The fajita meat looked totally different than what I'm used to, but we gave it a go anyhow. The beans are nice, rice was fairly good. The salsa is too runny but has a nice flavor just too watered down. The queso dip was too runny as well but had a nice taste. The chips are so thin I really didn't care for them. Their tortillas are nice and worth getting. But we would honestly not come back. Ambiance at this place is dead no music no spunk. The outside patio is very sad and plain. If you don't want to grill, then this is a place to get you done good food just don't set your expectations high. We ordered delivery via DoorDash and really enjoyed the beef fajitas. Dare I say they are on-par with Lupe Tortilla - my favorite beef fajitas in the world. The fajitas came with all the trimmings - pico, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese, and tortillas from scratch. We ordered medium-sized queso which was more than enough for the two of us. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the salsa. I know that salsa is largely personal preference, and this salsa was essentially warmed thin/brothy tomato soup. We both took one bite and didn't have anymore. I'm glad I was finally able to try Fajita Pete's! It's been on my list for a while but we kept skipping over it because they don't serve margaritas at the restaurant. Since it was delivered we could make our own margs at home - although we would have gladly purchased from the business if it was offered (hint hint!). We ordered food for our son's engagement party and the food itself was great. Lots of compliments and there was more than enough for the 14 people we had there. The problem was that the food was thirty minutes late . When I placed the order , we decided to have it delivered about a half hour before guests were to arrive so it would be set up and warm. This location is about five minutes from our home so I called when it was twenty minutes past our delivery time and was told she's on her way. Ten minutes later she finally delivered it after I had people milling around with no food by that time. She wanted a tip from my husband after I had already left a tip on line which was crazy after being that late. We then discovered the ice we ordered wasn't there . That showed up about an hour later half melted on our front porch with her driving off. I was really disappointed with this location's service but whatever....the food was great. read more

Before we start the review, I ordered through uber eats and my order of combo fajitas after delivery and before tip was $42. This is almost double what it would cost to come pick it up so if I'm paying that much, theres an expectation that the foods going to show up hot and fresh. we ordered combo fajitas for 2 through uber eats. the tortillas were hard as rocks by the time they got to our house (30 mins). the foil wasn't sealed well and they were super gross. Thats fine, i can get over that (we have tortillas at home). But then we bit into the chicken and everyone spat it out at the same time. They looked cooked through but the texture was like they were raw. Not sure if this is just how their chicken is or something was wrong w/ our order. They actually screwed up my order and I'm still giving them 5 stars. You see I ordered a combination fajita dinner half beef and half chicken. When it came out it was all beef. Are white person was busy and I was super hungry so instead of calling the mishap to her attention I dug in and started eating. These things were amazing! It was some of the most tender beef I have ever eaten from any cut of beef. What are white person reappeared I commented to her how amazing these were and she told us that they are marinated for a minimum of 24 hours before being cooked. The result is nothing short of amazing and I have ordered beef fajitas every time I have come back LOL. I have to give a shout out for their queso too. The flavor combination and it is amazing. We got free margaritas for it being National Margarita day. But on Fridays and Saturdays in the evenings they offer two complimentary Margaritas per guest. Sadly this isn't a good review.. this used to be such a good place for fajitas but don't know what has happened here but the fajitas were not good at all.. the meat was cold and chewy and the flour tortillas were hard and cold...can't imagine them charging 33.00+ for beef fajitas for 2 and them being this bad..You get very little meat for 2 people for the price and for it to not be fit to eat is just not OK. read more

