plus it being outdoors is a plus during Covid-friendly times!

I've stayed here a few times. This time I stayed in room 215 which was a deluxe king plus. Comfy bed, expresso machine, complimentary Fiji water and best of all NONNA Italian Restaurant. You can dine in or they will deliver to your door.. there is a downstairs bar , fresh herbs in mostly everything they make. Sprigs of mint, basil, and a vast amount of liquers. They even have house made syrups. Thery are undergoing renovations in some areas. The whole modernism thing i get it, wood and metals. Warm nuetral colors accented by vivid hues...However the rooms before reconstruction were absolutely lovely. There is an upstairs bar outside ( patio bar) There is also Silo prime and Nonnas for the best rigatoni and carbonara youve ever tasted in your life.

We went there on a Sunday evening. Wonderful service by bartender Zach. 360 view of downtown San Antonio. Just had a round of drinks after our dinner at Nonna Osteria.

My friends and I had a nice time at Fairmount. We got there right after sunset so it was a bit chilly, but the bartender was kind to turn the heaters on. For the table we ordered the Fried Asparagus Risotto, Akaushi Beef Meatball, and the Artisanal Cheese Platter, our favorite! However, everything was delicious. We had espresso martinis that were very tasty and a surprise drink. Everything was reasonably priced for the downtown area. The bartender was very kind and made the experience that much better. I will definitely be returning to Fairmount.

Wow! This place has incredible views!! We came soon after dining at Silos Prime. It was a rainy evening but this did not stop us from going to the rooftop bar. We went with their dirty martinis and beer. Because of the weather, seating was plentiful. I see myself returning to this bar on a nice evening. I'm sure this place gets packed on weekends and I can definitely see why!! It's definitely a place to check out on a nice night.

Stayed here for three nights with my 11 year old son as we explored San Antonio. We had the best time. The room was gorgeous, as is the hotel overall. It is comfy and feels super fancy. Everyone we encountered who worked there was very nice. it is a very old hotel and has some quirks - for example, our floors were a little slanted, and the key to open the door had to be finagled a bit to unlock the door. BUT it was pretty cool to have a hefty, antique-looking room key instead of a plastic card. Everything (but the door lock) was updated, the linens were lovely, the temperature was comfortable and adjustable, the shower pressure was wonderful, there were huge windows with shutters that opened, making the room so bright and cheery, and the room didn't smell weird. The one thing that could've bothered us was the nighttime noise level. It was pretty noisy at night - car noise, people, footsteps above us. Luckily we just had white noise playing pretty loudly on each side of the bed and we were able to drown that out and sleep really well. This was a great home base for us. We ate dinner at the italian restaurant downstairs, Nonna, and it was delicious and the service was great. We ordered pizza from Dough about a block away, and it was very tasty and super fast. There is a really cool playground behind Dough with lots of ropes to climb. We had an easy walk to Tower of the Americas and the River Walk. We ate breakfast at Shilo's twice, which is just a few blocks away and was super tasty with good service (and very reasonably priced). It was also a quick walk to the mall thing that has Lego Discovery. Using the valet was easy and quick. It took about 12 minutes to drive to Toyota stadium, 30 minutes to Natural Bridge Caverns, and 15 minutes to Get Out of my Escape Room (which is amazing if you are looking for an escape room to try). Having the Fairmount as a home base really made our trip top-notch.

Second stop on our first annual Christmas Eve pub crawl. Rooftop bar accessed only by an elevator in the lobby of the hotel. Maybe you need a reservation? We didn't have one and there was no problem. The weather was amazing for this time of year, sometimes it happens! My husband stuck with an old fashioned and me the bartenders favorite...which also happened to be an old fashioned. The drinks were small but delicious! But the best part was the view....amazing! On to the next stop!

WORST HOTEL. DO NOT STAY HERE! Let's start off with the room door was hard to open, I had to ask a couple staying down the hall to help. I understand that this is an older building but the decor literally looks dingy. Everything was dusty, the bathroom (sigh) the bathroom was disgusting. Rust, mold, dirty. The toilet barely flushed, the shower head looked like I was going to need a tetanus shot after, the sink handles were so rusted they wouldn't turn all the way, mold on the shower curtain. No mini fridge in the room, No pool. Their "free wifi" had NO SIGNAL. The TV kept lagging and glitching. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied for the price I paid. I might as well of stayed at the Red Roof Inn, same experience for a 1/4 of the price. When everything around the hotel is so upscale and renovated I expected more.

Excellent service and beautiful view! Outstanding in so many ways. The seafood tower was to die for and the drinks were so fun!

My husband booked this hotel because of its convenient location, close to the River Walk and Alamo and most important, its in a very old and full of history building. We both really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean with the most comfortable beds and pillows and the very fun and convenient breakfasts and dinners/drinks. The beds and pillows were so comfy, we slept for almost 12 hours our first night... The foods, buffet style, were good, with many options. (They are comfort foods, if you expect high-end kind, it's not for you...) The customer services were what we appreciated and enjoyed the most. All of the staff, from the front desk hosts, to the managers, bartender (Annette), food service group... everyone was so friendly, nice, and welcoming. *The only "issue" that we experienced was the super loud, seemed like hours long, of car honkings, engines noice... of 1 night. But it wasn't the hotel's problem. The home team, The Spurs, won the game and the city was celebrating... Highly recommend this hotel and the services here... It was still AMAZING and left me wishing that I could stay longer! My King Room was huge and ultra clean and comfortable! Taking a break from work, I headed to the pool deck, which was small but sufficient and had comfortable chairs to sun in. I remembered an amazing redfish dish from Ostra, enjoyed so many years ago... I really wanted to eat at Ostra again this visit, because I saw redfish on the menu and wondered if it was really as good as my memory of it. I was initially bummed that Ostra was closed for a private event during my stay, BUT my disappointment quickly turned to excitement when I saw the same dish offered on the room service menu. YES!! It was as good if not better than my memory of it! Finally and importantly, the individuals working in valet, front desk, and room service were so service driven and friendly! Overall, I cannot wait to stay at the Mokara again in the hopefully, not so distant future!

They have fresh fruit and cookies and water scattered throughout the building. What a nice touch. The king premium room is super spacious and very nice. The spa, area is amazing. I really enjoyed the Jacuzzi, sauna and the relaxation room. Followed by the Massage. Everything is perfect here. I haven't had one issue at this hotel. Everyone that works here is simply top-notch and I understand the level of class at this hotel is all about. It's definitely not cheap but let me tell you what you get what you pay for because this is top-notch service. This will be one of my go to hotels when I come to San Antonio from now on

In the lobby for checkin today, I had an instant headache because the fragrance was so strong. At that point they informed us that there is some additional fee per day on top of the already pricey room, a fee that they never disclosed before today. We continued upstairs, and I could hardly breathe in the elevator it was so scented. When we got to the room it was also heavily fragranced. I tried to call the front desk, and the phone in the room didn't work reliably. Our call dropped several times. They offered box fans for us to air out the room. However, when we opened the windows, a blast of cigarette smoke wafted into the room because it is directly above their designated smoking area. We asked the front desk for help, and they said not to worry, hardly anyone smokes in that area. Meanwhile we watched several people out there smoking almost constantly. They offered no other accommodation or help. Not worth it. Very uncomfortable and upset because this will ruin our vacation. Edit: 1 to 3 stars. The manager eventually heard our concerns, responding to a secondary issue with cigar smoke in our room after leaving windows open - their recommendation- to air out the room. They found us a different accommodation and made it more than fair and comfortable. Why not 4 stars? Because it took the entire first day to be resolved.
