We did take out wings. They were very good. Would definitely do again. We got a variety of sauces on and some sauces on the side.

The food here is really good. From a great Reuben, to Brisket sandwich, wings or Old Bay fries. The bar also has a lot to choose from.

Love the atmosphere at Fairways. The food is amazing and it's awesome seeing the beautiful scene of down river golf course while dining.

Just lunch on a dreary day, so wasn't busy with golfers. But my Reuben and fries were great! I will definitely stop in again.

I ordered the French dip which was amazing (beef sandwich with Au Jus dip). Trust me- get this! The surf and turf burger was alright- though we may be tough critics because we are from Maryland and love our lump crab cakes! The crab cake was a little extra fishy tasting but the burger and fries were good! Oreo cake was delicious and the Eggnog Martini was spectacular! We also tried the Hot Apple cider cocktail with spiced rum which was yum. Sadly women's bathroom soap dispenser was not working though. If you're there, check out the gift shop. I would come here again on our next roadtrip up north!

I had lobster ravioli and the oatmeal pie, which were delicious. They also have a little gift shop next to the tavern, which has some very nice gifts and decor for purchase. I purchased a couple Christmas ornaments. The gift shop building also has a big fireplace so it is very warm and cozy in there too!

They had soft country music playing and country decorations on the walls. Very pleasant atmosphere. I got a loaded baked potato and a grilled chicken salad. The baked orator was one of the best I've ever had. Cooked perfectly and had plenty of melted cheese and bacon bits on it. The salad was BIG. My Mom had fried steak dinner. It came with mashed potato's, plenty of gravy and a side salad. Nice size serving of meat and she ate the whole thing so I know she loved it. We got dessert too. All the desserts are home made. I got strawberry pie (tons of strawberries) and Mom had some sort of Angel food cake with a pineapple whipped cream sauce all over it. Yum. Our server was super nice and the service was good. She came and checked on us multiple times. Very pleasant lady.

This five-star review doesn't come because this side of the country isn't saddled with many replete restaurant choices. But because the food is cooked fresh and the wait isn't normally too long. Just think classic, American diner food, but cooked better. The last time, my roasted beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and beef gravy was so hearty and delicious, I ate it all. It can get quite busy sometimes so I would recommend reservations for larger groups. And every time I came here, I left with a box full of sugar cookies from the bakery to take back home to FL to enjoy. There's no better touch-of-home than a homemade sugar cookie with frosting. It was a quick trip, so we managed to keep our little ones entertained. Frontier Tavern is a great option if you have kids since it's the more casual restaurant on property and has a variety of seating with a more lively atmosphere. They also offer an extensive kids menu with crayons so they can color and stay entertained. The main issue we had here was that the service wasn't really the best. We ordered our son's meal and repeated it at least 3 times since we've been working on getting our son to talk to servers. However, our son's meal came out first and it was completely wrong. The server was apologetic, but it also made it hard when the rest of the meals came and he had to watch us eat ours. The main entrees for me and my partner also came out cold. My partner got the shaved steak and cheese sandwich, which was soggy and just okay. My meal was also okay, the pulled pork sandwich but felt like it was drowning in sauce and was also served cold. Our daughter ordered the French Onion soup and she also didn't love it since it didn't taste as good as others. I'm not sure what that means! She is only 5 but clearly has elevated tastes! Finally, we asked for some other sides and our server pretty much forgot all that we asked. He was friendly but just not the most attentive. In the end, it was an okay experience and we'd probably go again. But it's a high price point for this area and had much better service at the other restaurants on property.

The Bloody Mary, called the "FILTHY MARY" ($17), was described as a Bloody Mary infused with house spices and seasonings, including Tito's Handmade Vodka, tomato juice, salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and lemon. It tasted like the ingredients were pulled off a Walmart shelf and tossed into a glass. I would recommend they invest in a proper mix like Zing Zang. The chips and queso were simply bagged tri-color chips with a small crock of cheese. The Caesar salad was below average--bagged croutons, random stems of lettuce, and an oddly sweet dressing. The brisket mac and cheese was especially disappointing. While the portion was large and the mac was OK at best, the brisket was shameful: small cubes of tough, rubbery meat. I didn't eat it--it wasn't worth taking.

Plus at the end it wasn't slow at all but pretty average paced if you ask me. My friend ordered the artisan fruit and cheese board to share and it was really good. We especially liked the contrast of the honey mustard and zing sauce.. I got Will's Mountain Club on grilled sourdough and its as on point...tons of flavor, just the right combination of meats and sauces and really crisp delicious bread. Service was outstanding, like really attentive and good, super friendly, very accommodating. Couldn't have been any better. One of the biggest things I loved about this place was their support of local artists. They had local fine art for sale everywhere around the restaurant. I was on a motorcycle otherwise I'd have taken several prints home but I had nowhere to put it. I did copy the artists names down and placed a couple orders when I got home. They also had things like sourdough chocolate chunk cookies for sale packaged inside. I bought one to eat later, never had a sourdough cookie before and it was great! They have a garden outside that's fun to walk through and I'm assuming they get some herbs from it for their meals. Good sized parking lot and easy to get in and out of and if you're on a bike you can park on the concrete by the building instead of the gravel. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area. Rode all the way up from Cumberland where we were staying and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