Save your money! I ordered takeout from this awful (imo) restaurant. I added specific instructions due to medical issues. Food was not edible. Mystery protein was impossible to chew or swallow and food seemed as though it had been sitting all day. I called the restaurant immediately and received rude phone! I asked for a manager and was told that he was too busy to address the issues and that once food leaves the "restaurant", it becomes an Uber issue. Seriously, $42.00 + for a single order of fajitas is outrageous. This was a nasty, disgusting experience. Once was more than enough. Do not order from this place unless you want "rocks sitting in your stomach " all night. Absolutely feel ripped off! Food: We got half a pound each of beef, chicken, and shrimp - beef is thick but was slightly dry, the chicken was very basic and didn't stand out too much, the shrimp was so absolutely delicious. Rice was a bit too salty, but the fresh soft tortillas completely made up for it! I definitely will be returning to try out the other dishes on their menu! Horchata tastes very "packaged one minute prep powder" and a little watered down. Atmosphere: Colorful and straight forward. I wish they broke down the wall to the right of the entrance door and added more tables and seats. I guess that it is great that some restaurants have weathered the COVID situation so well that they feel like they don't need any more business. That's what I experienced on my last visit to Fajita Pete's on Campbell. They have a lunch special that ends at 2pm. I arrived 10 minutes late. I asked if they would still serve me the lunch special. The manager (I guess) told me "No." I tried to plead my case, that I was only 10 minutes late. I asked if they just did not have any of the lunch menu food still warm in the kitchen. She told me that yes, they had the food, but that she was not going to give me the lunch price. I looked at her and asked, "isn't it better to sell me the lunch deal for $7.99 plus a drink plus a tip than to make no money from me at all?" She answered "no!". Obviously Fajita Pete's is not hurting for business and this lady was not interested in me as a customer, nor the money that I was going to spend. As a result, I might not be going back. And it's a shame. When they first opened, the owner was often present and treated all of the customers so well. This no longer seems to be the case. I spoke with some of my neighbors and they indicated that the service has really dropped off. One of the neighbors even said that he had an experience similar to mine with the same female manager. Now, in their defense, it was 10 minutes after the lunch special ended. So, technically, they were not misleading with their advertising. But really, I thought that the COVID situation hurt restaurants. I found that this is NOT the case here, that Fajita Pete's must be rolling in the dough. I ended up going to another Tex-Mex restaurant where their lunch special also ended at 2pm. But when I asked, they smiled and welcomed me, telling me that it did not matter and that they were happy to offer me the lunch deal. Wow, what a difference! Oh, well, since Fajita Pete's obviously doesn't care about me spending my money with them, then I am happy to oblige. My lunch budget will go elsewhere... read more

It's great for picking up a pound of fajitas and ALL the sides to take home to feed the family. I prefer the chicken over the beef here. It has a great char-grilled, tequila-lime flavor. Great food that I've always enjoyed as a catered lunch at my office. First time ordering pickup for the fam. Close to the start of quarantine, I ordered a to-go family pack. When I went in, all staff were wearing gloves and masks. Plenty of hand sanitizer at the counter. Very friendly staff, quick and ready. Food: always love the beef and chicken, ordered combo shrimp and beef fajitas for 2. The shrimp was not impressive. Beef was spot on, as always. I was just a little underwhelmed with the portion size of the meats. A little skimpy, in my opinion. BUT, plenty of stuff to load up those yummy tortillas. Plenty of guacamole, sour cream, salsa, rice and delicious beans. Only 4 tortillas total, why not more? Ordered the flautas for my daughter: they were fantastic!!! Always love their chips and salsa. They are very fast with their order especially if I'm running late on grabbing a bite to eat. The staff is really sweet and courteous. If you like your fajitas tough, well done and grey, these are for you! The meat appears to be run through some sort of machine, apparently to try and tenderize it due to their use of low quality meat. This was our first time to order from Fajita Pete's and it will be our last. We liked the idea of all of their order combinations and were looking forward to trying a new place. Tonight was my first time eating here and I mist say it was pretty good! I ordered the fajita platter with the "mixed" meat option which is chicken and beef and that also comes with rice, beans, sour cream and lettuce and tomatoes. I also ordered queso abs guacamole thinking it would come out first but it was considered a side item so it came out with the meal. The beef and chicken were both cooked well. They were tender and flavorful. And the amount of food you get in the fajita platter is perfect for one person. The service was great.. the restaurant was a clean, very casual environment. The only reason it's lacking a star is because I have this Five Stars app that kept suggesting I go there since it was in the area and the app kept picking it up. The reward I had was for a free queso or guacamole. When I went to pay they said I couldn't use it at first but then ended up giving me a free guacamole anyway. Which I shouldn't really complain about but I would have been just as happy if they had just adjusted my bill. Overall it was a good experience. read more

I love it when an establishment has a specialty; it gives them the opportunity to focus on perfection, and they have definitely succeeded.
